This is a working tree farm that dates back to the 60s.

When you arrive at the big posts and posted signs keep driving through because you are almost there. Originally settled in the early 1800's with a few house's, barn's and an old one room schoolhouse. A few foundations are still visible along with a couple old dug wells and dumps with old bottles.
We now own 365 acres that was named Texas Four Corners (no one knows why) in the middle of 1,600 undeveloped acres with the closest inhabited house from our property is over a half mile away. 15 Mile Stream runs thru the property. 16 miles to Common Ground Fair in Unity. 15 miles to Waterville and 28 miles to Belfast.

Site was clean, roomy, quiet, and very private. There were ample trees around but a clear view of the sky for Starlink. Jane communicated with us in advance and made sure that we had clear directions to the site. We were visiting friends in Castine and this was a perfect home base for our visit.

my husband and i camped at the christmas tree farm for 2 nights while going to the common ground fair. it was convenient to be so close, and we had a lot of privacy and space. we enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner on our little stove top at the picnic table on top of this hill with a beautiful view of the fields and mountains. the sunrises and sunsets were absolutely divine and we slept under a bright blanket of stars! jesse was incredibly accommodating and helpful, while also giving us space to relax and enjoy our stay. our only challenge was finding a flat place to camp, but by the second night we found a spot that suited us well. i'd recommend arriving before nightfall to pick out an ideal flat camping spot if you're tent camping. cheers!

We really enjoyed our stay! Catherine was very kind and communicative, she even was very accommodating to work around our odd schedule due to a remote meeting. The site is a great quiet little glade, with amazing views of the stars! We had spotty cell service but we were able utilize the public library and other facilities in the cute little town of Blue Hill. Great stay!

We stayed in site 1 and we loved the privacy of our site. It was spacious and had both sunny and shady areas. I was able to put my solar panels out to charge the battery and they got full sun. I also left them out for two days without worrying about them getting stolen or something. Jane was responsive, communicated with us as needed and met us on our arrival. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend Jane's place.

Loved loved loved this spot! Site was very private and secluded and the area of Blue Hill was so lovely. We traveled with dogs and they were able to run around without us worrying about their safety. We are relatively new to hip camping but this was by far a favorite spot for us. Catherine was an excellent host with her communication and hospitality. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here - and this spot makes me want to come back!

So much to do in Blue Hill, Maine. The water is close by, the people are wonderfully Down East and there are several good restaurants in the Blue Hill area. Great location for day trips to Acadia, Brookline, Castine, and Kniesel Hall. Catherine is responsive and easy to communicate with, the site is clean and they offered water and some power though I was self contained so I didn’t need it. I look forward to staying there again soon.

Catherine had warned me that this sight isn't for everyone, but it was perfect for me. There are no hookups, but she was very helpful in doing whatever she could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I purchased two bundles of wood ahead of my arrival, as I was staying for a week. She delivered a fire pit and the wood on a little John Deer tractor. I cooked and boiled water for coffee on the fire to preserve my batteries. What little power I did use was easily charged visiting surrounding towns.
I would describe the site I used as stopping at an opening, along an old logging road. There was plenty of space to turn around and Catherine gave me my choice to park wherever I wished. I have a class B, so I had many options. The site was very quiet. And if you woke up early, you may be treated to sightings of turkey, deer or porcupine. I saw them all. I did not see any coyotes, but Catherine pointed out that I likely heard them.
The hike up Blue Hill Mountain was nice, though short. Most of my time was spent exploring Acadia National Park and the surrounding areas.
Catherine's place was the perfect hub for me. She often checked in to see how the site was working for me and if there was anything she or her husband could do.

Catherine's cozy spot, nestled in a peaceful forest setting, is conveniently located a short drive from Blue Hill's center of town. With some careful maneuvering, we parked our 22' travel trailer next to Catherine's 5th wheel with a nice view of the woods.
Catherine provided 20amp generator power 4 hours per day to top off our battery and offered to top off our water tank too. We brought our dog along and had numerous hiking trails and waterfront in the vicinity.
While we didn't spend a ton of time hanging out, Catherine's site was a convenient home base for us to explore all that Blue Hill had to offer!

3 nights at Porcupine Creek Rustic Camping
This was one of the best camp sites I’ve ever stayed at. Cathy and Jeff were so kind and greeted us at the site even when traffic made us late for check in. Even though we had campers directly to the left of us, the site was spaced out/secluded enough that you could barely notice. The campsite came equipped with everything you could need, firewood (& starter material), bug zapper racket, lights, covered picnic table, fire pit with a grill, non-potable water, and even shower bags. Speaking of showers, the bathroom facilities were so nice! Our hosts were also always available in case we needed anything. Can’t recommend this place enough! Thanks Jeff and Cathy!

LOVED my time spent here at Sublime! Jane and her husband were super cool! It was absolutely peaceful, clean and private! I drive 5 minutes to Wadsworth Cove Beach in the morning and also for a pretty sunset. The “downtown” is also about five minutes with two shops to get small bites and things. Loved it!! 💕🏕️
