Like a postcard photograph, Bigfoot Campout sits perched over Mirror Lake on one end of a mountain bowl. Campers will have gorgeous views and sunsets over the lake. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, hiking and wildlife watching abound. The campsite is off-the-beaten path so you'll be away from the crowds, yet the site is still close to other area attractions like Lake Pend Oreille (10 min. drive), charming downtown Sandpoint (15 min. drive) and Silverwood Theme Park (30 min. drive).
The beauty and allure of Mirror Lake led to it being featured in two Hollywood movies -- Dante's Peak (1997) and Mel (1998). The lake itself is excellent for fishing, and stocked with Kokanee, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. The stocking is typically scheduled for the first week of June each year, so if you are an angler, it's best to come after June 7th for the best fishing.
Paying homage to the Bigfoot legend in northern Idaho, the theme of this campground is all things Sasquatch! Can you find all 9 Sasquatch hiding throughout the campground?
Swimming in nearby Talache Landing (a.k.a. Talache Beach) on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille is an absolute must-do. The views are absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear -- and quite refreshing on a hot day.
Fishing is best done in a canoe or small boat which can be put in at our campground dock (free) or at the nearby public boat ramp ($5 fee).
When selecting your campsite, please take note of the following:

There are mountains, wetlands, meadows and forest land right in our back yard where we often see wildlife that call our area home. Elk, deer, turkeys, geese, ducks. rabbits, squirrels and the occasional cougar or bear. At any time, one critter or another will stroll through and check out our guests. We don't have a view of the river but it's nearby and our meadows and mountains offer a peaceful scene all its own. Camp surrounded by Old Growth Cedars and towering Grand Fir, stargaze by night, enjoy a campfire, smores and time with your family, Our peace includes little to no cellular service and don't offer internet or satellite tv. Feels like we're in the country but we live on a paved county road and only 4 miles from the city of Priest River.
Bring your boat for a trip on the Pend Oreille River to Lake Pend Oreille. Launching is a short distance away at the Mud Hole, Priest River City Beach or Riley Creek Campground. Try your hand at fishing for bass, kokanee, perch, northern pike, and trout in the river or on the lake. Wake up in a peaceful woodsy setting where elk, deer, the occasional moose and turkeys roam the property and are often seen in the meadow.
Load up your ATV, side by side or motorcycle and head for Priest Lake right from here. It’s a 21 mile (40 minute ride) to Coolin, ID. Enjoy the back county and take some of the IDL roads along the way to explore scenic drainages and in July/August pick some luscious huckleberries (the state fruit of Idaho) for a pancake or milkshake treat. In the fall, a nice central location for hunting camp. Want to go skiing or enjoy the summer lift ride? Head up to Schweitzer Mountain, about an hour drive away (38 miles/65 mins). The city of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille (Idaho's largest lake) are a half hour away (26 miles/33 mins) and Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, ID less than an hour away (36 miles/52 min).

You could say Boise National Forest is in the tri-forest area. It is surrounded on all sides by Payette, Salmon-Challis, and Sawtooth National Forests, it is situated conveniently close to both urban fun in Boise, and limitless wilderness adventures everywhere else. Alpine tundra is dotted with evergreen forest in the green rolling hills here, topped with snow, and anchored by sparkling valley waterways. The Payette River is great for rafting, while Banks Beach and Beehive Bend are just some of the prime access points on the forest’s 250 lakes and reservoirs (Arrowrock Reservoir has surprisingly primo salmon fishing for central Idaho).
Hikers will find 500 trails, including some that lead to 360-panoramic views at fire lookouts. The ambitious should try 10,000-foot high Trinity Mountain, while more liesurely trekkers will get just as good a view at Silver Creek. As if that’s not all enough to keep you busy, there are also endless mountain biking trails, including a scenic route along Shafer Butte. You’ll have your hands full at this intersection of so many great parks!

Near Spokane and the border can get busy on the weekends, but with this much acreage you can always find seclusion here. Salmon-Challis National Forest and Nez-Pearce Clearwater National Forest are its neighbors, while its Victor Peak, Loon Creek, Loon Lake, North Loon Mountain, Bruin Mountain, Bear Pete Mountain, and Boulder Creek could keep you busy for months. Forage for mushrooms or berries, fish in the chinook salmon hatchery at the South Fork of the Salmon River, or snowboard down Brundage Mountain. Hike to the three historic fire lookouts, or check out the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, the second largest wilderness area outside Alaska (don’t worry, plenty before you have visited and returned).

