Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Welcome to The Pavillion at Walking Eagle Marsh! This acreage is a quiet, private oasis just outside of Forest City. We offer 30 and 50amp hookups, and tents can be placed almost anywhere within the mowed areas surrounding the water. There is no water or sewer at this location, but potable water may be filled at our home just 1/2 mile down the road, or in Forest City. The Pond also has a cedar pavilion with picnic seating for 16!! Catch and release fishing is allowed, and the fire pit is perfect for campfire stories and roasting marshmallows! Multiple nature trails are available to explore within our 200 acre extended property, with prior notice please. Local attractions include Pilot Knob State park just down the road to the East, and Bear Creek Golf course to the west. We are avid RV’ers, and have enjoyed camping for over 15 years! We can’t wait to host you!The Pavilion at Walking Eagle Marsh features a flat grassy space overlooking our pond. This site is perfect for quiet mornings, scenic evenings, enjoying nature, and entertaining friends and family. There is ample room for tent camping under the oak trees and on the open grassy space. Enjoy catch and release fishing in our pond for crappies, bluegill, and sunfish, or roasting marshmallows over the fire. Guests will enjoy privacy, with 4 peaceful acres to themselves. Electrical hookups include 50 and 30 amp, as well as 110 outlets at the campsite and the pavilion. There are no bathrooms, water, or sewer hookups at this site. Guests must be self-contained and leave no trace. Please reach out for approval if bringing pets with you. We look forward to hosting you!

Walking Eagle Pond
Beautiful property just too close to the busy road & traffic noise for me and my liking . There were also hunters on this property shooting off very loud guns very close by. Close enough to wake us at crack of daylight But Shannon did communicate with us & let us know they were out there. After driving 5 1/2 hrs there didn't get to enjoy it like we had hoped to do. Booked for 4 days only stayed 2. Just too much noise and distractions for me. Not good for veterans or those that might have PTSD from combat or likes peace and tranquility. Just not what I was hoping for.

Walking Eagle Pond
Had the best stay here at Walking Eagle Pond. Very peaceful and quiet. The hosts were nice and even let us pick some apples of their apple tree and we made the best homemade apple turnovers!

Shannon has a great little spot on offer. We took our twin toddler two year olds camping for the first time at this location and it was perfect well groomed grass with organic apple trees and a brand new pavilion made our evening very comfortable. There’s also a fire pit and we were able to roast s’mores.
