Small Farm located just 3 miles outside of Lagrange, KY and 18 miles outside of Louisville, KY but it feels like you are deep in the countryside. There are tons of things to be excited about here at Starlight....there are horses, and a mini-pig to snuggle with. There are chickens and ducks to watch do .....chicken and duck things. There is a little pond that is stocked full of fish to catch (and then throw back). Rolling hills, with beautiful vistas, or old timey barns and cabins. If you are the adventurous type, you can pitch tent with the horses and let them wander around you all night! This unique 2 acre oasis is the historical quarry; It’s how Quarry Road gets its namesake in southern Indiana! With a 40ft. rock wall that horseshoes around the entire property, experience privacy and serenity. LLC Ranch is situated directly above the underground railroad, the Duncan Tunnel. ** please note we have a few site options for camping which we are happy to tell you more about! Large RVs and campers are welcome but will likely want to stay in the area before our bridge (we are happy to send pictures). Long campers and RVs that are low to the ground may scrape / bottom out going across the bridge.
WARNING: The driveway leading to the campsite is a long, steep, gravel driveway with a concrete bridge at the bottom. The bridge also has fairly steep embankments on both sides (entering and exiting) with a turn heading into the site. A 4WD vehicle will be necessary for anyone pulling an RV as we have had at least one guest get stuck halfway up the hill when exiting with a two-wheeled truck with a V8 engine pulling a small RV.
In addition, you will likely need a brake-control system installed for coming down the hill. Front-wheel drive vehicles with high clearance should be satisfactory to cross the bridge and exit the steep hill as long as you are not pulling an RV.

I live on 5.5 acres. It's peaceful and quiet and I love it here. I've stayed at other hip camps and simply decided that I would love to share my little slice of heaven with others passing through my area. Notes: there is a wee bit of road noise, I live on a dead end road, there are 10 acres between my 5 acres and the Blue Grass Parkway. I find it peaceful here and can easily ignore it but I'm mentioning it so your not surprised by it ;) The Neighbors dog may come visit while you are here but is very nice and leaves if you tell him to :)
You are welcome to hang a hammock in a small section of woods, by a small pond, or even on my covered porch.
You are welcome to pitch a tent anywhere you like.
You are welcome to park an RV or vehicle in the drive. The drive is about 250ft long, you would need to back in in order to hook up to the 50 amp plug.

Using GPS Directions i would suggest avoiding Tunnel Mill Rd and Murphy Lane if towing a camper or driving an RV.

We had a great time at Kerry’s!! He was a very welcoming host. His land is beautiful and well taken care of. Our kids loved playing on the tire swing, hanging out with the dogs, climbing in the tree web, and exploring. It was great to have the little cozy cabin with a comfy mattress and shelter for when it rained. We slept great in there!

Second time at Wildcat Creek Farm, just as amazing as I remember. Such a cool experience camping among the farm animals who are all curious and sweet. Kentucky River is at your fingertips, I opted for a plunge and it was really nice. If you’re able, definitely spend a few hours hiking the creek, plenty of moss, ferns, and little falls. Look for the witches hut! The hosts are very kind and hospitable, they came to check on us before we left for the day. Will definitely be back!

This is our favorite place to get out of Louisville and into nature because it’s relaxed, the sites are well-spaced, and we’ve never had a problem with other campers here. Just know that some sites are primitive and prepare accordingly.

We loved the cabin at nightfall. It was perfect for the two of us. The outdoor kitchen made it so easy to cook and cleanup. Liz was so friendly and welcoming. Loved going on little walks around the property. Croft, the kitty, was an added bonus. The cabin was so comfy and made us feel like we were in the middle of the woods.

Great location to Louisville. Quiet and tranquil. The earlier recommendation to have enough blocks to level is spot on even with auto leveling. Very hospitable owner who provides wood and a dumpster. Would happily go back.

Loved being close to work in Louisville for a quick commute but being able to enjoy the calmness at our site at night. Our kids and dog loved the campsite and the porta potty was an added plus.

I had the best time spending the weekend here. I went for a solo birthday getaway and it was exactly what I had hoped for. I felt safe as a solo woman traveler with the location of the cabin. Tucked away and private, while this being close enough if something were to happen. Croft the cat was the best surprise and entertainment as he hunted through the woods around the cabin. So fun! We stayed the weekend here and didn’t leave after arriving. There’s a ton to do, hiking, an awesome creek, games, bon fire, TV, and a cute “panty” in the barn with glamping goods. The cabin also had a well equip kitchen with a mini fridge. Not to mention the sweet bucket shower with HOT water! Such a game changer. The hosts were so nice and helpful too!

The campsite was clean, grass was short, and there were a sink and outhouse closeby, though I didn't use them in order to rate them. We came in sort of late, left sort of early, and had a good experience. Nobody bothered us, and even though we could see a house nearby, we didn't hear anything but nature around us the entire night. We were contacted maybe 10 minutes after booking with the proper directions and had no trouble finding ourselves all the way to our site.
