We have a lovely piece of property to come enjoy a getaway at. We enjoy all of the peace and quiet around here. The night sky is unbeatable in my eyes. We have a small hobby farm with lots of very tame animals. We have 42 acres to roams with lots of trails within the woods that are filled with aged oak trees and many young maple trees. Our property is filled with lots of wild flowers and wildlife.
We are locate 3 miles from the root river if you enjoy fishing or going for a float down the river. There are two caves in our area that are a must see while you are visiting. I you like to hike there is a state park 14 minutes from us that have many miles of hiking trails and horse trails.
If you are more the small town strolling type of person we have lots of small towns around us that are filled with shops and lots of great food! There is a large system of bike trails in our area that make a very fun way to check out some of the small towns.
If you have a family with kids we have a lot of fun activities you can do with your kids, like spending time with the goats and chickens, playing on our playground, or taking a nice walk through the woods looking for fossils!

Hidden Springs Hideaway is a little oasis, nestled in the woods. Located in southeastern Minnesota's driftless region, where you are surrounded by rolling green hills, the Zumbro River and limestone bluffs.
Only a half-mile to the quaint town of Mantorville (some call it the Stars Hollow of Minnesota) where you'll find a cute coffee shop, antique stores, a breakfast spot in an old school house, a park on the river, a restaurant built in the 1850s and a saloon with drinks and live music.
The Hidden Spring Hideaway is an off-grid, sustainable glamping experience set on a 25-acre working homestead just 15 miles west of Rochester, MN. Along with forest views and trails, don’t be surprised if a few friendly chickens wander by to say hello. Enjoy a pot of coffee or a bottle of wine, among the trees.
The bell-shaped canvas tent provides private sleeping accommodations for two (a real queen bed, not an air mattress), an outdoor kitchen space and a gravel patio to relax with a campfire. The property offers walking trails throughout the 25-acre woods with mature trees, an array of birds, flowers, a food forest, wildcraft medicinal herbs and the Zumbro River for guest enjoyment. If you would like a tour of the woodland property, one of the site hosts - Steve (a tree expert), would gladly show you around the land. Please send a message and we will arrange this for you.
Please note, the Hidden Spring Hideaway has no running water or electricity. Everything is run on solar, rechargeable batteries and propane. There is adequate lighting inside and outside, plus lanterns, flashlights and headlamps for your use. For drinking, cooking and washing, there is a three-gallon cooler full of water for you. You're welcome to bring more of your own water as well or there is a convenience store a half-mile down the road (Casey's). There is a new outhouse on the property that includes a bench seat toilet. There is compostable material provided to sprinkle in after you finish your business. Handwashing supplies are provided.
Firewood is available for purchase. $5 a bundle. Please message me at least a day before your stay to reserve and it will be delivered to the site.

Neil clearly takes pride in his spectacular property and goes above and beyond to be a phenomenal host. This is my second time camping here and it keeps getting even better! The privacy is so nice and the views are absolutely beautiful. The yurt is extremely nice- spacious, dry and super clean! Neil has added extra touches to make you feel welcome like fans, lanterns, nightstands, rugs, etc. He’s responsive and easy to communicate with. This is a favorite spot and I’m so grateful he’s willing to share it!

Weekend Trip to Hidden Spring Hideaway - Glamping
My husband and I had a fantastic weekend glamping! The property was beautiful, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We also booked the sauna and cold plunge experience, which was absolutely worth it! We spent some time frisbee golfing at Driftless at Game Haven Reservoir, just a short drive away, and definitely recommend checking that out, too.
Mantorville is also a beautiful little town worth exploring! We highly recommend stopping at The Old School House for a meal.
The host was wonderful and communicated great throughout our stay. We loved exploring the property, walking along the river, and simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Overall, a fantastic experience and the perfect little getaway. We would definitely recommend it!

This Hipcamp was beautiful and private. We really appreciated being surrounded by a nature preserve with beautiful views of wildflower fields and pond. We saw monarchs, geese, ducks and at night our site was visited by many deer. Our host was attentive and friendly coming by to say hello after we arrived.

We had an amazing family camping weekend, even though Mother Nature definitely put us to the test! 🌧️
The entire weekend was wet and rainy, and the creek below the hill where we originally planned to set up camp ended up flooding. Despite the challenging weather and unexpected flooding, the campsite itself was fantastic. It was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate all 10 of us, which made a huge difference for our family.
What really made the weekend special was that we didn’t let the rain or flooding ruin the experience. We stayed together, made the best of the situation, shared plenty of laughs, and created some great family memories. Sometimes the unexpected adventures end up being the ones you remember the most!
The campsite was beautiful, spacious, and a great fit for a large family group. Shout out to Eric, great host. We had a really good time and would definitely consider coming back again — hopefully with a little less rain next time! 😄🌲🔥

We enjoyed days of peaceful solitude and forest bathing as well as excellent fishing access to the beautiful Root River. The maintenance and cleanliness levels are superb. And host Eric is a pleasure to work with. We eagerly look forward to returning next year!

This was the perfect overnight stay for us on our National Parks road trip. Beautiful, private and everything we needed to unwind and rest. My husband fished the pond and caught 4 fish while I relaxed with my knitting. We got a good nights sleep and hit the road the next morning, headed to South Dakota. The host offered us apples from the tree at the Pavilion which was a lovely gesture and the apples were delicious. This was the first of our Hipcamp stays and I’m sold! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if we pass this way in the future. Thank you Shannon♥️

We really enjoyed the privacy of the spot.
It was like your “typical” next door camper. Kids adored the trampoline and making friends!

Weekend Trip to Lanesboro Acres
Very peaceful and scenic spot! Bed had a super comfy memory foam mattress, you just need to bring your own pillow. Location is close to both Mystery Cave and Niagara Cave as well as Amish towns and a charming downtown Lanesboro is only 10 mins away. Good hiking and biking trails in the area as well. The perfect rural getaway overall. Super friendly hosts!
