This was our first camping trip with our new little RV. Dan and his wife were the best host and I’m so thankful for their little gem tucked away in the woods. The site had a private dock that we sat and fished on one night. There’s also a beautiful fire pit and a picnic table close to where we parked the camper. A charcoal grill was on site and also a gas grill. Grill was free to use which was great because we brought charcoal. Dan brought Over a bottle of wine as a gift for us first time campers. ❤️. He also met us at the camp site on our arrival and gave us a great tour. The area is close enough to Walmart (we needed so many more supplies) and many other stores and places to eat. The Camp site is beautiful. Very quiet and private. Very Well taken care of and clean. During our stay our truck battery died . Dan came over and helped my husband jump it as soon as I messaged him and asked for help. Thank you so much Dan for all your help and making our camping trip a very enjoyable and memorable one. We will be back again soon to visit your Queen’s property.

Great spot! Nice and quiet. Tucked away and secluded, but close to everything. We only stayed 1 night, but were given a late check out. We also had access to kayaks and it's a wonderful spot to paddle... We saw a bald eagle! We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at cabin 2. This off-the-grid cabin on Cobbossee Stream was exactly what we were looking for. The screened in porch overlooking the water perfect for our meals and morning coffee. Our 7yo loved her bedroom, the dock, and getting out in the canoe. The cabin was very clean and well furnished. We can't wait to come back.

The lot was wonderful and a short walk down the trail to a dock and wonderful views of the pond. Put the kayaks in the water and go. Big Bass if you are into fishing. Clean clear water if you want to take a dip. Plenty of privacy. Very nice owners.

The canvas tent was cozy with the wood stove, and the peaceful farm setting was perfect. The hosts were incredibly welcoming. Kids loved the horse riding with Sandi along with horse grooming and some fun facts about horses. The highlight for us was Tucker (the pet dog), he was so excited to see us and kids loved playing with him. Highly recommend!

Even though it rained all weekend and I didn't get to enjoy the outdoors, the inside of the yurt was so nice we didn't care. comfortable bed. power but no running water and heat if you don't want to use the wood stove so it was just the right amount of rustic. theres a propane burner so you can cook inside and a sink with well water and a catch bucket. would recommend and would come back.

Hidden Brook is located on a small family-owned vegetable farm five minutes outside the village of Cornish, Maine. Three generations of farmers live here presently, but our family has been working this land since the mid 1700’s. Cornish is a pretty special place to live and visit because we are about 50 minutes drive from both the city of Portland on the coast and the White Mountains to the west. There are tons of local hikes here in the foothills, two big rivers to float or paddle, dozens of swim spots, good fishing and a lively little village with at least 7 antiques shops, local art and some pretty darn good restaurants. Our neighborhood even hosts some of the best musicians in the world each July at The Ossippee Valley Music Festival. Yeah, we got it all going on! Come play with us or just chill at Hidden Brook. So far, we have one spot open for “glamping”, The Bus, but will add The Vardo and two more sites as finances and our aging farmer bodies allow. The Bus, an engineless 1973 Bluebird School bus is pretty pimped out. Though off the grid, cell reception is pretty good and rechargable lighting is provided. Our outdoor kitchen, on a spacious deck, includes a heavy duty propane stove, Yeti cooler and pots and pans. Indoors, there’s a slop-bucket sink for dish washing and tooth-brushing, a small woodstove to take off the chill come fall and a nice big fire pit outside. Buses can get hot in summer, so we put ours in a shady little grove of ancient oaks amongst the remains of the farm’s original stonework and installed screens the full length of the bus. We built a compost-style outhouse and a beautiful outdood shower we call “The Cold Drizzler” down in the old homestead cellar hole. Kind of a secret garden bathroom : ) Inside is a full-sized bed for one or two people and two cot-sized “75 long bunks, sleeping a total of four humans. Quality mattresses, sheets and blankets with a change of sheets and tons of pillows ought to provide a comfortable night’s sleep. Four towels provided. Coffee and “pour-overs” on site as well as silverware, bowls and plates. All you really need is ice for the cooler and your food - or just go out to eat. Other things to note: Absolutely no smoking inside All shoes off before entering Quiet hours from 9:30 pm to 6:30 am ( we live in a small community and wish to respect our neighbors ) This is not a party camp, but a place to relax and listen to the birds. Please enjoy your music quietly. This is a working farm, but we will be as sensitive as possible when it comes to any loud machinery use like irrigation pumps and tractors while guests are around. Our dogs may visit, but are laid back once they have anounced your arrival. Directions to Hidden Brook and the Bus: You will be given directions to an address once you book but please make sure that you follow the signage to the bus carefully, otherwise you’ll end up at the wrong property. Drive until you see two giant, eyeballs attached to a telephone pole, and the bus will be immediately after that on your right. Thank you so much.

