Guest access
The yard has a fence around 3 sides. Do not go beyond the fenced area as farm crops are growing. Owners have a private fenced-in back yard separate from the common areas.
Other things to note:
We do not allow pets, parties, illegal activities, or fireworks.
Please request the use of the Fire Pit as it depends on wind conditions with crops growing in the fields.
We have a charcoal grill available for guest use. You must bring your own charcoal, lighting fluid, and matches. Please let us know if you use the grill so we can clean it out after the charcoal cools.
* For the safety and protection of all our guests, we have completely cleaned and permanently sanitized the entire bungalow with LastGerm 2-Step products. Surrounded by farmland, crops, and farm animals (cattle, horses, donkeys, mules) in neighboring fields. You may see deer, and wild turkeys, hear a coyote, spot a bear or bobcat.
We do not have any pets. Occasionally, a neighboring cat or dog may wander by. We are not responsible for the actions of any animals that may wander onto the property.
Guest access
The yard has a fence around 3 sides. Do not go beyond the fenced area as farm crops are growing. Owners have a private fenced-in back yard separate from the common areas.
Other things to note:
We do not allow pets, parties, illegal activities, or fireworks.
Please request the use of the Fire Pit as it depends on wind conditions with crops growing in the fields.
We have a charcoal grill available for guest use. You must bring your own charcoal, lighting fluid, and matches. Please let us know if you use the grill so we can clean it out after the charcoal cools.
* For the safety and protection of all our guests, we have completely cleaned and permanently sanitized the entire bungalow with LastGerm 2-Step products. I cat say enough about how awesome this place was and what an incredible value for the price! Chuck and Van were gracious and kind hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them while we were there too! The photos don’t do this place justice. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bathroooms were immaculate. Our kids loved fishing, playing with the dogs and exploring. Also Jeffrey’s cliff hike is a MUST!

This is a wonderful little spot to stay. I was here for 2 nights but it would work very as a long term stay. The trailer is set up expectionally well. It is easy to access and incredibly comfortable. Sitting on the deck you feel as if you are out in a swett valley but you are only 15 minutes from some great restaurants, hiking trails and parks. 25 minutes gets you to just about any place else in Louisville. I recommend the outdoor shower under the banana trees. Shelby does a wonderful job as a host and is very accommodating. I will definitely be back here.

This little place was the greatest. Was the perfect size and atmosphere was wonderful. They had nice setup to be able to have a campfire or even grill outside. Cute little pond as well. The bed was so comfortable. Was just perfect for 2. If we ever got back to Louisville we would love to try and rent this place again. Thanks for a great weekend.

The stay was really nice! We enjoyed the fire in the evening and went in to the tent as the night went on. After it got cold enough, we used the gas heater and it was more than enough to keep us warm.
The potable water is limited, so if you need lots (cooking, cleaning) be sure to bring it in.
It was extremely private and lovely, but it looks like there may be a new cabin being built at the top of a very nearby hill which would make the place much less private. We prefer solo private spots, so we might need to check on this for future stays.

Weekend Trip to Barren River Magic
The peace pipe is a campers refuge! I loved the lower level sitting area, brought along flowers and a tablecloth and it made for a beautiful meditation/yoga sanctuary. The upstairs sleeping loft was a reprieve from the heat and had the best views of the land! Mostly, we spent our free time star gazing and strolling the river. It was an amazing getaway and we can't wait to come back!
