This is a half an acre wooded lot in a residential neighborhood on a 25 mph paved road. Jeannie & I loved Phil & Stormy's Place. It was quiet this time of year, and we were lucky to be the only folks at their Camp. They definitely had made it their own, and have great amenities. Firewood & Firepit, 30 amp service, a water hose , picnic table & dry kindling.. 2 Porta Potties on site, and a RV cleanout. Great Wooden games around the site for folks enjoyment. Phil is a world renown Game maker who makes Games and interesting items, which he makes in his shop on site. Sends it all around the world. Besides meeting Phil and Chit chatting, because we are both Hip Camp Hosts, Phil gave us a tour of his Shop and woodworking area. Pretty impressive. He was a great host, and is Passionate about Kubb, a Yard game that was originally played overseas, but because of Phi, brought the game to the US. He actually has his own playing field. Owner was easy to reach. Site is nice and quiet. Neighbors are close but we never heard or saw them. Easily backed our 40 ft class A into site with enough space for two cars and our dolly. Had a nice campfire with wood that was provided. Beautiful location. Could even hear the waves of Lake Superior on a choppy evening.

Weekend Trip to Lake Huron frontage Campsite

You truly are sitting lakefront. I sat on a couple of boulders and just watched the waves. So incredibly peaceful. Instructions were clear and directions were easy to follow. One thing I will note is that you truly are rural - there is a grocery store and a few food options, but it's limited. Of you are an early riser, know that many of the food establishments open later. The site is absolutely gorgeous. I simply could not have asked for a better experience.

Well-kept, even grounds tucked in a hidden meadow. More space between rental spaces than an RV park. Owner leaves out a box of kindling for the fire. Will definitely make this a repeat spot on trips to Petoskey and the UP.

Weekend Trip to Lake Huron frontage Campsite

Absolutely awesome campsite! The location couldn’t be better—close to the ferry for easy access to Drummond Island, yet tucked away enough to feel completely private and peaceful. The views of Lake Huron and Strawberry Island are absolutely beautiful and make this spot even more special. The host was outstanding—friendly, responsive, and an excellent communicator. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

A great small campground in a great location for a Basecamp to explore northern Michigan from. The owner has put a lot of love into the property. He quickly responds to messages as well.

We (39') are parallel to the road facing the electrical connections, grill, and campfire.

Weekend Trip to Mackinaw Camp Inn

Perfect spot to explore the area, just 5 minutes to Mackinaw City and the bridge, Todd was very accommodating, allowing 2 RV’s to stay. 45’ truck/trailer(need to back in-no issues) and. 25’ Class C. Site has power (50/30/20) and very nicely fixed up just like your backyard deck. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to return to after a day of exploring.

Great location to camp with full hook up. Walking distance to both a beautiful small lake and a beautiful Lake Superior beach. Located in a quiet neighborhood. The scenic byway is beautiful to drive and offers many places to stop and enjoy Superior. The neighbors on one side are a little close, but it was no problem at all. We hope to be back because we love this area so much.

Phil has a very nice little setup on his property. The sites are nice and the shower is nice. I highly recommend staying there if you don't like high volume campgrounds and just want peace and quiet.

Great place to stay with our teardrop camper. We booked on short notice to split up a long drive. Very convenient access off I-75 right by the bridge. Easy in and out with a teardrop trailer. Had a porta potty, electric, a light, fire pit, chairs, trashcan. Private enough, although it is close to the road and a house is visible close by on one side. If it's available the next time we pass through on our way to the UP we will definitely stay again!

Hidden Meadow is an awesome property and Phil is a great host. He was incredibly responsive to a couple questions I had prior to booking which enabled me to book Rustic Campsite #4 with confidence it would meet my needs. I’m super stoked I stayed here! Rustic Campsite #4 is perfect if you’re looking for peace and quiet! I felt as though there were no other campers and yet the property was full. There was a table with umbrella, fire pit amd wood and a trash can all onsite. There’s also a really nice “outhouse” with a foot pump for water within 50 feet. The Stargazer trail is awesome too! I can say with 100% certainty my next time in the area I will stay again.

A quiet day in paradise. Campsites are very large with fire pit and a bin of free wood is provided on site between the solar showers and portapots. So much beautiful land to walk and explore. If you like a crowd this is not for you. Most times I have been here, there were less than a handful of campers.

We enjoyed the private site and easy access. There was a fire ring, table, chairs and a swing. Plenty of room for our 43' motorhome, tow vehicle and another camper van. Entrance was clearly marked, we did unhook our tow vehicle before getting to the site. We backed in from the road, there was no room to turn around in the actual site You heard road noise during the day, not so much at night. Great location to explore the Island.

Beautiful flat site with electricity! Not too close to the other sites. Phil provided kindling and firewood.