Toad Hall is a heated, one room, 8x8 cabin in Harrison, Maine, with access to the Bear River for wading and swimming (depending on the river height.) There is a firepit at the cabin, along with one down by the river. Firewood is provided. The lower area by the river is a beautiful place to hang out, pitch hammocks etc... The cabin is near the road, which is great for loading in and loading out, but you will hear/see cars drive by. (Read our reviews, we stand by them!) There is no running water or bathroom on the property so we ask you bring a camping potty and do not bury human waste. The Bear River, which is a beautiful spot to swim and wade in, runs right through the property- but it's also drinking water and a protected watershed. Again, please make sure you have a camping potty plan. Cabin Features: There are 2 cots inside, but also feel free to bring your own pads/bedding... Heat is provided via a propane Buddy Heater as needed (smoke/carbon dioxide detector is in the cabin.) There are solar lights inside, along with a USB plug to charge small devices. It is a clean, warm, dry room, with beautiful light and good ventilation with the windows cracked. Nearby places you will like: We are within walking distance to downtown restaurants and public swimming area on Long Lake. There's also porto potties next to the walkable country store, which has everything you forgot to bring. Also a great ice cream shack, and an above-average watering hole, The Olde Mill Tavern. This is a self check-in/out, so expect an easy arrival process (and we'll ask you to please leave the property prepared for the next guest to arrive.)

Welcome to Eweturn Farm, nestled along the serene banks of the Androscoggin River at the historic Gulf Island Dam site. In addition to Highland cows and Dorper sheep, the farm continues to supply hay, practice forestry, and produce maple syrup. Embracing agro-tourism, Eweturn Farm strives to demonstrate sustainable living practices. To further this mission, ETF has created 2 private all inclusive tenting sites along the "upriver" piece of land, encompassing 300 acres of woods, fields, trails, and waterways formed by the Gulf Island Dam. Guests are invited to explore nature trails, fish in the river, or paddle in canoes or kayaks. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, deer, and wild turkey, common sights in this picturesque and very private location. Arrange a visit to meet the cows, sheep, and chickens at our nearby farm. Solitude without being remote, 2 miles from Rt 17 (past Union Country Club 9 hole golf course). 3 miles from downtown Union (featuring 3 Convenience stores, 1 Grocery store, 2 Banks with ATMs, 2 Restaurants, Pizza, Gas and a Laundromat) and only 12 miles to Camden and Rockland. Good Cellular signal. Good access road for your RV. The amazing views include Owl's Head lighthouse and Matinicus island in the very far distance, sunrise over Ragged Mountain and the Camden hills. To the north the Dixmont, and Bangor areas are visible. Watch the sunset to the west over Sennebec pond and Appleton ridge. To the southwest Mt. Washington may be just visible on a clear day. 75 acres of open fields and woodlands to explore at your leisure. Among the hidden gems you might find are a vernal brook, a distant field that is totally secluded and an oak tree with a heart! Deer, wild Turkeys, Hawks, Owls and Bald Eagles are frequent visitors. The small town of Union also hosts the Maine Wild Blueberry Festival and the Maine Antiques Festival. The Lobster Festival is nearby in Rockland every August. Only one rental allowed at a time - so you get breathtaking beauty all for yourself - and those with you! Note: Part of the land is a working Wild Blueberry farm and as such, on rare occasions, the quiet is interrupted to care for the crop.
