30 acres of mostly reclaimed farmland. We are located where Glade Creek flows into the Monocacy River. There is evidence of civil war activity here and the old river ford is on our property. Creek and river access make this a beautiful, peaceful place that is full of life. The energy here is overwhelmingly positive.
Our house was built in the 1850s and the neighboring farm was built shortly after—lots of history on this property. You will be able to camp right next to Glade Creek which is always cool, clean, and refreshing.
Our goal with opening the land up for camping is to eventually phase out commercial farming on the property and transform it into woodlands using native plants and trees. We've already started by planting hundreds of native tree species along the creek and river banks. Each camper gets us closer to that goal! Thanks for your support!

Welcome to creek-side camping on our picturesque 16 acre farm! Here are a few ground rules to help with your stay -PLEASE READ SO NONE OF THIS IS A SURPRISE-:
- OVERLANDERS: You can bring your overland camper if you want, but you must park your vehicle in the parking spot across from your site at sites 1-3. It is a safety issue to block the entryway/exit lane. Site 4 is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and these rules do not apply there.
-This is a place for relaxation and reflection by the creek. No loud groups, or partying allowed. If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. If your host can hear it, you will be asked to turn it down or off all together. Again, please come here to chill, playing football/volleyball or similar sports and screaming/cheering while your neighbor is trying to enjoy their time here is rude.
-This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BURN ANY WASTE IN THE FIRE RING BEFORE CHECKING OUT. DO NOT THROW FOOD SCRAPS IN THE CREEK!
-There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Go for a swim and float, no prob! But please float in the vicinity of your camp, so as not to disturb other campers.
- Do not invite visitors to your campsite. This is a common sense insurance issue, no exceptions. If you want friends and family to experience our beautiful spot, please have them sign up and book a site, wouldn't that be more fun anyway!? People coming to our land who are not booked at a site will immediately be shown off the property.
-Due to many guests asking for earlier arrival and later departure times, we are strictly adhering to the posted check in and check out times.
- No generators!
You can enjoy the following on our sites:
- Free, unlimited wood for your campfires. Each site comes with a fire ring.
- Seating arrangements (picnic table, wrought iron loungers and chairs and wood benches).

Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career.

There are three campsites on the farm, one by the pond and two by the river. Very secluded and all sites include , firepit, log bench,

The original river campsite has been moved to a more remote spot so that all campers can access the pond and pier to the river.
Farm encompasses nearly 300 acres on the Patuxent River. There is access to the river on high tide via our private creek (must bring your own canoe or kayak) and 150 acres of marshland. Over 100 acres of woods to walk through and a pond for wildlife watching.

Spectacular sunsets behind the house offer panoramic views of Sugarloaf Mountain. The night skies are usually clear, making it ideal for stargazing.
A 3-person salt-water hot tub is available, contingent on availability. $50/hr. and requires a shower before entering. Spa robes, towels, and slippers are provided, depending on availability.
2 e-bikes and 1 mountain bike, all of which are contingent upon availability. A signed waiver is required. Minimum age is 16 years old or at the discretion of the host. They cost $25/hr. per person.
Experienced horse riders can book horse rides for $50/hr. per person. Inexperienced riders must be led using a lead rope. Signed waivers and provided helmets are required.
Our in-ground, unheated swimming pool is open mid-April to end October. $60/hr.
Please place any donations in the marked box in the barn. Our perennially hungry rescues appreciate it!

Welcome to our fifth generation, mini-valley, woodland, and rolling hills. Empty Cupboard Farm has been family owned since 1918. It is presently planted in soy and corn.
Wildlife abounds, including deer, small mammals, and geese. Bald eagles and Heron even take a pond dip periodically.
Woodland trails are accessible and new tree plantings can be observed.

RVs under 30'. It will be too hilly for anything longer. (Be aware: inclement weather is not your friend here if your vehicle can't handle potentially slippery conditions.)

Historical towns within 10 miles any direction are reached over rolling countryside. Gettysburg is less than 20 miles. Baltimore is less than an hours ride by open highway. Blue Ridge mountains 18 miles. Taneytown, 1836, has an extraordinary antique store that is a delight to browse; as well as fine dining, drive through, an open air beer garden and close by grocery stores. Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard.

