Weekend Trip to Cherry Plain Sanctuary Farm

The teepee was roomy, had 2 large fire pits, 5 gallons of water and plenty of firewood. Also, the animals on the farm were very sweet. I enjoyed the quietness of the location and the friendliness of the hosts. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get away for a night under the stars!

2 nights at Atland Artist Residency

Beautiful property. Quiet and peaceful. We stayed two nights in the tent, which was comfortable and all set up for us with clean bedding and flashlights. We enjoyed the hot outdoor shower, the very cold and drinkable water at the sink area. The best part (since we stayed during a heatwave) was the river at the end of their driveway which was so cool and peaceful. We enjoyed visiting Williamsburg and Northampton, which were not far. We loved staying here and love supporting their space for artists.

Weekend Trip to Piebald Mountain

This site was perfect for us! super private, yet, with breathtaking views. It was clean and organized. everything was well thought and simple to find and operate. This is one of the few glamping sites which I feel is perfect all year round.

Weekend Trip to Upper Shire Campsites Hudson Valley

We loved camping at Upper Shire! The cabin was amazing. It was cozy and had all of the amenities that we needed and then some! It was well built and very cute. We definitely recommend taking the canoe out on the little pond. It was gorgeous. Joanna was extremely hospitable. We are definitely coming back.

Weekend Trip to Woodland's Edge Glamping & Hot Tubs

The Mossy Glen Bell Tent is one of three beautiful campsites here. The area is gorgeous and magical, with fairy-lighted paths leading to the campsites. This was "glamping" in the sense that we did not have to set up our own tent and Andrea set up a double-size cot, an air mattress, and a big bean bag with blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags. I am glad we also brought our own sleeping bags and pillows to add to the bedding options and make it even more comfy. The bell tent itself is like a big army-style tent with a zippered door. We were a group of 3 and had plenty of space. The first night it rained a lot, but we stayed cozy and dry in the tent. The floor is not very even (it's set up on pallets to keep the floor dry and elevated) so be careful walking around. The campsite also featured a covered kitchen structure with counter space and a place to lock up food and trash. Andrea provided a cast iron pan, 3 tin cups, a cutting board, and a glass growler full of water, which she refilled once for us. Bring your own water too. Attached to the kitchen structure is a composting toilet (for poop only, you should pee in the woods). There's also a table, 2 plastic chairs, a bench, and a fire pit. Andrea provided one bin of firewood for free, and we bought a second bin for $8. This kept our fire going all day! There is a huge expanse of beautiful, magical forest right behind this site that we explored for hours. This place is amazing; highly recommend! Andrea is a great host!

Weekend Trip to Piebald Mountain

We honestly weren't sure what to expect for our weekend in the Bell tent. Sure, the hipcamp posting looked beautiful but we were were skeptical about how private it'd actually be & with a rainy weekend forecast we began our trip hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. However, all of our concerns melted away as we pulled up to the bell tent. The location is absolutely stunning. Nestled in the lush mountain, we woke up to a view I continue to dream about. The tent itself is MASSIVE and sooo roomy. It's stocked with everything you could need including an incredibly comfortable queen bed, mini fridge, wood burning stove, all the necessities one could need while camping and beautiful string lights that provide the perfect ambient lighting. Despite the scattered showers, we spent our days hiking down the road in cherry plain state park and checking out some of the local farmers markets and antique shops in the neighboring towns of Berlin and New Lancaster. We even welcomed the rain at night as the sounds of drops hitting our tent was the perfect calming white noise to put us to sleep. So yeah - this place is amazing and we will DEFINITELY be coming back! OH! I almost forgot to mention how incredible the host, Tarah, is! She reached out ahead of time with additional info and provided an entire spreadsheet of things to do in the area. what's more, when she saw the weather forecast was bad for my dates she offered to push my weekend back a day since it was clearing up. <3

Weekend Trip to Thornback Wood

Such a great spot! We arrived very late at night and Zach stayed up to welcome us and show us to the spot. The set up was beautiful, the tent was perfect with blankets down and a mattress that was so cozy to sleep on. He also had a fire pit, stove top with a table, fresh water, a hammock and garbage can. The fact that he allowed the dogs to be off leash is always such a bonus! We had such a great time at this spot. If you do bring dogs with you - please be aware of the wildlife! My girl had a run in with a porcupine that did end up removing quills from her little face! We will definately be back again! ❤️

Our extra large tent can hold a family/friend group of up to 8 comfortably, but is also cozy enough for a couple's getaway. Your private campsite is on the edge of a mixed-wood forest. Deer roam free and you will surely hear the call of coyotes and owls at night. Centrally located within 10 minutes of downtown Amherst, 15 minutes to downtown Northampton, this tent is the perfect base camp to access all that this region has to offer. Flea markets and farmers markets on the weekends, malls, museums and numerous restaurants in the area should you decide to venture out for a bite to eat. Holland Glen, a popular hiking spot with waterfalls and swimming holes is a quick 3-minute drive to the trail head. It is an easy 1-mile ride to the start of the Norwotuck Rail Trail a paved bike path through wetlands and rolling farmland. Or simply stay put, unplug, and relax in one of the hammocks or enjoy our one of a kind wood-fired hot tubs! Our guests are welcome to wander around our little homestead have your coffee in the pollinator patch and watch the hummingbirds, butterflies and bees do their thing. Feed the chickens, then nibble your way through our berry patches, fruit trees and gardens and experience what it is like to live simply in New England. The canvas stretched and the zipper no longer closes all of the way. We are lowering the cost of the site until a new tent arrives.
