This homestead operates solely on solar power and is completely off-grid, featuring chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys. Guests can savor fresh eggs, as well as vegetables from the greenhouse and garden, which they are welcome to pick themselves. Additionally, there is a natural spring-fed pond spanning 2 acres, where guests can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, rowing, and pedal boating with all equipment, including paddles and life jackets, provided on site.
All sites are within walking distance of a very clean restroom, which is equipped with a flush toilet, a sink with running water, and a solar-powered light that turns on automatically. Additionally, there is an ample supply of toilet tissue and paper towels, and it also smells good too!

Each tent site features a fire pit and a picnic table. Guests can take pleasure in the hiking trails or venture into the woods to discover the natural beauty of this 25-acre homestead.

When this area was originally settled, the farm was located on the "highway" from Camden to seasonal pastures in Lincolnville. The trails leading to the park still go by the old foundations that dotted the old Government Road from Camden. The farm has 46 acres of flowing pasture, hardwood forest and flower and vegetable gardens. At the heart of the property is a large farm pond that has been used to water livestock for generations. Our camp is located on a quaint pristine, offshore Maine island. We are an easy 1 mile walk from the ferry landing once you arrive.
We have a shared use golf cart for our guests to get to and from camp!
Great Cranberry Island is a beautiful peaceful place where the pace of life slows, nature abounds and the stars are bright.
There is a small well stocked general store,, a museum, cafe and miles of pristine trails and rocky beaches to explore. Bicycles can be brought on the passenger ferries and are a great way to get around and further explore the island.
Our camp is on the site of our former organic farm called Cabin Creek Farm overlooking the ocean (a tidal estuary called the pool), where we grew flowers, herbs and veggies.
You can even kayak directly to us at high tide.
The sites are a combo of a mixed manicured deciduous and conifer forest and open spaces with ocean views.

Located about an acre behind our family home (which you can see from the spot), the camp site is within steps of our barn, which has both running water and electrical hookups (20amps) for campers to use. An open field next door plays host to numerous deer and turkeys, and the flower fields feature a rotating lineup of beautiful blooms (depending on the time of the season.)
We are located off a busy street where cars drive a little too fast — if you have a dog that needs to be walked daily, we would recommend stopping by the beach or one of the many nearby walking trails instead of venturing down the road.
Max length of vehicles is 30 feet -- we've found that any longer and the turns are too tight.

Our shared love for Celtic folk culture has blended naturally with our love of sustainable agriculture to create Tir na nOg Farm. Today, the work of restoration continues with the help of farm partners, family, friends, WWOOFers, and other volunteers. Washington may be just visible on a clear day. 75 acres of open fields and woodlands to explore at your leisure.
Among the hidden gems you might find are the original homestead foundation, a vernal brook, a distant field that is totally secluded and an oak tree with a heart! Deer, wild Turkeys, Hawks, Owls and Bald Eagles are frequent visitors. You may even stumble upon wild raspberries and blackberries, if they're in season.
The small town of Union also hosts the Maine Wild Blueberry Festival. The Lobster Festival is nearby in Rockland every August.
No other campers are visible from your site - so you get breathtaking beauty all for yourself - and those with you!

You'll arrive at our barn and home, probably greeted by a variety of animals.
Walking past the house and through the field towards the tree line, you'll arrive at our tiny cabin situated on a hill with the salt marsh below.
The tiny cabin is furnished with a full sized bed, a wooden bench, beehive working woodstove, and shelving. There are candle lanterns provided, however we suggest also bringing a few flashlights.
Depending on the season we have farm vegetables and eggs available, kayaks available upon request to use to explore the salt marsh and harbors right out in front of the cabin.
A short drive and you can find numerous hiking areas and beaches or take the longer 1 hour and 15 min ride to Bar Harbor.
The cabin is not visible to the main house, though sound may travel. You'll have a beautiful view of the water facing west for sunsets. We access the water and trails around the fields foraging for berries with our kiddos and dogs, along with rotating the grazing animals though we will provide ample space to respect your privacy.
A small gas grill and cooler can be provided.
Cabin has no electric or running water. Water can be accessed from the main house and/or barn pumps depending on season, however will need to be brought down to cabin. Outhouse is located nearby.

Jamberry Farm owners Adrienne and James met in 2013 while living in Denver, Colorado. They spent 10 fun-filled and adventurous years traveling throughout the Western U.S. After having their first child in 2019, they moved to Oregon to be part of a team opening an inn on the Oregon Coast.
When COVID-19 began in early 2020, the couple saw the writing on the wall and decided to make their dream of owning property in Maine a reality. In August 2020, they purchased Jamberry Farm and moved to Harrison, Maine.
The 33-acre budding homestead sits atop a hill in Southern Maine’s Lakes and Mountains Region. Harrison is a charming small town situated between Long Lake and Crystal Lake. In town, you’ll find everything you need for a visit to small-town New England. There are two general stores, a restaurant, an ice cream shop, a library, and a post office.
Should you need or want access to more, it’s a short drive to the larger towns of Norway and Bridgton, about an hour to Portland, and approximately 45 minutes to North Conway, New Hampshire, and the White Mountains. A 5- to 20-minute drive will take you to beautiful scenic hikes, cozy lake beaches, and meandering rivers where you can float or fish.