About Tyme Farm is a 26 plus acre privately owned farm used for crops such as corn, soy beans and sunflowers. The property includes a 150+ year old stone farm house, large historic barn on the barn quilt tour in Carroll County, renovated camping cabin for those not into rough camping, fields, streams , woods for hiking, plenty of wild life and lots of quiet. The farm is surrounded by other farms in the agricultural preservation program yet you are only 5 miles from stores, movies, antiques and other aspects of civilization or entertainment if needed. Enjoy watching the deer come out of the woods and meander along the stream and fields at dusk and return in the morning. Electric, water, fire pit and a Port a Pot is available even for rough campers. Pets welcome but must be on a leash or exercise pen or with their owners in some way while here for their safety. There is a large fenced yard for dogs that just have to run if needed. Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.

45-acre Historic farm, several sites to choose from depending on adventure wanderlust (including a 4WD drive site). Located on private gravel lane, approximately 1/2 mile off county road. Either corn or soybeans with a woods backdrop. Secluded and private, yet 25 minutes to downtown Annapolis, 10 minutes to the Bay, great for cycling, paddleboarding, kayaking all 10/15 minutes from farm. DC 45 minutes, Baltimore 1 hour. Jug Bay wetlands, wineries, fun little waterfront towns and Bay front restaurants all within easy reach.
Check out individual sites for description, each has its own personality. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. First listing actually has several options. For large campers/coach/fifth wheelers the area by the tractor shed will be the best. Around the corner there's two other choices both with firepits which will accommodate units up to 40 feet depending on your backing/maneuvering skills.
Field of Dreams and Sycamore Ridge will accommodate campers under 25 feet with some backing/maneuvering skills.
For those with 4WD and an off-road camper/trailer/tent choose Off the Grid, two entrances for easy access, travel along a logging road to an open site with fire pit. Suitable during dry conditions and not responsible for damage to vehicle or camper. Great spot for those who truly want to be in the woods off the beaten path, site takes about 5 minutes to reach due to low-speed access.

Stopped for an overnight as we returned home from New England just ahead of a nor'easter and couldn't have asked for a better, more peaceful place to stop. Absolutely beautiful site with great views. Curtis and Harrison welcomed us warmly and brought a bundle of wood. Great place and would have loved to stay longer...highly recommend.

I had such a great experience at Strawberry Crossroads! Hosts were communicative even before my check in, which I appreciated because of the inclement weather forecast. My add ons (wood and fishing pole) were promptly delivered. The bathrooms were always clean. Location is great, just a twenty minute drive to the beach! Even in the rainy weather I had for my visit, I still had a great time checking out the trails, sitting by the fire, hanging in my hammock, and fishing! There’s plenty of space to find your perfect set up. Everyone was great and I can’t wait to visit Strawberry Crossroads again! Thanks for the memories (:

The site and the staff are absolutely fantastic! We had a rather large party with multiple vehicles, tents and a camper and the staff expertly handled all of our needs. Very clean and peaceful area, fantastic amenities, clear views of the night sky and just overall a great experience. We love this site for many reasons!! One is the privacy compared to a public campground. Several other reasons include a great view, easy in and out, beautiful farm lane walk, hosts are great, and access to local wineries. Even in the rain on this visit, we still loved the visit.

Tj was an absolutely EXCELLENT host, on beautiful land. Truly a great place to get away! Unfortunately the weekend that we booked there was a rough nor’easter blowing through so we left early, but even through that, Tj was kind, responsive, and very helpful. Already looking to book again (hopefully with better weather so we can enjoy the amazing property to the fullest extent) and recommending to all my friends :)

Loved the site and how secluded it was! The river and flowers were beautiful!! Would definitely recommend! The Trail back to the sites is very muddy and the branches down the trail were pretty overgrown, my all wheel vehicle did get stuck but we were able to get it out. I’d definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle if it’s been raining in the area recently! Overall would still most definitely visit again!!

Tent camping by the monocacy was terrific!! Quite difficult to get to the site because of extremely deep ruts and tons of mud. You will need a HIGH clearance 4 x 4 vehicle to make it. Otherwise it was fantastic!!

Willows Farm is a gorgeous stop for anyone who wants peace and quiet with panoramic views in Virginia. The space easily accommodated our Class A and it was nice to be able to let the pups off the leash as we walked the open field and the paths. Curtis was responsive and we really felt like we had the run of the farm. And of course, Cows!!! We love being around farm life! Can't wait to stay again.
