There are three bedroom areas upstairs with a full modern bath. One room Full bed, One room Queen bed, and the third is an open area with a privacy curtain and sitting area as well as a King bed. The living area has light seating area with a twin pull out loveseat, and two recliners. We have kayaks available for use. A small dock. There is some erosion on the bank we are currently working on but no beach, its in the process. Pets are allowed but please do not allow off leash or out of small fenced in area. All pet owners must clean up after your pets outside and if you leave for the day you are responsible for them. I recommend kennel trained as they act completely different and strange place. Ours are the same. Owner is around but can not watch pets as we work full time. I can check for a local teen to provide day care if requested. Breakfast foods will be supplied but there will no cooking provided. If you have special requests for breakfast foods please forward that information one week prior to arrival. There’s plenty of room to park trucks and trailers for bringing your toys up. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore begins in Munising, which is only about 5 miles east of the home. Our home was recently gutted down to the studs and completely remodeled. We opened up the living room/kitchen area and added a bathroom and brought the washer and dryer up to the main level. There’s a brand new 65” Roku TV in the living room and we have fiber optic wireless internet. We also added a tankless hot water heater so everybody gets a hot shower! We supply a crock pot, blender, drip coffee maker, and all the necessities to cook a meal at home. There’s a nice, large foyer with a bench and a shelf with hooks with plenty of room to store all your coats, bibs, helmets, boots, etc. -Separate rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations.

Our cottage offers 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 2 full beds. Come up to enjoy Pictured Rocks & numerous waterfalls in the area. Only 2 blocks from Christmas ORV/snowmobile trailhead. The space During the summer, our cottage goes from Saturday to Saturday (not required to stay all 7-days). We are adding central air conditioning to the home for the summer of 2021. The second bedroom here is a little odd. It used to be a jacuzzi tub room. The jacuzzi tub was removed, and now there is a bed in there. The room still has a toilet and sink in it. We have added a curtain to block the toilet view from the bed. While it is unusual, we think it is worth keeping to have an extra lavatory for larger groups. The home has a beautiful view (especially for evening sunsets!) overlooking Furnace Lake and is very quiet and peaceful. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do :) Up to 2 dogs are allowed with preapproval, but there is a $75 non-refundable pet fee that will need to be added. Guest access Guests have full access to the home, garage, red outbuilding next to the garage, and yard. The red outbuilding near the road is not available to guests.

We then added the campground (we are most proud of the campground, as it did not exist prior to our ownership). In the winters we worked on the inside of the cabins, which is what we continue working on to this day. We have completely remodeled 3 cabins; Eagle Harbor, Copper Harbor and Isle Royal. Smaller projects are being continually worked on in the other cabins. Slowly but surely, we are turning this property into our vision. The harsh winter of 2018/2019 led to two roof collapses and even more work!! In 2020, we designed and built rustic bungalows in our campground for nightly rental. Please, take a walk down Backwoods Alley and check them out. In the winter of 2020/2021, we built new custom showers in 3 cabins and replaced the old siding on Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor. We think the new cedar shakes complete the rustic feel we are aiming for. In the spring of 2021, we added 4 new campsites and built a new bath house for our campers. We also ordered new windows for Tahquamenon Falls and Mackinaw Island, however due to the pandemic we did not receive them in time for installation (insert angry emoji). It has been so rewarding having customers return to this resort and commenting so favorably on the changes we have made! What will 2022 bring? Stay tuned.We could not have done ANY of the resort changes without the help and support of my parents, Roger and Marcia Hart. They sold their own home to live out here full time to be a part of the resort’s transformations. Without them, this dream would not have been possible. They truly define the saying, “labor of love,” as we often can only pay them with love.  Our dream truly became their dream, as well.

The living area has light seating area with a twin pull out loveseat, and two recliners. We have kayaks available for use. A small dock. There is some erosion on the bank we are currently working on but no beach, its in the process. Pets are allowed but please do not allow off leash or out of small fenced in area. All pet owners must clean up after your pets outside and if you leave for the day you are responsible for them. I recommend kennel trained as they act completely different and strange place. Ours are the same. Owner is around but can not watch pets as we work full time. I can check for a local teen to provide day care if requested. Breakfast foods will be supplied but there will no cooking provided. If you have special requests for breakfast foods please forward that information one week prior to arrival. We are conveniently located right on M28, about 1/4 mile west of Foggy’s Steakhouse and next to the entrance of Pictured Rocks RV & Campground. You can ride right from the home to miles and miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the winter or ORV trails in the summer. There’s plenty of room to park trucks and trailers for bringing your toys up. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore begins in Munising, which is only about 5 miles east of the home. Our home was recently gutted down to the studs and completely remodeled. We opened up the living room/kitchen area and added a bathroom and brought the washer and dryer up to the main level. There’s a brand new 65” Roku TV in the living room and we have fiber optic wireless internet. We also added a tankless hot water heater so everybody gets a hot shower! We supply a crock pot, blender, drip coffee maker, and all the necessities to cook a meal at home. There’s a nice, large foyer with a bench and a shelf with hooks with plenty of room to store all your coats, bibs, helmets, boots, etc. -Separate rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations.

