30 acres of mostly reclaimed farmland. We are located where Glade Creek flows into the Monocacy River. There is evidence of civil war activity here and the old river ford is on our property. Creek and river access make this a beautiful, peaceful place that is full of life. The energy here is overwhelmingly positive.
Our house was built in the 1850s and the neighboring farm was built shortly after—lots of history on this property. You will be able to camp right next to Glade Creek which is always cool, clean, and refreshing.
Our goal with opening the land up for camping is to eventually phase out commercial farming on the property and transform it into woodlands using native plants and trees. We've already started by planting hundreds of native tree species along the creek and river banks. Each camper gets us closer to that goal! Thanks for your support!

Welcome to creek-side camping on our picturesque 16 acre farm! Here are a few ground rules to help with your stay -PLEASE READ SO NONE OF THIS IS A SURPRISE-:
-Dogs are permitted if they are friendly and are trained well enough to listen and stay at your site. Again, they must stay at your site unless walking with you on a leash. If your dog inflicts damage to the sites (digging holes, chewing up piles of sticks, chewing up toys to bits etc. please clean up after your dogs. We will provide shovels, rakes if you need!)
- OVERLANDERS: You can bring your overland camper if you want, but you must park your vehicle in the parking spot across from your site at sites 1-3. It is a safety issue to block the entryway/exit lane. Site 4 is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and these rules do not apply there.
-This is a place for relaxation and reflection by the creek. No loud groups, or partying allowed. If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. If your host can hear it, you will be asked to turn it down or off all together.
-This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, dog waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BURN ANY WASTE IN THE FIRE RING BEFORE CHECKING OUT. DO NOT THROW FOOD SCRAPS IN THE CREEK!
-There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Go for a swim and float, no prob! But please float in the vicinity of your camp, so as not to disturb other campers.
- Please do not invite visitors to your campsite. This is an insurance issue, no exceptions. If you want friends and family to experience our beautiful spot, please have them sign up and book a site, wouldn't that be more fun anyway!? People coming to our land who are not booked at a site will immediately be shown off the property.
-Due to virtually every booking asking for earlier arrival and later departure times, we are strictly adhering to the posted check in and check out times.
You can enjoy the following on our sites:
- Free, unlimited wood for your campfires. Each site comes with a fire ring.

There are three campsites on the farm, one by the pond and two by the river. Very secluded and all sites include , firepit, log bench,

The original river campsite has been moved to a more remote spot so that all campers can access the pond and pier to the river.
Farm encompasses nearly 300 acres on the Patuxent River. There is access to the river on high tide via our private creek (must bring your own canoe or kayak) and 150 acres of marshland. Over 100 acres of woods to walk through and a pond for wildlife watching.

Either corn or soybeans with a woods backdrop. Secluded and private, yet 25 minutes to downtown Annapolis, 10 minutes to the Bay, great for cycling, paddleboarding, kayaking all 10/15 minutes from farm. DC 45 minutes, Baltimore 1 hour. Jug Bay wetlands, wineries, fun little waterfront towns and Bay front restaurants all within easy reach.
Check out individual sites for description, each has its own personality. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. First listing actually has several options. For large campers/coach/fifth wheelers the area by the tractor shed will be the best. Around the corner there's two other choices both with firepits which will accommodate units up to 40 feet depending on your backing/maneuvering skills.
Field of Dreams and Sycamore Ridge will accommodate campers under 25 feet with some backing/maneuvering skills.
For those with 4WD and an off-road camper/trailer/tent choose Off the Grid, two entrances for easy access, travel along a logging road to an open site with fire pit. Suitable during dry conditions and not responsible for damage to vehicle or camper. Great spot for those who truly want to be in the woods off the beaten path, site takes about 5 minutes to reach due to low-speed access.

Historical towns within 10 miles any direction are reached over rolling countryside. Gettysburg is less than 20 miles. Baltimore is less than an hours ride by open highway. Blue Ridge mountains 18 miles. Taneytown, 1836, has an extraordinary antique store that is a delight to browse; as well as fine dining, drive through, an open air beer garden and close by grocery stores. Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard.

