We have 50/30/20 electric, softened iron and odor free perfect water, septic, WiFi, and can accommodate a very large rig, lots of parking available. All graveled. At the end of a dead end paved road, so lots of privacy. Only 3 mile drive to Lake Superior. A mile the way the crow flys to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. There is only 1 site, so you have the area to yourself. Pellet grill, tables, and chairs are available for your use. It would make a great base camp for spending time in the central upper peninsula. We purchased the property 2 years ago, and put a had it cleared we just got the building done and are adding in grass and other things, so I may be around putting in some work on the property, this wouldn't be anywhere near where you would be parked. Hi there! We have 5 yurts spread across our 40 acres with each yurt having lots of individual space and privacy. We hand built our yurts from scratch using wood from our land and local lumber, as well as sewing all the vinyl ourselves. The yurts are almost completely locally sourced, everything was handmade by us, and sustainably sourced. We are really excited to share the land we love with folks from near and far. Your yurt is equipped with a full sized futon, two burner stove kitchen with all cooking appliances and utensils, 2 gallons of fresh drinking water (as well as oil, salt, pep, coffee, and tea all provided), a small dining table with chairs, and an outdoor fire pit. A short 7 min drive from our property is beautiful Little Sand Bay beach. This free, public use National Park beach is gorgeous with views of Sand and York Islands, great swimming spots, $2.00 hot showers, and kayak launch. Important things to note about your yurt site! The access to our property is via a long dirt road, this road is accessible for all vehicles but it is about a 2min drive through the woods to get to the yurt sites. Once you arrive on the property your yurt is a 2-4min (depending on which yurt you choose) hike up a hill from the parking area. I recommend backpacking in your items. Wheely coolers and bags will not enjoy the terrain. The Portapotty is located at the parking area as well. That being said, a little bit of walking will be involved in your stay :) If you love walking you are in luck and can explore the trails on the property!

This is a nice little campsite on Lake Superior with plenty of beach to walk in both directions. We really enjoyed our late season camping trip and lucked out on the fantastic weather. Host was great and accommodating. We would love to stay again.

I had the best time staying here with my dog. The area is far enough away from things that it can be deafeningly quiet at night. Had all the supplies I needed just like advertised. All yurts were reserved and I only saw the neighboring folks as they walked to their car. Never heard anyone! Truly a peaceful little spot and you can tell the yurts were made very well. 10/10 coming back and going to have friends rent the other yurts for a fun weekend. I had just enough cell service to make a call in the parking area, and enough to send and receive texts at the yurt.

Great place to stay! All necessities provided (even coffee and tea)! Peaceful, quiet, and tranquil even though other yurts were nearby you’d never know it. There was a cart at the bottom of the hill for toting your supplies, which was incredibly handy. Lots of downed trees nearby for firewood.

Great quiet and private spot. We never got a single mosquito bite and we stayed for a week. We had our dog and this was great for her, she played in the grass and had nice walks in the neighborhood. Love the gravel/concrete as we were able to not drag in as much dirt. We used the concrete pad for morning workouts as well. Wayne’s a water guy, so has great water quality and pressure. He is also a kind man with lots of good local suggestions. We loved Muldoons pasty, not the other places as much. Get the traditional it is amazing! $5 pints at East Channel Brewing and good flavors also. Also we were able to see the Northern Lights at Miners Beach one night. Enjoy!

We had a great time at this property! Right on the beach with a couple different areas to set up camp, near the beach or in the wooded area. They had 2 picnic tables which helped out a lot with cooking and eating meals. The property is fairly close to neighbors and the road, but with the trees and greenery it felt pretty private. No cell service in the area whatsoever, but it gave us the chance to disconnect.

Our family of five plus our pup really enjoyed staying in the 26 foot camper. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed from linens for the beds, towels, to kitchen supplies. Howard was a great host and responded quickly to any questions I had. This was the perfect location right off 41 which made it super easy to explore all that Keweenaw has to offer, including being close to all the trails. We brought our Jeeps and had so much fun exploring the northern top of the peninsula all the way down to Houghton. Great spot, would definitely stay here again!

This was a truly lovely site. We enjoyed the privacy and setting up our tents on the sand. It was a windy day, but the layer of trees really made it comfortable and possible to still make a fire to cook over. We enjoyed watching the amazing sunset and relaxing in our hammocks as the stars came out. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful camp spot!!

We had a great experience staying at Tammy’s spot right on the shores of Lake Superior. Views were spectacular, with beach bonfires every night watching the sun go down and waking every morning to sunrise. Super close to all Porkies hikes and accessibility. Not to mention, Tammy is a really lovely host, very responsive, kind and helpful. Can’t recommend her and her place more. Piece of heaven here.

We were completely happy with the accommodations for our 2 nights as we adventured around Pictured rocks. Wayne is a topnotch HipCamp host. Wayne also has a lifetime of knowledge of the area around Munising MI. We highly recommend this place as a home base for adventures in this area!