Our cottage offers 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 2 full beds. Come up to enjoy Pictured Rocks & numerous waterfalls in the area. Only 2 blocks from Christmas ORV/snowmobile trailhead. The space During the summer, our cottage goes from Saturday to Saturday (not required to stay all 7-days). We are adding central air conditioning to the home for the summer of 2021. The second bedroom here is a little odd. It used to be a jacuzzi tub room. The jacuzzi tub was removed, and now there is a bed in there. The room still has a toilet and sink in it. We have added a curtain to block the toilet view from the bed. While it is unusual, we think it is worth keeping to have an extra lavatory for larger groups. The home has a beautiful view (especially for evening sunsets!) overlooking Furnace Lake and is very quiet and peaceful. Hello, and welcome to Superior Times Resort and Campground! We would like to take a moment and introduce ourselves. Our names are Tom and Heather Holmstrom. We were married in 2016 and have four children as part of our blended family. We are both originally from the Upper Peninsula. Superior Times and Resort was the result of us wanting to do something “outside of the box” that would allow us to raise our family and showcase our love and respect for the beauty of the Upper Peninsula…the area that many refer to as “God’s Country.”  In December of 2016, we mistakenly pulled into the driveway of this property. At that time, it was known as Coleman’s Paradise Resort. There was a For Sale sign marking the property. We both knew at that point our fate was sealed to become this property’s new owners. We learned that this property had been a family vacation destination for nearly 100 years. We could only imagine the special memories that had been made here over the years! We wanted to become a part of that deep history.Through the many years of the resort’s history, the owners had changed and the cabins were showing true signs of their age. We knew there was A LOT of work that simply had to be done. On a wing and prayer, we somehow made this great resort ours. In April of 2017, we opened what we named Superior Times Resort and Campground. We pulled up or sleeves and went to work! We began this resort’s transformation by replacing nearly all of the roofs. We then added the campground (we are most proud of the campground, as it did not exist prior to our ownership). In the winters we worked on the inside of the cabins, which is what we continue working on to this day. We have completely remodeled 3 cabins; Eagle Harbor, Copper Harbor and Isle Royal. Smaller projects are being continually worked on in the other cabins. Slowly but surely, we are turning this property into our vision. The harsh winter of 2018/2019 led to two roof collapses and even more work!! In 2020, we designed and built rustic bungalows in our campground for nightly rental. Please, take a walk down Backwoods Alley and check them out. In the winter of 2020/2021, we built new custom showers in 3 cabins and replaced the old siding on Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor. We think the new cedar shakes complete the rustic feel we are aiming for. In the spring of 2021, we added 4 new campsites and built a new bath house for our campers. We also ordered new windows for Tahquamenon Falls and Mackinaw Island, however due to the pandemic we did not receive them in time for installation (insert angry emoji). It has been so rewarding having customers return to this resort and commenting so favorably on the changes we have made! What will 2022 bring? Stay tuned.We could not have done ANY of the resort changes without the help and support of my parents, Roger and Marcia Hart. They sold their own home to live out here full time to be a part of the resort’s transformations. Without them, this dream would not have been possible. They truly define the saying, “labor of love,” as we often can only pay them with love.  Our dream truly became their dream, as well.

The land was right next to a road but it was not a busy road. It was a cheap and nicely located site! I would recommend this site to anyone just looking for a safe night’s sleep (with no amenities)

RV was clean and very well stocked on the inside. Interior looked brand new, and the campsite overlooked a pretty meadow surrounded by trees. Cute S'Mores bucket inside with everything you'd need. Convenient location, was able to do an evening hike to Mosquito Beach from this location. Why stay in a campground and spend thousands of dollars on your own RV when you can just stay here! Highly recommend Captain Ron's for fresh, hand-processed whitefish. Thanks Danielle!

Great quiet and private spot. We never got a single mosquito bite and we stayed for a week. We had our dog and this was great for her, she played in the grass and had nice walks in the neighborhood. Love the gravel/concrete as we were able to not drag in as much dirt. We used the concrete pad for morning workouts as well. Wayne’s a water guy, so has great water quality and pressure. He is also a kind man with lots of good local suggestions. We loved Muldoons pasty, not the other places as much. Get the traditional it is amazing! $5 pints at East Channel Brewing and good flavors also. Also we were able to see the Northern Lights at Miners Beach one night. Enjoy!

We really enjoyed staying on Erin’s land. Ease of in and out, full hook-ups, trees, wildlife, proximity to attractions all added to the appeal of the site. Only the outer two sites were occupied so it felt very spacious. The cool firepit and on-site games provided easy opportunities for relaxation between adventures. We’d absolutely stay here again.
