We offer a "Camping Cabin", The "Cozy Camping Cottage" or tent camping in Black Walnut Grove, in an open field, in the woods, or a shady grove. We like to interact with people or you can keep to yourself and have a quiet getaway in the woods. Sorry, but the tree house isn't available to rent since it is my home. I may rent it out in the future. Also in progress is the "Dome"
We are on a solar powered, off the grid 30 acre homestead that has 24 acres of wooded land and 6 acres of groomed land. Come explore our land and relax in the "Tree Web", see the 2 story tree house that I live in, have fun on the tire swing, or just sit and enjoy all that nature has to offer. You can explore our interesting topography that has close to 100 foot of elevation changes, our (mostly) dry creek system that starts with 2 springs that drain into 3 sinkholes or walk 3 miles of trails (if you follow each trail from end to end).
We love groups - Host your event here or have a group gathering with all your friends and family. We have spaces large enough to host hundreds of people.
We welcome pets for camping, but no pets allow in the Camping Cabin. Also be aware that we have 2 friendly dogs on the land that roam freely.

This unique 2 acre oasis is the historical quarry; It’s how Quarry Road gets its namesake in southern Indiana! With a 40ft. rock wall that horseshoes around the entire property, experience privacy and serenity. LLC Ranch is situated directly above the underground railroad, the Duncan Tunnel. You can hear the train several time a day traveling through the valley and directly under the quarry. There is a rock driveway entry all the way to our red barn. Rain or shine, the gravel driveway is a perfect location for a van or RV to park. There is a pond and a john boat you can use. The pond is filled with imported Japanese Koi fish that you can also feed. Fish food is always available in the barn! Check in is easy, you will be provided a gate code to enter the red gates. Your pets are welcome, but keep in mind that this property is patrolled by two large Great Pyrenees dogs, and while they are friendly to people, they are territorial and have been aggressive towards other dogs until they become friends. For the safety of all the dogs, your pets must be contained/on a leash at least until all of the dogs can get to know each other.
We are 5 miles from I-65, and 19 miles north of Louisville, KY.

If your interested in camping there is 20 acres and ample space for you to decide where to put up your tent. We provide a firepit or ring. Wood can be purchased or foraged yourself for your fire.Hoosier National Forest is across street so hiking is unlimited. This is a quiet destination in the woods with abundant wildlife.There is a small farm here where produce and flowers even eggs can be purchased. Chickens,guineas,ducks,turkeyand geese are free range so all about near house.
This is also a cat sanctuary with disabled cats mostly wobbly, you probably won't see any of them as they are afraid of strangers.
Please understand, you will be in the woods. We have coyotes,bobcat,mountain lion,fox,deer,skunk racoons, opossums etc... Keep food contained and be aware of surroundings!
We now have kune kune pigs. And recently added 2 mini cows, 1 is an 11 year old rescue and 1 is a heifer calf as well as a standard heifer calf.
I do have 2 honey bee hives on property.

Until 2019, this farm was in the same family since 1889. It has been a working farm since that time. In 2019, our family purchased the farm and continue to operate it much the same way. Our family is devoted to history and preserving the essence of the past. You may very well see us pull up in one of our antique cars to greet you! Our neighbors are friendly and many are also small farmers. You can't see their farms from camp, but don't be surprised to hear roosters crowing, cattle mooing, and donkeys braying in the distance. Our cabins have AC/Heat. A dry sink are in each cabin are provided. Roast hotdogs over your private fire pit as
a fire pit is just outside the cabin along with private picnic table. We have a shower bathroom house. You provide your own towel, and soap products.
Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash and under your control at all times. Privy's are found just outside the cabin.
We have miles of hiking trails and several spring fed creeks so take your hiking boots off and wade in the clean cool water.

Create your own family tradition in this campsite that is ready for two campers on a total of 160ft gravel space. There is both 30 and 50 AMP electric, however no water or sewer hookup. You must provide your own water. There is a dump station 5 miles from the campsite at Tipsaw Recreation Area.

This was a great spot to spend the night! Beautiful views, comfy cabin, spotless outhouse. I didn't try the showers, but it was great they provide them. I'd stay again if I were in the area. The cabins are separate from one another and very private, so you have your own secluded hangout.

We had a great time at Kerry’s!! He was a very welcoming host. His land is beautiful and well taken care of. Our kids loved playing on the tire swing, hanging out with the dogs, climbing in the tree web, and exploring. It was great to have the little cozy cabin with a comfy mattress and shelter for when it rained. We slept great in there!

We loved the cabin at nightfall. It was perfect for the two of us. The outdoor kitchen made it so easy to cook and cleanup. Liz was so friendly and welcoming. Loved going on little walks around the property. Croft, the kitty, was an added bonus. The cabin was so comfy and made us feel like we were in the middle of the woods.

Great location to Louisville. Quiet and tranquil. The earlier recommendation to have enough blocks to level is spot on even with auto leveling. Very hospitable owner who provides wood and a dumpster. Would happily go back.

We loved tent camping here! We spent the days exploring Bernheim forest and relaxing at the campsite at night. Loved being close to work in Louisville for a quick commute but being able to enjoy the calmness at our site at night. Our kids and dog loved the campsite and the porta potty was an added plus.

The cabin was cozy and the trails were very nice to hike. My favorite part was being greeted by a pack of alpacas whenever we walked by. All of the land around the cabins was beautiful to explore and it was a quick drive to Spring Mill State Park for some more exploration and trails.

Weekend Trip to Nightfall Farm
I had the best time spending the weekend here. I went for a solo birthday getaway and it was exactly what I had hoped for. I felt safe as a solo woman traveler with the location of the cabin. Tucked away and private, while this being close enough if something were to happen. Croft the cat was the best surprise and entertainment as he hunted through the woods around the cabin. Would be thrilled to back again

The campsite was clean, grass was short, and there were a sink and outhouse closeby, though I didn't use them in order to rate them. We came in sort of late, left sort of early, and had a good experience. Nobody bothered us, and even though we could see a house nearby, we didn't hear anything but nature around us the entire night. We were contacted maybe 10 minutes after booking with the proper directions and had no trouble finding ourselves all the way to our site.

We stopped here for our first night of our road trip, it was nice! No frills, just a nice basic spot to spend the night. There was a very large area to set up our tent, and it had a fire pit which is always nice. It was very quiet except for a train that goes by sometimes but we had earplugs so it didn’t bother us. I’d totally stay here again if I’m in the area! Love from Chicago! <3