James and Adrienne have always enjoyed hosting friends and family from near and far. Adrienne has a degree in Hospitality Management and spent her career working in the service industry until she stepped away to stay home with her children. James is a carpenter whose craftsmanship shines through in projects all around the property, including their flagship rental accommodation, The Tiny House.
Jamberry Farm is a place where both of their experience and expertise come together to create a unique and personalized experience for their guests. It is their hope that when people come to stay at the farm, they feel safe, connected to the nature around them, and grounded in the peace and stillness that a slower life on a farm has to offer.
They hope guests will come and stay, enjoy the surrounding area and all it has to offer, and leave feeling refreshed and ready to re-enter their lives with a renewed sense of peace.

This small cabin sits on my ten-acre property, nestled in the woods on family-owned land. Guests can use a composting toilet and an on-site bathhouse. One air mattress sleeps two. A wood stove provides heat. Wood may be purchased for the wood stove or fire pit for $7. You may use wood in the cabin if you pay in advance. The cabin has four electrical outlets for inflating the mattress or powering small items, but please do not overload the system.
A fire pit is available when fires are permitted.
The water hose is not available during the cold months, but drinking water is.
The property sits adjacent to our family’s blueberry farm, home to hundreds of high-bush blueberry plants of various varieties. Picking starts in early July and ends in mid-August

We are third generation Randalls to own this 100 acre farm. We love the property and we are creating an event venue space. On the farmhouse side we have an original 1800s barn. We are building a large pavilion for events. Behind this area there is a rolling hill which overlooks Dixmont mountains. Across the road, is a large, flat field with small farm pond with tree swing, rustic arbor and historic farm equipment. We are just a few miles off I-95 both north and south bound. The farm is just a few miles away from Plymouth Pond, Etna Pond and just about 10 miles away from Newport with ATV trails, Sebasticook Lake and main direction to enter the lakes/Appalachian Mountain region. Stay to visit nature or stay for easy access to the Bangor Waterfront, Cross Insurance Center or the Children's Discovery Museum.

I felt like I had entered "The Hundred-Acre Wood" combined with a bit of the 'Shire' expecting to see a hobbit or Pooh around a bend on their trails...
Least to say the bar has been set very high for my future camping expeditions! The views around their pond and property are like a postcard! It is hard to fully describe how comfortable, beautiful, surprising, and welcoming their place is ...truly SERENDIPITY!

The air mattress was very nice for sleeping on and the stove kept the cabin nice and toasty.
We also really appreciated having a clean outhouse right next to the cabin with water to use for hand washing.

Mike and Cheryl’s was such a wonderful place and experience! It is aptly named True Serendipity given its beauty and peacefulness. You can definitely see all the hard work, time, thought and care that went into creating the space from the thoughtfully planned secluded camp sites to the trails throughout the property and more. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I have now camped on the lakefront in my tent and then again using the cabin. You can read my other review about the lakefront, which was fabulous. The cabin was too. Cozy, plenty of things to make one comfortable, another outdoor fire pit there, quiet, private, a great place to be in the woods!

I love this place so much, regardless the season or weather! We always have a great time at Peace of Maine, but the cabin makes so much more comfortable specially in a rainy day, watch the rain fall in the lake, hearing that unique sound, while having a cup of coffee it so peaceful and priceless! The site and property are lovely nice amenities Water and Electric hookup place for the dogs to run and play in a fenced-in area relatively quiet and the hosts are more than friendly
We ended up having a problem with the rig and it turned out to be a tire problem they offered several suggestions as to who to talk to and we managed to find a place that was able to replace the front tires for us

Beautiful private spot with woods. The site is behind the landowners house and nested in between the woods and a garden, so it’s off the road and tucked away. Easy to find and just go to your site. We had a great stay in a smaller camp van with our dog. Would recommend! If you’re looking for a close to the beach private spot. Much better in my opinion then camp ground where your so crowd. Thanks agin!

The campsite was super private and they weren't kidding about the stargazing! It was really nice to arrive at camp that was basically already fully set up for us. They provided more than enough potable water for us and were very friendly but gave us our privacy. We had a great time doing surrounding hikes and going into Cornish for lunch. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Holly’s farm. Camping site was lovely, plenty of room for our two tents, though we spent most of our time sitting by the communal firepit and watching the pigs. Holly was incredibly generous with her time in giving us a tour and a chance to brush the cows. The outhouse was clean. We had a great time and will be back!

Aroostook & the Highlands
Maine’s mountainous north is the stuff that hiker’s bucket lists are made of. The sprawling wilderness of Baxter State Park is the starting point of the epic Appalachian Trail and home to Maine’s highest peak—the 5,267-foot Mount Katahdin. The hills and valleys of western Maine are peppered with high peaks and hundreds of glacial lakes, affording plenty of opportunities for a back-to-nature camping experience. Drive the High Peaks Scenic Byway for some of the most spectacular views, enjoy family camping at Sebago Lake State Park, or check into an RV park near Bethel, Naples, or Lewiston. Southern Maine Coast
When summer temperatures soar, some of the most popular Maine campgrounds and beaches are found along the southwest shore. Head to the beach towns of Kennebunkport, Freeport, and Portland for old-fashioned seaside fun; go boating or kayaking around Casco Bay; then snag an RV site or cabin rental at the oceanfront campground in Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park.
Downeast & Acadia
Maine’s only national park, Acadia National Park, is the headline act of DownEast, the state’s rugged and rocky southeastern coast. Opt to stay on the mainland at Bar Harbor and head over to admire the park’s historic lighthouses and ocean views, or choose from multiple camping areas on the islands. Further north, the 15 coastal parklands of Cobscook Shores have picnic tables, boat launches, and backcountry camping sites.
