Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career.
In the daytime, when you are not sitting around your campfire, you can walk the fence lines and visit with the Mares and Foals or just watch them frolic in the fields. Hint! "They love peppermints, carrots and apples."
Who knows, you might get to meet a future Kentucky Derby winner.

- A treehouse-like tiny house in the woods is available. Fully equipped with heat/AC and tiny kitchen, it is steep 1/4 mile hike perfect for those who like a little adventure. (I will bring up your luggage and supplies in the 4-wheeler).
- Wifi available at all sites.
- Plentiful firewood, available on a pay-what-you-will basis.
Please note: From December to March, the access road to get to our property occasionally gets icy (we plow it but do not salt). 4WD/AWD and/or snow tires is recommended during those months.

We are 1 mile from the C&O canal for bicycle riding, and 1 mile from Maryland Heights hiking trail, and two miles from the Appalachian Trail. This tiny house is on our 5 acre mini farm where we have a few animals and a small garden. Enjoy the outdoor fire pits, grill, and swing for relaxing and watching the deer pass by.

Spring is finally here! And Town Creek is coming alive. Come celebrate 2026 and relax near Flintstone, Maryland on 4+ acres of beautiful creekside camping, the best swimming hole on Town Creek (8-10 feet deep), surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. Town Creek is stocked twice a year by the MD DNR. Our property is private, quiet, and unspoiled by light pollution. Just 15 minutes from Rocky Gap State Park and Casino. Less than 25 minutes from 3 different craft breweries. You should see the fireflies in the summer and the stars during the winter!

Surrounded by the 3000 acres of Rocky Gap State Park, you have the best of all worlds -- camping with creature comforts on a 4-acre private homestead with woodlands, meadows and an orchard, with walkable access to over 20 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails and swimming, kayak/canoe/paddleboard rental on Lake Habeeb and great nature programs by park staff, plus golf course and casino at the Rocky Gap Resort.
Historic downtown Cumberland, MD is just a 12-min drive away, with supermarkets, shops, restaurants, train rides and beautiful mountain views. Check out the C&O Canal Towpath and Great Allegheny Passage for hiking and biking.
Please note, this is family homestead, and there are two houses on the property.
FYI:
- Hot-water showers, flush toilets and an equipped kitchenette with small fridge, coffeemaker and microware are available for your use.
- Two campsites are available. Each includes a picnic table, fire pit, and two Adirondack chairs for your use.
- A treehouse-like tiny house in the woods is available. Fully equipped with heat/AC and tiny kitchen, it is steep 1/4 mile hike perfect for those who like a little adventure. (I will bring up your luggage and supplies in the 4-wheeler).
- Wifi available at all sites.
- Plentiful firewood, available on a pay-what-you-will basis.
Please note: From December to March, the access road to get to our property occasionally gets icy (we plow it but do not salt). 4WD/AWD and/or snow tires is recommended during those months.

We lived the whole property! Plenty of space for both campsites, the creek was great, secluded, private but very accessible and well maintained!
The bathroom is a huge plus, with a shower, a sink, washer and dryer!
Definitely will be back, kiss LOVED it!

Host was great, the camping spot was amazing and the peaceful atmosphere was absolutely the space I needed. My family of 6 enjoyed our vacation there and the fishing was amazing. I most definitely would recommend this property over and over again. Most definitely will be returning to this site again.

My kids and I LOVED Kim’s farm! It was an idyllic setting with great views of the hills and horses, the peaceful sound of the creek, and just enough shade to keep from burning in the sun. T6 site was the perfect size for my suv and travel trailer, and the amenities made camping with kids so much easier. Miss Annette is also a child whisperer and great host, and my kids loved seeing the horses and feeding chickens with her! We will absolutely be back

This is not my first Hipcamp and I have to say this one is absolutely top tier! Where to start? We stayed at "primative" site T7 and I put primative in quotes because it had a freshly cleaned porta potty, a sink with running water, and camping lights overhead which gave us access to a 110 outlet if needed. The site was right on the creek in a heavily wooded area so shade was great and the kids played in the water all day. Then we enjoyed going to look at the horses and the chickens. And the host was gracious and inviting and the staff onsite at the stables were also incredibly kind to the kids as well. There is plenty of wood for sale, the wifi is a luxury and they even had bottles of water and ice pops for sale for the kids. This place is just one big easy button as far as camping goes.
I can't wait to go back!

Our family had so much fun at Kristen’s! We paired up with another family and reserved both tent camping sites, which I highly recommend because we had the whole place to ourselves. The setting is lovely and the amenities are so nice - the Watershed has everything you could need and more. Kristen and her family were so welcoming, our children loved getting to visit with the chickens and gather eggs. I highly recommend Kristen’s to anyone who wants to visit Rocky Gap and loves camping, but doesn't love all the potential noise of the public campgrounds.

This was our first Hipcamp booking and we had a fantastic experience. The Watershed was a very welcome amenity. Kristen is a wonderful host. Our kids loved having so much space to run and play (and meeting the chickens!). The only drawback was that there were a lot more ticks than expected but they didn't spoil our fun.

Denise and Tony have a very special place. The campsites are tucked back by the woods away from the brewery but close enough that the bathroom and shower is very convenient. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy while you unplug. Fire pits and picnic tables are provided and you don’t need much else in such a beautiful setting. We will definitely be back thanks guys.

We car camped on Elizabeth’s land and it was so nice! It’s a little windy and chilly this time of year but nothing some layers and sleeping bags can’t fix. We woke up to see the horses and chickens and turkeys and cats and dogs! So, so lovely!
The bathroom is a little easy to miss and a little dirty but nothing bad. 8/10 would recommend!

* The campsite is exactly as described, offering a very pretty and picturesque setting. We were thrilled to see bald eagles every day during our stay. The hosts were incredibly nice and friendly, providing helpful directions. While the site is generally secluded, there are nearby campsites. However, we were unable to locate the hand pump for freshwater near the boat launch, as mentioned in the listing, and ended up filling our water at the barn instead. Really enjoyed our stay!

Great place to get away and camp. Really quiet, plenty of open space and tree line to camp on. Nice trails to walk the dog or take the Jeep through. Plenty of wood to burn, but best you bring something to cut it up. This was perfect for me because I was camping in a hot tent. They will cut and deliver wood for a price. The bath house was a short walk away with clean showers and conditioned. The Host and Helper were really nice and made sure I had what I needed. I'll definitely be back for another stay.
