Arabia Mountain Farm

9 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents6 acres · Stonecrest, GA
We became the owners of this 6 acres in 2020. We have since started a large garden, have goats and chickens, and have had many projects. We love sharing this beautiful space with others! We are surrounded by the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Reserve, 4000 acres of beauty. There are hiking and biking trails, 2 lakes for fishing, kayaking on the South River, or have a lazy day in the woods. So much to enjoy for outdoor lovers. Being under the canopy of the pine trees really helps keep the site cool during Georgia summers. We have a nice outhouse and outdoor shower with hot water that are available to campers. We do live on the property and the bathroom area is shared with others. Welcome!

We have walking trails down to a creek and bridge with more to come.

Learn more about this land:Space for your RV in a private, residential area.  This parking pad is in the backyard of a home with daily occupancy which will allow for your RV to be watched over.  The access is easy using a (2) point turn to bring it in and a (3) point turn to head back to the street.  The street to the driveway does have a 20 degree slope.  I believe that a 35’ RV could fit but you need to see the space to confirm(see pics). The pad itself is uncovered, on gravel and is approximately 15’ x 40’ (600sf, plenty of space for slides on either side).  When the RV is backed-up toward the back of the home, the driver’s side will be parked along the fence line of a wooded lot(see pic). There are (2) electrical service boxes within 10’ of the back of the RV; (1) 50 amp/240 volt service and (1) 30 amp/120 volt service.  There is a water spigot within 10’(see pic).If you hook-up to water/elec, there will be a $25/night additional cost. Please reply with a description/length/age etc. of your RV/Boat and how often you need access.  Please include your name and phone number and I will call to discuss.(1) line questions without descriptions of the above will not be answered.

Creekside Bliss

5 sites · RVs, Tents10 acres · Morganton, GA
We have a 10 acre homestead and would like to share the beauty of the North Georgia Mountains with fellow campers. Within a couple miles of our property there is mountain biking, hiking, lake access of swimming and boating. Bring your kayak too! We have added a new toilet house! It is located between campsites 3 and 4. Being next to a creek and level land, sometimes campers will need to walk to their tent site if it's rained and you do not have 4WD. Just an fyi that cell service can be a little spotty, sorry about that! We hope you will choose our property and enjoy your stay!

Camping in Lake Sidney Lanier guide

Overview

Set amid the wooded foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just an hour’s drive from Atlanta, Lake Sidney Lanier—or simply, Lake Lanier—is one of Georgia’s largest and most popular lakes. With almost 700 miles of lakeshore, 38,000 acres of glittering blue waters, and dozens of parks, islands, and marinas, this lakeside vacationland affords endless ways to get on the water, from boating and kayaking to water-skiing and some of the state’s best bass fishing. Campers have options, too, with seven state campgrounds, RV parks, and private campgrounds dotted around the lake.

Where to go

North Shore

The wooded north shore of Lake Lanier is dotted with sandy beaches, lakeside parks, and islands. Head to Little Ridge Park to hook a bass in Buford Dam, cruise out to explore Three Sisters Island from Two Mile Creek Park, or cool off with a swim at Mary Alice Beach.

South Shore

The star attraction of Lake Lanier’s south shore is the Lanier Islands resort, home to the Margaritaville aqua park, sandy beaches, and a winter snow activity area. Check into a luxury lodge or villa, stay at the RV resort, or snag a lakeside campsite at Shoal Creek Campground.

Northwest Shore

The northernmost tip of Lake Lanier is the place to escape the crowds. Head to Chattahoochee or Chestatee Golf Clubs to play a game of golf by the lakeside, set out to cruise the lake from one of the marinas, or check into the campgrounds at Toto Creek, Bolding Mill, or Duckett Mill.

Northeast Shore

Lakeside Gainesville is the gateway to the northeastern waterways, which snake north to meet the Chattahoochee River. Hop over to Thompson Bridge Park to picnic by the lakefront or launch your boat, enjoy events like live concerts and Food Truck Fridays (March through October) at Lake Lanier Olympic Park, or explore the hiking trails at Don Carter State Park, which also has RV campsites and cabin rentals.
