We loved Sienna’s sweet lodging in the woodsy glen, and stayed an extra day to enjoy it. She was responsive and helpful throughout our stay and has thought of every detail inside the cabin and around- the bed was very comfortable, the outdoor shower delightful and we kept the side lifted for most of the day. We will definitely return and are telling all our friends about this wonderful spot!

I enjoyed staying in the cabin but unfortunately it was a one night stay and that one night was a big rain storm. Since I came in on a motorcycle and was already drenched it kind of hindered my ability to really enjoy everything this place had to offer. While I was stuck inside the cabin I found it incredibly clean, comfortable, and well appointed. I was surprised by the lack of bugs present seeing as there are many ways for them to get in as there are lots of gaps between the wood siding. I hope to return when I can enjoy the firepit and outdoor area another time. The rain did provide a wonderful soundtrack to sleep to and the kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook with.

The perfect combo option for a group where some wanted to tent camp and others prefer real beds! This site was incredibly spacious and well spaced from the other A frames and the bathroom was one of the nicest we've ever experienced while camping. This was our first time camping with our dog and Randy made it easy for us by supplying a cooler, water, fire starters and wood, etc. You're very close to Bangor, but you would never know it. The only downside was that being nestled in the woods, it was extremely buggy - come prepared!

Ferncrest Acadia is so special! It’s a brand new place, and they’ve absolutely nailed it. The location is perfect!! Peaceful, surrounded by nature, and still super close to Acadia and all the little towns and hikes nearby. The geodome was insanely cozy and felt so luxurious! Like the perfect mix of comfort and nature. We slept like babies and never wanted to leave! And the stargazing? Out of this world. We laid outside for hours just watching the sky—I've never seen stars like that before. It felt totally magical. You can even pick fresh blueberries right on the property, which was such a fun bonus. Every little detail was so thoughtful, and everything just felt easy. We already can’t wait to come back. If you’re headed to Maine, Ferncrest Acadia needs to be on your list!!

Planned a solo trip to unplug & reset, and couldn't have asked for a better spot. The cabin was even lovelier in person, perfect size, simple & charming... chilly at times but the space heater kept me warm. Amazing use of space... the little cooking area had everything you need but barely took up space. Saw more stars than I have in a long time. Loved the little bridge over a stream and the feeling of privacy & safety. Not much is nearby as far as amenities but great hiking along the coast (~25 minutes driving) was exactly what I needed. Linens were clean & smelled amazing. Will be back. Thank you Sienna! 🙏🏼🌲✨️