The smaller of the two parks in Caribou-Targhee National Forests, Caribou is a welterweight not to be underestimated. Just south of its older brother, this land spans Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho, and is a crucial spot for supporting caribou populations. None of the animals here are bashful: bison, moose, deer, mountain lions, falcons, elk, and even black bears abound! Beautiful to snap shot from a distance.
Just south of the forest, Bear Lake is a fun spot to take a dip after you hike one of Caribou’s dozens of peaks (Mead Peak and Hawks Peak have gorgeous views, as does Big Elk Mountain at the northern tip of the park). At the south end, you’ll find campgrounds, fast flowing creeks, and the Minnetonka Cave at St. Charles Canyon. This is a site to see, but it stays 40 degrees down there all year so be sure to pack a coat, even if you’re sweating above ground. When you’re done, stop in the charming small town of Montpelier, surrounded by rolling hills and full of retro grocers and kitschy eateries. Yum!

Angell Creek Campground is located in beautiful Island Park Idaho. It has been in our family for over 50 years. We are surrounded by pine trees, and it is a quiet place to escape the noise of the world. It is a place to recharge and enjoy the outdoors. Our campsite is close to West Yellowstone and only 30 mi. from Yellowstone National Park. Island Park has a lot to offer including: boating, waterskiing, fishing, canoeing, swimming, hiking, trail riding and much more. All of these activities are within a few minutes away. We are in close proximity to highway 20 and easy access to services and dining. We have a very large parking area where you can park trailers and vehicles. We have about 3 acres and have 5 RV spots. We have a central sheltered picnic area and a big fire pit on each RV spot. Each pad is rented at $32 a night with provided 50 and 20 amp service with an adapter provided for 30 amp service. No water or sewer is provided. There is a porta potty on location from mid May until end of October. Must pack out all of your trash or be a accessed a cleaning fee per lot. Although wanting to keep this campground in a primitive state, we will be adding a few updates in coming years. Pets allowed on a leash only.

The main property and home are next door, and we are easily reachable if you need anything during your visit.
We offer year round electrical hook-ups, and fresh water in Spring, Summer and Fall (the pipes are winterized from approximately the end of October-March, depending on the snow season). While there is only 1 electrical hook-up, there is space for an additional vehicle, and options for parking locations if electrical is not required. During your stay, keep an eye out for our neighborhood moose family, our year-round bald eagles, and our many deer, quail, and turkey friends.
Winter camping is available, but please note that we can receive large amounts of snow.

Camper trailer-- 16' vintage camper Little Buffy that sleeps 2 and has a mini-kitchenette and guests use the Loo-uvre Restroom/Shower House close by.
New to the Lodge is Adirondack-style "The Bunkie" that sleeps 6 or 7 plus has a desk, microwave and fridge.
All bed and bath linens are provided in all of our rooms. Firepits are a-plenty!
Our Inn also has great tent sites, plus both 30 amp and 50 amp RV/Camper sites with water and electric, a firepit and picnic table each, plus a fee dump station. We are currently planning/building another shower/restroom house and a laundry mat. There is a fee dump station on site.
With over ten acres of property to play at and stroll, your stay will be one of fun, peace and quiet. Our RV & Camp is fun! We have our famous Borrow Barn with loads of complementary activities including a 9 hole disc golf course with maps/disc/scorecards, free pedal boats, Little Free Library #69967, volleyball, tetherball, badminton, board games and more, plus our cruiser bicycles in our Bike Corral are for guests to enjoy on property also. Children must be watched always and very closely-- enjoy being with your children on the property.
A beautiful Restroom and Shower House is fee free.
We are located in the Heise-Kelly Canyon of southeast Idaho with fabulous sunrises and sunsets.
We are very close to hiking, hot springs, rapelling, 200+ miles of ATV and SxS trails, golf, mini-golf, a driving range, skiing, ice cream parlor and two restaurants, and the mighty Snake River corridor right across the road. 90 minutes to the east to Jackson/GTNP/then South Gate in YNP (2 routes-- the mountain pass or the easy Snake River route), and 90 minutes to the north to West Yellowstone/Yellowstone West Gate (2 steep mountain passes). Both routes are beautiful with waterfalls, gorgeous mountain views, and Idaho countryside. We are 20 minutes from Bear World in Rexburg, and less than two hours from Grand Teton Park and Yellowstone National Park regardless of which of the four routes that you take, with each route including a beautiful waterfall. 90 minutes to the east to Jackson/GTNP/then South Gate in YNP (2 routes-- the mountain pass or the easy Snake River route), and 90 minutes to the north to West Yellowstone/Yellowstone West Gate (2 steep mountain passes). Both routes are beautiful with waterfalls, gorgeous mountain views, and Idaho countryside.

