We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We have owned this property since 2005. The pond is a favorite place of ours and we would love to share it with you!! We live just up the mountain are here for you via text if you need anything at all during your stay with us. The pond is in the middle of about a 4 acre area that is totally forested & makes a great place to get away from the madness of life & get into nature. Our street ends in a cul-de-sac, minimizing traffic in the area, but the spot is right along a street. You will be able to see & hear cars going by the site. On the other hand, it is also right along a deer path & just this morning I saw 2 does & a baby walking through the site. There is a resident hawk & a gaggle of turkeys that live in the area in addition to pileated woodpeckers & all sorts of other birds. Come check it out and please let us know if you have any questions. Learn more about this land: We would love to have you at the Pond at Dogwood Acres. Our pond is just a little pond, but it is full of life and makes for a cozy little campsite. You will be the only ones camping here. There is a long parking spot suitable for cars/SUVs/trucks and even a trailer or pop up.  There are hiking trails leading into the woods at the right side of the end of the drive. Feel free to enjoy them. We are surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest and here in Towns County we are 80% National Forest. Lake Chatuge is close by (less than 10 minutes) in Hiawassee has 132 miles of shoreline. The Appalachian Trail weaves all through the area and you can get to numerous access points for the AT within about 30 minutes. There are a many waterfalls throughout our area within about a 30 minute drive as well. The closest is Cupid Falls just behind Young Harris College. Fire's Creek in Hayesville is a favorite spot. Otherwise you can head towards Vogel State Park and find many more.  Head north on state road 66 heading out of Young Harris towards Warne, North Carolina. Travel almost 4 miles passing 339 and then make a right on Brasstown Lane. If you see mile marker 4 or get to Warne, you passed it. Once you turn onto Brasstown Lane it will be on the right side. Coming from North Carolina head south on 66 out of Warne and make a left onto Brasstown Lane. We are about 1 mile south of the North Carolina state line. We are somewhat in the middle of Blairsville (GA), Hiawassee (GA) and Hayeville (NC).  Not far from us is the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC and just a bit further is Murphy, NC.  34'58'45.1"N 83'52'49.7"W On a larger scale, we are right in the middle of and about 2 hours from Atlanta, Asheville and Chattanooga. Any questions? Let us know!  Note- this campsite is on a residential street. Our street has a cul-de-sac and does not have much traffic, but there are houses in the vicinity of the campsite.

Nice setting, convenient to nearby hiking, wineries, forest service roads, and plenty more to explore. Very easy in and out for the trailer. Was especially nice to have hookups (to run A/C) in the summer heat/humidity. No issue with the neighborhood dogs mentioned in the description, they were friendly and unobtrusive. I'll be back - but next time in spring or fall when the heat and bugs are down.

Amazing secluded spot. All hookups available. Great scenery from your temporary home. Has a dock to fish from. This was our first trip with the new travel trailer and were able to bring our two dogs with us for their first camping trip. Towed a 2026 wolf pup 16cm (23feet long) with a 2025 Ford Ranger and still had plenty of room. Mike made sure we knew if we need anything to not hesitate to ask. We didn’t need anything but always nice to have excellent hosts. The campsite was clean.

We enjoyed our long weekend and wished it wouldn’t have been so rainy that we could have enjoyed some kayaking. Our plan is to come back again and enjoy another getaway.

View was nice. I fished from the dock. We also had a fire in the fire pit seen other boats bit never seen the hosts. Great private spot. We would book again.

We took our pop up camper for 3 nights and it was very private and relaxing and had all the hook ups we needed! Our dog loved laying on the dock and my wife loved taking the kayaks out on the lake. I of course enjoyed fishing. Caught bass on a black trick worm about 3 foot out from bank. The gravel down to the fire is a little loose and I busted my butt lol so be careful where you step! We did have a truck come through behind us around 7am to go fishing.. which I get since it’s a shared drive so not a big bother. We will definitely go back!

Epic! Best place property we’ve visited. Stayed a week and it seemed like a minute and the week was gone. Michael is the best there is, with some folks you just know. Plenty of dried, cut, stacked, covered wood to burn. All secluded back on your own little peninsula with equipped BBQ and picnic table. And that dude is one cool cat! Met us exactly as we pulled up told us everything we needed to know then disappeared lol it was perfect. We’ll be back. Thank you so much Michael, we appreciate the opportunity to share your beautiful land. See you soon

Wonderful, quiet, peaceful getaway with a fun fishing opportunity. The campsite had great amenities (grill, fire ring, table and chairs, and canoe/kayaks with PFDs), too. We are excited to visit again!
