Blue Horse is a hidden gem! Quiet, relaxing, and unfussy while still having everything you need for a wonderful camping experience! Firepit, grill, outhouse, tent platform, covered cooking area, and there’s even kayaks and a canoe, with paddles and life-jackets provided. The stretch of the Little Blue River that the camp is on is calm and easy and a small dock allows for boat put-in. Lots of hiking and outdoor options abound nearby. Perfect choice in the i64 corridor/Hoosier National Forest area. Angie and Paige are fantastic hosts, you can’t go wrong!

Perfect Little Spot
This truly is a Perfect Little Spot. The hosts are wonderful and take thoughtful care with the place and the details. Favorite highlights are: the comfy chairs with cushions by the large stone wall fire pit, The composting outhouse is clean, cute and comfortable. The open grassy areas are super soft with the ground underneath, great for walking barefoot and feeling the goodness of the earth beneath your feet, also nice for the level areas for tent camping on the ground. The covered porch for hanging out is lovely, A great place to journal or read when the sun is high. I felt totally tucked away and private. Angie and Paige have made this a very special place.

Paige and Angie were both very accommodating and flexible to work with when our schedule didn’t turn out exactly as planned. Their campsite was beautiful, and well maintained; with plenty of safe hiking trails, and even a river bank to fish or launch boats from. Would totally recommend this site to anyone who loves camping out in the woods.

My partner and I really enjoyed this little pocket of heaven. The property is well kept and if you enjoy rugged camping you will surely enjoy it here! The cabin and kitchen area is so lovely. There is a fridge and air conditioning for if you really need to cool off. The property has two perfect places to set up camp and a couple of wonderful trails that lead off of the camp itself. The neighbor off of the property has a cute dog and chickens where you can buy fresh eggs! It is so peaceful and calm at night all you can hear is the animals, the leave,the crickets,and that really loud toad but don't pay no mind to him.overall we really enjoyed are staying and we will be camping here again and did I mention this was are first time camping.

It was as perfect as a spot as it could’ve possibly been. When it rained we went to hang out at the little bar/ cabin area and it was lovely. We were the only campers in the area, getting on the little blue river was absolutely worth it and there’s beautiful trails nearby. We struck gold and will be going back sometime

What a lovely slice of heaven - truly a serene area to reconnect with nature and friends. Little and large thoughtful touches throughout the property, it's obvious the hosts have put a lot of love and energy into this space. The water was too high/swift to enjoy this trip but we will be back to enjoy that part for sure and make use of their watercraft.
We visited nearby Leavenworth which was a treat, and had the most incredible experience at Hemlock Cliffs - the water was really moving and we had never seen such prolific spring wildflowers - an absolutely magical place!
We found a place to hang our hammocks and enjoyed an evening of smores and campfire and were sad to leave the next day...
We WILL be back!

Perfect Little Spot
My partner and I had such a great time camping here! There were plenty of amenities and we especially enjoyed having river access. It was a quiet spot and had plenty of space for us to roam around in. We also enjoyed going to the Hemlock Cliffs trail nearby.

This absolutely is the perfect spot. I needed a safe place to sleep while I drive cross country. Angie met me at the got and showed me around. I was in love! The fire pit was already set up for me to use. There is a cute porch you can hang out on which also has a ton of supplies. The pit toilet was fantastic. It was so clean and there was no smell at all. I had no problem at all using it!
I set up my tent and slept so peacefully listening to all the wildlife. I would definitely recommend this place! I wish I had stayed here atleast 2 nights.

Paige and Angie were excellent hosts! They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our boys enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and sitting around the campfire. The outhouse and covered porch were nice amenities to have.

This was such a wonderful spot!
Angie met us at the gate to show us around, then we were on our own to enjoy the space.
Exceeded expectations and included so many thoughtful details for a restful stay.
Impromptu wiffle ball, relaxing on the deck in the Adirondack chairs, campfire wind down and put to sleep by the sounds of the woods…after the craziest owl calls I’ve ever heard, hahah!
Would definitely stay here again with any/all of our family.

Would absolutely go back! It is easy to get to and the Hoosier national Forest is just beautiful. The area where you stay is at least a few acres and It is nice and open. The outhouse was nice and clean. There were some neighbors, but we felt like we definitely had plenty of privacy. There is nice access to the river and we rented their kayaks/canoe/paddle board, which was wonderful! We spent the day swimming, paddling & walking the shallow areas of the river. They were super nice & accommodating! It was a great family weekend & we hope to go back!

We absolutely loved our time here! Paige and Angie are wonderful hosts. It rained much of the time we were here, so the porch was lovely for hanging out and playing card games and reading when we weren’t out hiking. The land had lovely surprises to see as we hiked (like an eastern newt and an eastern box turtle), and lots of healthy native plants. We also enjoyed a trip to the very close Hemlock Cliffs. We always pack a camp toilet and it was a pleasure to have the outhouse to use instead. The neighbors have chickens and the rooster wasn’t always a huge fan of our noises, but the some ear plugs for night would fix that. And the noise during the day was nice. Highly recommend a stay here, and we hope to be back! Thanks.

It was easy to find and beautiful. Angie welcomed us and gave us a tour when we arrived. Kayaking was super fun and outdoor lighting was helpful. They also set out firewood for us which was very kind. Thanks Angie and Paige!

This little camp is really delightful. Really stunning land, lovingly maintained with care and respect.
The hosts are great, supplying extra water, fire starting supplies, and a sweet covered porch, perfect for sittin. We will absolutely be back!

Perfect Little Spot
This was a great place, it was even better than expected. We went down there to have a weekend fishing trip. It is located halfway between the Ohio River and Patoka, a little over 20 minutes from each. There is also fish in the river at the campsite.

Perfect Little Spot
This was my second time staying on Paige and Angie's Perfect Little Spot, and will not be my last. The property is well maintained, but without losing the sense of being immersed in nature. Bounded by the river on one side and opening to the Hoosier National Forest to the back, there is plenty of outside-minded people to do - kayaking, fishing, swimming, or just unplugging. The property has an outhouse and covered porch with electric for use. Importantly, the hosts have always been easily reachable with any questions and concerns.
Can't wait to return!

Perfect Little Spot
My brother , my four kids, and I loved camping at the Little Blue Horse Camp. Paige and Angie have done a wonderful job creating a stretch of serenity along the Little Blue River. Our hosts were great about communicating with us in advance and answering any questions we had. The property was well maintained and had just enough amenities before crossing over to glamping: the covered porch was an excellent place to read or play charades, the outhouse provided a touch of at-home comfort, and the hammock and "spiderweb" kept the kids entertained when we weren't exploring. Having direct access to the river and a trail into the National Forest allowed for adventures to suit everyone's fancy. This property will definitely stay on our shortlist for future trips.

Paige and Angie’s place is beautiful! Great spot for camping and river access! They had lots of great amenities and an awesome fire pit. They were amazing hosts and we appreciated the tour of the location when we arrived. Will definitely visit again!

We have visited this land many times. The water is wonderful. I love swimming just off the shore and my husband likes to take the boats out down the river.
Beautiful rustic glamping with nice artistic touches. Very close to hemlock cliffs and Patoka Lake.
We will keep going back.