A 3-person salt-water hot tub is available, contingent on availability. $50/hr. and requires a shower before entering. Spa robes, towels, and slippers are provided, depending on availability.
2 e-bikes and 1 mountain bike, all of which are contingent upon availability. A signed waiver is required. Minimum age is 16 years old or at the discretion of the host. They cost $25/hr. per person.
Experienced horse riders can book horse rides for $50/hr. per person. Inexperienced riders must be led using a lead rope. Signed waivers and provided helmets are required.
Our in-ground, unheated swimming pool is open mid-April to end October. $60/hr.

We had the privilege of being Jon and family's very first Hipcamp guests, and what a fantastic experience it was!
If you're considering booking this property, don't hesitate. It's one of those rare places that's easy to reach but feels wonderfully secluded and peaceful.
The location is excellent. It's just minutes from Snow Hill, where we spent a few hours kayaking through the stunning cypress groves of the Pocomoke River. Berlin is also a short drive away and is full of charming shops and restaurants. It's also conveniently located near Assateague Island, making it a great base for exploring the area.
What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. Jon and his family have thought of everything. They even had additional tents and cots available for our group and would have provided linens if we'd needed them. You can arrive with little more than food and ice and have just about everything else covered.
Communication was excellent throughout our stay. They were responsive, welcoming, and struck the perfect balance between being available when needed and respecting our privacy.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, the accommodations were spotless, and the attention to detail was evident everywhere.
We only live about an hour away, but this felt like a true getaway. We left thoroughly impressed and are already planning a return visit. Without question, one of the best Hipcamp experiences we've had!

Great place to primitive camp, but still have access to a clean restroom and bath house. Host was very accommodating to changes in our plans and even allowed some extra parking overnight at rhe last minute. Highly recommend a vist.

This place is incredible, it is exactly the kind of experience I was hoping for when I found this app. The view is phenomenal you're nearly surrounded by a view of the water. It was quiet and secluded. The snakes at the waters edge were fun to watch.
Mosquito repellent would be wise.

I loved every second of my stay. Nothing fills your soul like quiet reflection while you’re laying in a creek.
The site was perfect. Private, peaceful & more than enough firewood to stay mesmerized the entire time.

AWESOME PROPERTY AND SITE! Our site right by the creek was beautiful and we were so happy that the site was also not over cleared. Plenty of trees and shade to provide a proper canopy over our heads. My buddy and I went and had three kids total in toe, all under 10, and the boys absolutely loved it. Ben was in contact with us early, and was available to address any of our concerns. 10 out of 10 recommend !

We had an excellent stay at Maple Grove Farm! It was definitely hot and shade was a commodity but overall the stay was excellent. The porter potty was well maintained. The host pups were super sweet and got along well with our dogs. The sheep were adorable and provided the perfect ambience. Overall it was a great trip and I would recommend to anyone!

Willows in the Woods is a perfect spot for secluded dry camping. Surrounded by trees, the site has lots of room to spread out. Highly recommend ordering from the farms website to cook over a campfire at the site. The steakums were amazing and perfect for dinner. Curtis was very acomodating and it was really nice meeting some of the rest of the family.

Probably one of the prettiest if not the prettiest Hip Camp spots we’ve ever stayed at. Not only were the views gorgeous, but it was quiet and secluded. Don’t make the mistake we made and forget the bathroom is at the farm which is not super close. Other than that I cannot say enough good things about this spot. Oh and bring some binoculars, because the bird watching was amazing.

Beautiful wooded site. Clean and well maintained. Fabulous places to walk on the edges of the farm where you can see the cows and horses in their pastures. Quiet, peaceful and private. Close to a fun brewery just a few miles away. Will definitely be returning.

Tony and Denise are delightful hosts. The camping sites are clean, secluded from the brewery, and very comfortable. The brewery and full 24-7 bathroom facilities are a short walk from the campsites. Suitable for groups and are controlled-dog friendly.