This wall tent is located 4 miles from the ferry terminal on North Haven. You will need transportation to the property. The ferry run three times a day and it can be an issue getting a vehicle on and off during the busy season. Walking on (or biking) and off the ferry is usually not an issue but there's no taxi service on the island. The wall tent is 12x14 with a full-sized bed, wood stove, fire pit, and an outhouse. Water is provided and there is also a spring nearby that is safe to drink. The tent sits on 100+ acres of beautiful woods and ponds that are free to explore. Dogs are welcome, there are 3 resident dogs, 2 collies that will greet you and a retired guardian dog that you may spy making her rounds. Also a couple of sheep, possibly pigs, and various fowl. Martha is always willing to give a tour of her farm garden. There are no official hiking trails on the property, lots of hiking trails on the island. North Haven is quiet and a friendly island, with lots of exploring and hiking available. Depending on the time of year there are several restaurants/bars open in town including; Calderwood, North Haven Brewing, Nebo Lodge, and The Landing. The island offers some great farm stands for produce and meat, also depending on the time of year. North Haven Inn and Market is 1.5 miles from the wall tent where you can get all of the necessities. Guests can unplug, realign, and reconnect with nature and themselves and receive services such as yoga, energy work, and bodywork in three ways: 1. When campers request private sessions during their stay. 2. When wellness professionals host ongoing services onsite. 3. During WSS-hosted events that feature healing arts practitioners. Our event space will be available for rental and collaboration with local businesses, nonprofits, and community groups—so long as their purpose aligns with our values: promoting wellness, building connection, and supporting mental health through holistic means and nature's tranquility. Each year we will build on this wilderness campground to make this a place for many. For 2025 we have just a few campsites, some have platforms, some without. Each campsite has a buffer of vegetation with the lake as a view, a fire pit and space to have more than one tent. There will be a camp style toilet; currently we are in motion to have a wooden privy built. There's no running water, not much cell service, no electricity. Park at the main road and pull/carry your camping items into the woods. Your site will be labeled. Trash in, trash out. Firewood, camp owned canoe, and walk the beach (if low levels). Dog friendly: must be friendly, on a leash and please be mindful of dogs digging. Here we value the land, it's sanctuary and soil erosion prevention along the shoreline. Great synchronicity led us to the wild 30 acres of marsh and woodland that is Turtle Marsh. In addition to making a home here, we dedicating the area as a sanctuary for the quiet enjoyment of nature, eco-spiritual practices and healing. We are now recognized by the World Wildlife Fund as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We have trails on the property that are designed for contemplative walks, along with several benches where you can sit in quiet enjoyment, undisturbed by human intrusions. There are several trailheads for the Hills to Sea Trail within a mile of our property. The quintessential New England waterfront town of Belfast on Penobscot Bay, is less than 30 minutes away. One of our favorite spots for quiet hikes along the shore of the bay, is Sears Island. It is one of the largest undeveloped islands on the east coast, that is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The island is 50 minutes away and even on the busiest summer days, its's usually possible to find a quiet spot on the shore to sit and reflect. As we continue to deepen our relationship with this land, we are trying to follow the principles of Deep Ecology in all of our interactions. Our tentsites, while only a 5 minute walk from the road, have been sited to offer as much solitude as possible, with minimal disruption to the surroundings. For 2025 we are opening a new site. Each cabin has two twin beds and includes two Adirondack chairs, a firepit, a small indoor table with two chairs, two LED-powered lanterns, one fan, 5 gallons of potable water, a simple outdoor kitchen table, a picnic table, and access to a propane on-demand shower house. The bathroom facilities include a shared port-o-potty or a compostable toilet—both options are available. These cabins are off the grid, with no power or water inside. We have a clean port-o-potty, serviced once a week, shared between the second cabin and one tent site. Potable water is provided in large jugs on the outdoor kitchen table. Please use eco-friendly soap for all dishes and body washing in the lake or in the field. Pets are welcome on a leash. We also have one dog on the property. Great synchronicity led us to the wild 30 acres of marsh and woodland that is Turtle Marsh. In addition to making a home here, we dedicating the area as a sanctuary for the quiet enjoyment of nature, eco-spiritual practices and healing. We are now recognized by the World Wildlife Fund as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. We have trails on the property that are designed for contemplative walks, along with several benches where you can sit in quiet enjoyment, undisturbed by human intrusions. There are several trailheads for the Hills to Sea Trail within a mile of our property. The quintessential New England waterfront town of Belfast on Penobscot Bay, is less than 30 minutes away. One of our favorite spots for quiet hikes along the shore of the bay, is Sears Island. It is one of the largest undeveloped islands on the east coast, that is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The island is 50 minutes away and even on the busiest summer days, its's usually possible to find a quiet spot on the shore to sit and reflect. As we continue to deepen our relationship with this land, we are trying to follow the principles of Deep Ecology in all of our interactions. Our tentsites, while only a 5 minute walk from the road, have been sited to offer as much solitude as possible, with minimal disruption to the surroundings. For 2025 we are opening a new site. Tiny A-Frame Cabin on a personal wildlife preserve! Located a mile from the Passadumkeag River and three miles from the Penobscot River! Quiet Space! Come enjoy a 'Piece of my Peace!' If you would like a wheel barrow full of firewood provided there is some available on site for a small donation. • There is a hammock with a shade cover at the cabin for you to use. • There is a bug net provided in the cabin if you're in need of some extra protection indoors. • Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is a short drive with a few hiking trails. • Baxter State Park & Acadia National Park are each an hour and a half away (just in opposite directions). • A composting toilet is on site, with a scoop and bucket of sawdust to cover waste. I you need to pee, find a tree! If it's number two, use the loo! • No electricity at the cabin or on the property • No running or potable drinking water. Must bring in water. • The cabin is quite cozy for 1-2 people and/or 1-2 fur babies. The cabin itself has an 8x10’ floor plan with a full size futon. The deck gives another 3’ to enjoy your inside/outside stay. • The property DOES get full sun so be aware of finding shade throughout the day! I like to enjoy the river(s) and explore the area during the peak heat hours! • Mosquitos like to come out at dusk. I do have some citronella candles but it would be best if you came prepared with bug repellent! • There is a New tiny cabin construction on site! • This cabin is NOT private - one dwelling is visible but it is also NOT a rental. When you arrive at the big posts and posted signs keep driving through because you are almost there. Originally settled in the early 1800's with a few house's, barn's and an old one room schoolhouse. A few foundations are still visible along with a couple old dug wells and dumps with old bottles. We now own 365 acres that was named Texas Four Corners (no one knows why) in the middle of 1,600 undeveloped acres with the closest inhabited house from our property is over a half mile away. 15 Mile Stream runs thru the property. 16 miles to Common Ground Fair in Unity. 15 miles to Waterville and 28 miles to Belfast.
