Choose from 11 similar sites available for your camping pleasure in our clover filled bottomland as well as our Hilltop sites for maximum privacy, exclusivity and star gazing potential. The natural Shade/Privacy nooks will keep the midday sun off of tents and the surrounding old growth forest makes for a great hike up to a very accessible and kid friendly cave to explore. All sites now have either 10x13, 13x20 or 16x20 shade sails available to keep the afternoon sun at bay. (check individual sites for shade sail size available and in the "extra" section)
Throughout the summer, the river offers a user-friendly experience as water levels recede. Embark on float trips, kayaking, excellent fishing, swimming, cave exploring, or visit the historic towns and the Antietam Battlefields nearby for a touch of civilization during your stay.
We have two kayaks on site free of charge. We have some life vests, but if you have your own, bring those along. The river's main beach located between sites 7 and 8, is shaded/filtered sun all day long while our smaller beach at site 1 is sunny most of the day and affords some of the nicest river lounging via a rock ledge that spans
4wd or All Wheel Drive are recommended. If it's been relatively dry, single wheel cars are 100% fine. We have ways to mitigate most weather events.

Welcome to our fifth generation, mini-valley, woodland, and rolling hills. Empty Cupboard Farm has been family owned since 1918. It is presently planted in soy and corn.
Wildlife abounds, including deer, small mammals, and geese. Bald eagles and Heron even take a pond dip periodically.
Woodland trails are accessible and new tree plantings can be observed.
We welcome
RVs under 30'. It will be too hilly for anything longer. (Be aware: inclement weather is not your friend here if your vehicle can't handle potentially slippery conditions.)

Historical towns within 10 miles any direction are reached over rolling countryside. Gettysburg is less than 20 miles. Baltimore is less than an hours ride by open highway. Blue Ridge mountains 18 miles. Taneytown, 1836, has an extraordinary antique store that is a delight to browse; as well as fine dining, drive through, an open air beer garden and close by grocery stores. Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard.

Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard.

We are located 10 minutes from Rock State Park, Eden Mill Nature Center, and the MA and PA walking trail. We are 20 minutes from Jerusalem Mill Village. You can hike, bike, climb, and swim at 2 or more of these locations.
Tucked Away Acres is just that, we are tucked away behind other houses. The property backs up to power lines where deer can be seen often. We offer a large fire pit, horse shoe pit, small playground, trampoline, swings, and a small zip line over the creek in the woods. Horseback riding is available on certain weekends only (weight limit of 180 lbs) for an extra charge. Type of riding depends on skill level, leadline to guided trail ride. Our cabin is located on Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland where most of land is either State parks or forests because of its natural beauty and recreational value.
The area is an all season resort where you can enjoy the lake and beach as well as various outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, sail boarding, hiking, and horseback riding most of the year.

This is the second time that my family and I have stayed at this site. We liked it so much that we brought friends this time!
The location is incredible and Greg is an outstanding Camp host. He’s quickly responsive to all of our questions and needs.
He absolutely goes above and beyond to make the stay special and especially to find ways to make it really fun for our kids. May daughter loves seeing the resident cats and Greg’s very chill dogs.I also appreciate how flexible he was when some of our plans changed.

We loved Mother Earth Organic Farm! The farm is beautiful (particularly so in the fall!) and the campsites are well-maintained. We spent two nights there and our kids had a blast. The hosts were great communicators and very friendly in person. We came from DC and it was an easy 1hr drive to reach the farm. I would definitely recommend camping here if you’re looking for a nice escape from the city.

Our experience with this farm was a bit different than most people’s stays, as we’re an organization that supported a family in need by placing our transitional housing camper here for 28 days. From the moment we arrived, Seth and Stephanie were incredibly warm and welcoming, giving the family the space and grace they needed to heal and transition during a difficult time.
The farm was absolutely the perfect setting for this season of life. The open fields and natural views provided a peaceful, restorative environment that you simply can’t find in more traditional settings. There’s something deeply healing about being surrounded by nature and wide-open spaces.
The kids were entertained watching the chickens, geese, turkeys, and sheep wandering about the property. These simple joys made such a meaningful difference during their stay and created sweet memories during a challenging transition.
I would highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling through the area, but also to locals who want a new taste of their own community. This farm offered our family something truly special - a safe harbor and a chance to experience beauty and peace during a time they needed it most. Seth and Stephanie’s kindness and the tranquil setting made all the difference.

Tent camping @ Hipville was excellent. The area was well maintained with many paths cutting across the property. The water level was a bit low for effective fishing, but we dropped some lines anyway.
There was very limited prepared wood available when we arrived, and we needed to acquire more in the morning (not a difficult prospect).

This is a glorious, pristine farm w/ complete privacy & seclusion. I was the ONLY camper during my 2 nite stay. Peggy came out of her house to kindly greet me, then left me alone to pick anywhere on her 8 acres i wanted to set up. Nothing was off limits. Was in a yurt w/ 2 dogs they ran around like they owned the place. She was always avail however. Just a text, phone call away or even a holler up the hill. She had a huge burn pile ready for me to use but it was too windy & I set my tent up too close-so no campfire-boo my bad! Property consists mostly corn fields, a lovely pond, a barn & hog house. Lots of green mowed grass. Not totally level (somewhat hilly) but flat enough to set up camp. Lovely willow, maple, locust & walnut trees. The sun set over the pond in a blaze of color. Barn swallows graze the pond & a ground hogs munch dinner. Deer if you're lucky. Bring binoculars! There were ZERO mosquitos. I loved that Peggy was attune to my needs & happy to help without being nosy/overbearing. I felt a real kinship as she runs the place by herself & it's absolutely perfect. She's the real deal-a true blue hard-working farm woman. Empty Cupboard Farm is only a few minutes from all the shopping you'll need but private enough you can't hear a sound at night but cows, owls & crickets. At the top of farm is the infamous Red Door & tons of chestnuts to roast. Its very easy to find, very easy access in. Run, dont walk to EMPTY Cupboard Farm for a FULL renewing spiritual experience.

Our first Hip Camp experience was great! The campground is alongside the C&O towpath which allows for beautiful but easy walks. The nearby cave was a super cool adventure spot, and easy access to the water was a pro for the fisherman in our group.
The sites were well appointed with sun shades and picnic tables, and perfect alcoves for pitching tents. Greg came to check on us a couple of times a day and was always ready with some tips or recommendations. A great spot for October, but I’m already thinking about coming back in summer for swimming and fireflies.

The directions were clear to get to the camp. The site was nice and provided easy access to the tow path and river. Added bonus was the cave a short 1.25 miles down the path which the kids enjoyed seeing. Host was very nice and accommodating, constantly checking to make sure everything was going well. My only room for improvement would be more privacy between camp sites but if you park your cars a certain way it allows for more privacy. Other than that we had a great stay!
