There is room for 4 cars, and as many tents as you can set up. We have 4 rules: 1) Leave no trace. Do not leave garbage at camp. This site is accessible by a gravel driveway that leads to secluded land perfect for your camping getaway. There is tree cover, but also open areas. We have a designated area for camping that includes a fire pit, ground level metal deck, and a comfortable outhouse. There is no power or running water. Experience camping for real! (fun fact: this property has been passed down four generations of women!) We are near downtown Manton, downtown Mesick, and downtown Cadillac. Our favorite places to visit are Dayhuff lake (10 minute drive), numerous seasonal roads and trails, the Manistee River, Traverse City (45mins), Emerald Vale Golf Course (10 minutes), and Pleasant Valley Amish market for baked goods (5 min). Notes based on feedback that we've gotten from campers: -the driveway is steep, as seen in the listing photos. The recommendation for trailer size should be followed (18ft trailer max, plus 17ft car/truck). There is a corner at the top of the hill that might be tight for anything larger. I will note that there is a review where someone made it through with a 21ft trailer plus their vehicle; proceed as you will with this information.

This area is known for live music venues, and lots of weekend art festivals. Manistee is also home to the Little River Casino. We have firepits at each campsite, dry firewood is available to purchase, feel free to pay by cash, Venmo or CashApp, cost is $15.00 a wheelbarrow and can be found by the wood burning stove under shelter. Fresh flowers bouquets are available to purchase seasonally at our Floral Stand & Market. We have local NON GMO Pasture raised eggs $5 a dozen, Sourdough Bread $10, organically grown garlic, peaches, scones & fishing lures & our Guest Book! An outhouse is available for use and is supplied with toilet paper & hand sanitizer. There is a garbage can and recycling bin near the outhouse. We installed a water hydrant close to the flower bed near the wood pile so you can get potable water to bring back to your site, or hose off with on the spot. 26 acres of forest, wetlands, pasture, creeks, and a pond. We are a working farm: raising goats, and chickens. We live on site. We are also a County destination as a Petting Farm by appointment; providing personalized and private tours of our farm. Home to dogs, cats, miniature pigs, miniature horse and donkey, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, goats, rabbits, a small cow, and guinea pigs, & more The camp site is tucked in off the main road nearly 300 feet but accessed from our driveway. It is a 45 x 15' gravel pad behind a row of trees that runs parallel to the drive. If you park facing west your doors will be facing an old growth forest in which lies a beautiful sandy bottom creek that flows in to Lake Leelanau. We provide an off-the-ground fire pit. Wood is available for purchase at the roadside stand. When the chickens are laying we have fresh eggs available as well for sale. Potable water is available at the barn. We do provide a porta potty at the barn, as well as, filtered well water at the barn. Wineries, water, and distilleries abound in every direction. Many are within walking and biking distance. The farm is walking distance to Lake Leelanau and Schneider township park. Walking/hiking trails are available throughout the property and nearby areas. Provemont Pond which lies across M-204 is a lovely natural area with many trails. Shopping or rock hunting in historic Fishtown, aka, Leland is 6 minutes by car, a bit longer by bike. We are just minutes to several Lake Michigan beaches, Suttons Bay and Northport. We're nestled within the Manistee National forest where you can hunt and trail ride or hike, so bring your ATVs! Several rivers and small lakes surround us, great for kayaking, boating, fishing, etc. Warning, there is a small pond/seep that holds varying amounts of water and muck, less than ankle deep to knee deep, based on time of year and precipitation. We had a fantastic stay at Site 1 – Elm Valley (hosted by Jayne). From the moment we arrived, Jayne greeted us warmly, offered firewood, and helped guide our 22-ft travel trailer into the perfect spot. The site was level, flat, with water & electric hookups—just what we needed. We were among the last campers of the season and feel grateful we were able to secure such a great location. The location was very convenient—several wineries were just a short drive away—making it easy to explore when time permitted. We were in town for the Iceman Cometh Challenge mountain bike race and enjoyed chatting with Jayne about the event and her family/friends who’ve done it. Upon departure, her husband stopped by to ensure everything was good—it wrapped up the stay perfectly. Jayne is exactly the kind of host you hope for: friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. We’ll absolutely plan to return—maybe next summer to make fuller use of those nearby wineries. Highly recommended.

Easy spot to get to driving; location and directions are accurate. Appreciated the heads up of minimal cell service for Verizon customers. Beautiful spot in the woods. Sandy, flat soil makes tent stakes easy to go in. Plenty of privacy from the road and nearby buildings. A little more road noise than anticipated, but not that bad. Host provided everything needed at the camp site and more: private area for showers/changing, plenty of firewood, picnic table, drinking water, extra table (very helpful!), fire pit, portapot that was exceptionally clean and fully stocked. Host was great at communicating before and during the stay. Location is convenient to all rivers, hiking, etc. in the area. Would stay here again and recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The scenery was stunning—fall colors everywhere and peaceful views in every direction. It was incredibly quiet and relaxing, perfect for a weekend getaway. The campsite were large, clean, and perfectly level, which made setup a breeze. You can really tell the hosts take pride in keeping the place beautiful and well-maintained. We’ve done a lot of fall camping, and this was easily one of our favorites. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This site was exactly what I was looking for: private and secluded, but not totally isolated. I felt very safe here as a solo female traveler. Ideal for car camping, camper vans/small trailers. There is a clean port a potty, garbage can, fire pit and picnic table. The site has its own road that leads to it. Surrounded by national forest land and less than 30 minutes from Lake Michigan beaches. Will definitely be camping here again soon!

Nice quite and secluded rustic camping. Plenty of room in between each camp site(50 to 100 feet) with tree's and bushes in between. Porta potty was very clean with plenty of supplies. There is even a disc golf course on site. There is also a convenience store and Dollar General 3minutes away.
