Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area. Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here. Evensong Farm is a preserved historic farm adjacent to the Antietam National Battlefield. We have set up two, almost identical, sites on a 60 acre parcel of our farm which is very private for our campers, but allows access to the lovely Antietam Creek. The sites themselves are about 500 feet apart so, while they maintain privacy when booked by different parties, can also be booked together for group stays. We have been hosting campers at our "glampsites" since 2021. Each off-grid site has a 12x16 platform with a 10x12 canvas side wall tent, a firepit and chairs, a cooking area with a grill and sink for washing up, a picnic table and benches, and a private bathroom with a composting toilet and solar shower bag. The main tent is set up for 2 people, although 4 is possible. The sites can handle a max of 12 people, with the use of additional tents (BYO or you can set up some of ours). We provide an electronic camp guide to all of our campers that include our recommendations for things to do in the area, as well as camping tips and other handy info. Inside the tent you will find a queen size bed, side tables, and a cafe table and chair set. We have put down foam flooring and a carpet for your comfort and provide numerous battery powered lights, lanterns and fans. In cold months we can add a propane heater to keep the chill away. We also have some games, maps of the area, decks of cards, and a fire extinguisher. Stepping outside the tent you'll find our long rainfly creates a covered porch where you can relax on our provided chairs. There are additional chairs around the firepit and each firepit has a cooking grate so you can cook over your campfire. We provide one bundle of firewood (including kindling) per night with your reservation. We do sell additional firewood, if needed. In our kitchen area you will find a picnic table and chairs, 5 gallons of drinking water, a clean up table that includes a foot operated pump sink with an additional 5 gallons of washing water, a grill (one site has propane and the other has charcoal), trash and recycling bins, grill tools, lighters, plus dish and hand soaps. Our farm is a mile and a half from the town of Sharpsburg, MD, home of the Antietam National Battlefield (and Nutter's Ice Cream Shop). You will find the Appalachian Trail to our east and the C&O Canal to our west (10 minute drive to either).

1 night at Tiny House on the Potomac

The cabin was womderful. It had everything we needed for our overnight stay, including heat, coffee press, some water, fun games annd books, and a clean outhouse just a few steps away. We enjoyed a campfire by the river, and loved being so close to Shepherdstown ~1.5 miles away. I hope to return in the warmer seasons!

Weekend Trip to Camps at Evensong Farm

We loved camping at Julie’s! When we arrived she help get us to the site (it was dark out already) and showed us around. Every amenity was thought of. There were even cute lights on the cooking tent and on the walk to the other site. We rented both sites for our large group. The property is beautiful and we had the best time!

The ambiance of tiki torches and colorful, crisp autumn nights welcome you and a cozy bed provides perfect relaxation.

Weekend Trip to Conewago Glamp and Paddle

I love spending time at Craig's property. This was my second visit and somehow it was better than the first trip which was amazing. We weren't able to paddle bc the creek was down, and it wasn't impactful to our fun at all. Just book it! And if you can check out the nearby dirt race track BAPS, fun for kids and adults alike.

Weekend Trip to Conowingo Creek Campsite

We had a lovely fall weekend glamping on Gini’s land. The site is beautiful and well maintained and the tent is very comfortable and filled with everything you could want even for cold weather camping. Gini’s hospitality was also exceptional (going out of their way to provide extra blankets and hot water bottles to one of our party who camped in a tent), and the land is perfect to walk through. Our dogs enjoyed the freedom safely. Will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Camps at Evensong Farm

Both sites at Evensong were just wonderful for our 2 families, and Julie was a perfect host. The tents were very comfortable, the sites were very picturesque, and the grounds were perfect (and safe) for letting the kids run around and have adventures. We were particularly impressed with how well-appointed the sites were in terms of things like lanterns, kitchen equipment, and lots of other little details to make the stay more comfortable.

The Evensong sites were just fantastic for our two families. Julie truly thought of everything. The tents were very comfortable, there was ample space for kids to safely run around and have adventures, and the property was very picturesque. I was particularly impressed with how well equipped both sites were with everything from lamps to outdoor kitchen equipment.

Very picturesque setting near an eclectic town. I went there by myself, no pets are allowed and it was everything I had hoped for. It was the last day of a week long trip and it is worth staying for multiple days. Views and cabin amenities are numerous and would recommend to future travelers.

So beautiful standing on the waters edge. Cozy, clean cabin. Nicest "outhouse" I've used. Shepardstown nearby is a great little town and so close. Note: Wifi did not work well at all but only really wanted it to look up nearby places. Sadly it was drizzle so I didn't get to sit by the firepit by the river so I guess I'll have to come back. :-)

3 nights at Conewago Glamp and Paddle

This was my second time at Craig’s space and it did not disappoint! Great eating, beautiful scenes and amenities galore. Me and four other friends set up a tent down by creek and woke up to some of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve seen in a while. If you’re into birding, we heard and saw all kinds of amazing feathered friends. Our dogs explored every inch of the property and we got a chance to kayak pretty far down the Conewago creek. Craig was a master host, incredibly responsive but gave us plenty of room to feel like the space was our own. I can’t recommend this spot enough!

Weekend Trip to Conowingo Creek Campsite

My wife and two older dogs loved glamping at Conowingo creek! When they say they take care of everything, they mean it. We definitely overpacked thinking, “surely they won’t have x item, we should bring it from home” but they do have everything except your food, clothes, and toiletries outside of the normal soaps. Being able to let the dogs off leash on the 23 acres and take a dip in the creek made our weekend. It was nice to just connect with each other in nature with ease. Would definitely recommend!
