We recently moved from the next county over and are enjoying making this place ours and improvements for guests. Property is 15 minutes south of Cincinnati, close to the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG), close to restaurants and attractions such as Kings Island (approximately 1 hour), Creation Museum (approximately 25 minutes) and The Ark (approximately 25 minutes). Also nearby are several state parks and local favorites such as Big Bone State park, Rabbit Hash,and Riverbend. We have 2 dogs who walk with us on leash and recently added chickens and goats! Elmer and Clyde do like to wander and explore. They are very friendly. Learn more about this land: Gravel driveway leads up to both spots. We do try to keep it maintained, but frequently rain causes ruts faster than we can fill. It should not impede drivability, but use caution and feel free to ask if you have any concerns. #1 improvement planned is paving driveway. You may also experience some vehicle noise from roadway. Typically, as we are on a back road, it is fairly quiet but some drivers may be louder than others and some evenings see more traffic. Level gravel area for RV parking, second plateau available for multiple tent sites. Campfires in designated area. Deer, wild turkeys, opossums and raccoons are plentiful and often wander through. Less common are foxes and bald eagles that make their home at Doe Run Lake nearby. Main home on property but only close enough for assistance, not interference. Weekend Trip to Stargazer Glamping Campsite

Pretty easy to find. Not on a main road. Not too far from it. Locked gated entry. Surrounded by trees and a creek. Beautiful property. Lots of wildflowers. I took a nap in the hammock when I arrived and unpacked. More than one seating area. Big fire pit. Huge, Beautifully decorated tent. Pretty much everything you would need. Eating and cooking utensils. Towels. I didnt get to use the pretty outdoor shower it was just too cold. Got down to 48. Site says heated but they didnt have a stove set up yet. Other than hearing the family playing across the creek there are no cons. I had a nice peaceful evening. I very much enjoyed my quiet time here at stargazer. Thank you 😊

Weekend Trip to Three Springs Campground RV Park

Super easy for a late night check in and early morning check out! Stopped through on my drive to Michigan and had a great, short stay. Bathrooms, parking and office were a short walk from Paige’s cabin which I was thankful for in the dark. Overall felt safe and quiet! Cabin also had AC which was a bonus!

We had such an amazing experience staying in the treehouse. The children loved the slide on the balcony and the giant net hammock. The treehouse is well-equipped with electrical lights, fans, outlets, a space heater, and an A/C window unit. There are several miles of hiking trails to explore on the property, and we enjoyed crossing the net bridge and seeing the ruins of the 19th-century settler's cabin. Everything looked just like the pictures, and my kids were so sad to leave--they said they want to live there forever!

I loved camping at the cabin. It had a nice theme and the beds were comfortable. The trails around are pretty nice too and it's located near the Creation Museum. I would probably put the A/C unit at the top of the ladder since it was too hot to sleep up there at night.

The cabin itself was well situated on beautiful land with tons to do with outdoor activities. The beds are comfy and the whole cabin shows the love the Handys have had for their property. Weekend Trip to Whimsical Treehouses and Trails!!

Perfect place for kids (5 and 4). They loved the treehouse. I appreciated all the whimsical things on the property: we hiked the hobbit trail, played in camp creek for hours, crossed it on the rope bridge, swung on all sorts of swings, brushed wind chimes, and knocked out most of the scavenger hunt.

Our host, Josh Handy, was terrific. The location is a renovated pop up camper which he fashioned with wood from his grandfather’s 200 year old barn when it was torn down. It has an open barn about 30 yards away with very nice restroom facilities, H/C shower and an outdoor kitchen. The land itself comprises part of a farm with both open meadow and wooded trails. Perfect for travelers and dogs. Highly recommended!

Cute rustic cabin in the woods. A short walk to the parking area we carried our supplies through the stone path. Comfortable beds and AC!! Was great for a family camp out. The maintenance guy made sure we had everything we needed. He delivered firewood and fishing poles to us! Highly recommend!!

Weekend Trip to Three Springs Campground RV Park

We needed a place to stay last minute while attending a music festival in Lexington, but with no hotels available, we decided to camp instead. Stumbling upon Three Springs Campground in Sadieville (which happens to be my daughter's name-it was fate, we had to stay!) It turned out to be an unexpected highlight of our trip. The campground offers primitive tent camping for $50 a night, but for just $10 more, they have rustic cabins that were the perfect blend of comfort and simplicity. The cabin had heat, air conditioning, electricity, a microwave, a Keurig coffee maker, and plates, making it incredibly convenient. There was outside seating and a fire pit. While there was no bathroom inside the cabin, the bathhouse was just 75-100 feet away, and there was Wi-Fi and no TV. After the festival, we built a fire and spent most of the night simply enjoying each other’s company—me, my husband, and our daughter, Sadie. It was the perfect way to wind down, surrounded by nature and the peaceful atmosphere of the campground. Whether you’re looking for secluded, rustic tent camping or a budget-friendly cabin stay, Three Springs Campground is a great option near Lexington. Highly recommend for anyone attending an event nearby or just wanting a tranquil getaway!

A cute, super clean campground. And we loved the shower heads!! Every corner of the cabin, bathrooms and showers were clean of cobwebs! I am glad to see they are investing in fixing some of the campsites. It was very easy to find, just off the highway but far enough back to be super quiet. We will stop again when visiting family in Lexington.

Staying in a tree house has always been a dream of mine, and this one was fabulous. The house was great as was the area surrounding: fire pit, hammock and swing. We spent many hours on the trails and especially enjoyed Jacob's Ladder trail. There was peace of mind knowing the whole property was fenced in. We felt very safe and our dog loved walking the trails off leash with us. Bad weather rolled in our last night, and Shelly was very communicative, making sure we were aware of the watches and warnings, and giving options for where to head if we felt we were in danger.

We had such a relaxing stay at Handyland. The cabin was so cozy and the stars were absolutely stunning at night. We walked the trails and they are beautiful. Don’t miss them. Josh made sure we had everything we needed. Our dog was able to get some exercise and explore. We all left happy campers and would definitely stay again.
