HomeGrown HideAways is a farm, lodging, and event facility nestled in a hundred-acre holler in the Appalachian foothills near Berea, Ky. Our lodging features treehouses, yurts, a bunkhouse, retro camper, water/electric hook-ups, and campsites. We also host weddings, retreats, and other events so advance reservations are required.
For insurance purposes and the safety of our own livestock and pets, we do not allow guests to bring their pets/ESAs onto the property. Prepare to UNPLUG as we do not have cell service or wifi (there IS a landline for guests to make phone calls located in the Community Farmhouse).
All guests from tent to treehouse have access to our solar-powered Community Farmhouse featuring a fully-stocked chef-inspired kitchen, restrooms, coin-op laundry, and upstairs multi-purpose room with a library and board games. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with additional cooking space including a grill, microwave, and sink (sink is closed in the winter so the pipes don’t freeze). Next to the Farmhouse is a massive pavilion with picnic tables for al fresco dining and firewood bundles to purchase. BRING CASH!
Our seasonal bath house is generally open from April or May to October or November based on the prevailing temps. There are 4 flush toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 hot showers. The floors are concrete so we recommend shower shoes and you'll want to bring your own towels and shampoo/soap.
The farm has a small playground, yard games, creeks, and a steep and rugged hiking trail that loops the mountain. We're also just 8 miles from the hiking trails at the Berea College Pinnacles, 8 miles to Owsley Fork Reservoir, 20 minutes to Anglin Falls, 12 miles to Berea, 35 minutes to Richmond, Ky, and a scenic hour to Red River Gorge.

Enjoy stunning river views, a beautiful willow tree perfect for sunset watching, two fire pits, and a spacious grassy field open for tents of any size. Stairs lead to the river, where you can launch kayaks and paddleboards from our old dock — or take the adventurous route and jump right in!
Important safety note: The dock is old and broken (as shown in the pictures). It gets the job done, but it can be very slippery, so extreme caution is needed if you intend to use it. Monkey Monkey Holler is a work in progress, and we will eventually replace the dock with a new one.
Have two cars? Drive one up to Kelly’s Landing, launch your kayak or paddleboard, and float the river all the way back to Monkey Monkey Holler, passing beautiful waterfall outcroppings along the way.
Guests can also enjoy our outdoor kitchen and whimsical Paradise Patio (shared with the homeowners), complete with an outdoor clawfoot tub and fairy lights.
We love meeting new people and hope this feels like a home away from home for our guests. We’d love for you to feel free to join us around the fire in the evenings (when available) — we truly enjoy getting to know our guests, sharing stories, and making everyone feel right at home.

Red River Rewind is a small glamping community that is themed off of the owner’s passion for different genre music, vintage, antique history and memorabilia. Currently still a work in progress, we offer a customized bell tent which sits on a 20 x 30 platform deck, with a customized, insulated, fully functioning outhouse which has a shower, commode, and sink that allows endless hot water. “Elvira” is our cozy small cabin. Both have electricity, and water, and full bathroom accessibility at their own site. “Hey Jude” also offers a small wood burning stove to accommodate for cooler temperatures with an Eden pure heater, and fans for warmer weather days, and mobile AC. ELVIRA has a window AC unit and heating with small unit. The customized fully furnished bathroom just steps away from the tent, offers endless hot water. There is also a water spicket just a few steps away from the deck. Note that should the wood stove want to be used, guests need to supply their own SMALL pieces of wood as it is a miniature fireplace. The cabin will be designed with a mini split heating and air system, in the future. WiFi is not currently available though an amenity that is upcoming in the very near future, fiber internet being installed mid July 2025. Cell phone access is good in our area typically. Red River Rewind has common shared amenities to include: a 3/4 acre fully stocked pond which is available for simply viewing its beauty as the fountain flows, or catch and release fishing as seasonally available, many family and friend oriented activities to choose from to check out and return such as cornhole, large checkers, and many more. As time and weather permits, we plan to expand with really neat projects and extras in upcoming months, and would love to have visitors passing through our beautiful area who need or want a place to stay or locals who just want a little change of scenery. We are simple, ordinary people who just want to share some of the things we love about life with others. On a clear note, there are beautiful images of the stars here. 🏕 Lower Valley – 3.90 Acres
Our Lower Valley is home to multiple tent sites and a 26-foot camper site, spread across nearly four acres of wooded land. A flowing Lower Valley Creek winds through the property, creating shaded campsites, relaxing views, and the calming sounds of moving water.
🏠 Hillside – Cabin Property Only (1.12 Acres)
The Hillside is reserved exclusively for our creekside cabin (Site 3). The cabin sits directly along the creek that forms the natural bottom property line, offering a private, peaceful stay with water just steps away. A small pond near the base of the hillside adds to the natural setting and wildlife views.

I’m very pleased with my stay at the Hummingbird Hideaway! I mainly needed a bed for my pups and I for the night during a long day of driving on a roadtrip, and it was perfect for us. It’s also right next to a Love’s gas station which was great for fueling up and getting drinking water. The bed was so comfortable (memory foam) and very spacious! The microwave and fridge were a huge bonus. I was provided with an electric furnace which was much needed as it got super chilly in the night. Aizen was very communicative and proactive in reaching out to me when I had a last minute booking. Would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Monkey Monkey Holler
Aizen and everyone made me feel entirely and completely welcome, which allowed me to rest and relax more fully. The communication was outstanding leading up to my trip. The setting is wonderfully peaceful. I stayed in the camper, and was very comfortable :) Though I stayed just one night, I was able to visit with Aizen and family...all beautiful folks who are gifted with a natural ability to connect with people easily.
Also, to enjoy your stay to the max, be sure to take advantage of the deck space and the tub :)

1 night at LockRidge Park
Great little spot. We stayed with 3 kids and 2 adults. The accommodations were awesome, we stayed in the loft but walked around and think the caves look awesome for the next trip. I do wish there was a way to get to the lake, it’s not far but it’s a steep drop. But otherwise everything was magic. Got to meet the owner, she was running around taking care of things and was back early then next morning to open up the little cafe. Props to her keeping that place running, it’s awesome!

I loved the place and the land! It was very well kept and the pond was very healthy. We loved swimming in the pond and watching all the fish swim around from the porch. The house was the perfect distance away from everything to give you the privacy you’d want. Hiking on the property was very nice but I would not recommend trying to swim in the river as it seems dangerous. The house was quaint and cozy I would give cleanliness a 4/5 as we found a few things needed cleaning but overall enjoyed our stay and can see ourselves here again in the future. Our dogs had a great time and Bridgett was very understanding that they were reactive and needed space from other dogs. 10/10 would recommend

Absolutely perfect! Everyone spent the entire 5 days fishing! Kitchen was well equipped. Puppy dog got to run around freely for the first time. Will definitely be back. We drove 4.5 hrs to get there!