Our property is located on 7 forested acres a few miles from Sandpoint. We have a few different houses on the property where parts of my family live. There are 3 rental spots that are all creek side and next to each other. You can wade in the shallow creek, swim in the pond, enjoy a walk up the road or camp area and just enjoy your camp spot surrounded by the forest and creek. There are also many trails and adventures within a 15 min drive of the property. Please note there are no restroom facilities. Campers are required to bring their own toilet setup.
We have a few dogs that live on property and like to come say hi to the campers and play fetch. The dogs are all friendly, but we ask that any guests bringing their own dogs please keep them on a leash as we do not know how they would all interact each other or local wildlife.

Minidoka County Fairgrounds: The fairgrounds are located East of Rupert encompassing an area of approximately sixty-five acres. The grounds includes a rodeo arena, display buildings (antique building, a commercial building, 4-H building), and open air pavilion for livestock shows, family reunions, and other community events. Hidden behind the main grounds is our small and quaint campground in a groomed grassy field. with a spectacular view of Mount Harrison. Our Amps are 30 amp. We suggest you have your own drinking water. There are signs saying nonpotable for your safety. There is not direct access to fairgrounds bathrooms. We are perfect for an RV set up or a tent camper that is a bit more experienced.
The Minidoka County Fair held the first week in August and includes a full week of events including entertainment, open class exhibits, food, rodeo, 4-H and FFA livestock shows. Numerous events are held at the fairgrounds throughout the year including Moto-X races, rodeos, auctions, 4-H events. weddings, horseshows, family reunions, and more. Note-Dates have been blocked for these events. We are fortunate to have this multi-purpose facility for use in our community.

Nice location near a couple lakes. Booked sites E and F with a friend and that was definitely the move as it’s set back some and provided a lot of space. Campsites were nice and clean, and it was cool that there were things your could reserve and check out (games, sleeping pad, etc.)

Beautifully maintained camping spot that gave us the perfect amount of privacy! We rented spots C/D together and was great to have that area to ourselves with our dogs tied up but still having room for them to wonder around without being close to road or anything. Beautiful view of the lake through the trees and had a great time walking around. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Best campground I’ve been to in Idaho!

What a great camping experience with B&B Flower Farm!
I'll start with the hostess - Brandy was very responsive to questions (even the really important one of "is that a moose or elk track in the driveway") and gave very detailed instructions on getting to the camp site.
Wonderful piece of property they are sharing with people. So close to Couer d'Alene and yet you feel like you are back in the woods. Such a refreshing spot compared to a parking lot full of RVs in a campground. Beautiful view into the meadow below and towards the lake. Watched deer most mornings over coffee and in the evening. We were treated to a small heard of elk and beautiful bull in velvet crossing the meadow on our last night there.
Campsite is setup nicely. Nice section of fake grass with 4 chairs and a couple of small tables perfect for morning coffee and evening beverages. Table and four chairs near the back of the site for outside dining. Just a great setup they have.
Side note - I was able to check out the Meadowview site because no one was in it and it is equally well appointed for a great stay.
We have been across the country twice and many smaller side trips staying in many types of accommodations in our 15 years of RVing. This was our first Hipcamp experience and I will say Brandy has set the bar extremely high! I would stay there again without hesitation.

Great spot and immaculately maintained site. We came to relax, hike and check out some spots in Hope and Clark Forge…Tim and Molly enabled our successful break. The sound of the creek running below the site made for a great night sleep! Thank you!

Amazing host and amazing area to hangout at. Bathrooms and shower was perfect. Host showed us around and made us feel super welcomed. Land is gorgeous and view of the valley is great. Must stay place anytime in Idaho

This is a wonderful campsite! Super quiet, private, spacious and has lovely surroundings. This campsite is about a mile from the river, park and restaurants. Steve is a great host and communication was very clear. We hope to stay here again!

Very nice campground with peakaboo view of the lake. Lovely cedar trees all around made for terrific hammocking. Outhouse was very clean and well stocked. Water wasn't turned on so be sure to bring your own. Easy stroll down to the lake where a character by the name of Andy will rent you an electric or row boat to tool around and fish from. Caught a nice ten inch rainbow while watching bald eagles dog fight overhead. Made for a terrific weekend getaway!

It was a bit tricky to find, I would recommend keeping an eye out for the first sign as it was slightly covered up when we visited.
But other than that it is definitely worth a visit.

1 night at The Aspen Grove Inn at Heise Bridge
I stayed in one of the cottages and I really enjoyed it for a relaxing sleep with comfortable beds. It was a good break from car camping. You are pretty far out from restaurant options, etc., so I would just plan to bring what you need for food there. They have prep places and refrigerators, etc.

BEAUTIFUL lush green grass and likely, ALL TO YOURSELF. It’s a secret little hideaway hidden in plain sight. A true gem this place is. Very responsive and gracious host. All the amenities you would never expect in such a delightful hideaway. Your dogs can have room to play fetch while you enjoy the amazing nostalgia of this delightful little Fairgrounds RV park turned AWESOME throwback Hip Camp. ❤️
