We’re just 5 miles from downtown Stuart on the Inland waterway that offers a lovely walkable downtown where you will find a theater, unique art studios, interesting and unique craft and clothing shops, and numerous restaurants offering everything from vegan and vegetarian options, to pizza, steak, and local seafood. If you’re looking for fast food franchises in the downtown areas, you’ll need to look elsewhere!
Only 11 miles from Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Daily excursions are available from the launch site to the infamousTrapper Nelson’s hideaway. A must do for adventurous types who appreciate legends and creative off grid living.

This Camp Site is on a 1/2 acre, owner occupied property and located in a beautiful, open, quiet neighborhood setting. It offers a natural walking path (with some exposed tree roots) and several beautiful foot bridges around the lake. Our property has very easy accessibility to all major roads including interstate 95. This camp sites provide a peaceful stay while still being close to all you seek. This location makes for a great stop over or destination spot.
Guests will wake in the morning to the lovely site and peaceful sounds of the mostly year round residents including pileated and red-bellied woodpeckers, vultures, raccoons, egrets, ibis, hawks, quaker parrots, herons, bluejays, grackles, crows, lizards, mourning doves, otters, squirrels, owls, hawks, and occasional sightings of iguanas and turtles. Nights tend to be dark and quiet with minimal traffic noise. We are pet friendly provided your pet is too! Again, this is in a quiet, neighborhood type setting, just a bit off the beaten path.

Only 11 miles from Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Daily excursions are available from the launch site to the infamousTrapper Nelson’s hideaway. A must do for adventurous types who appreciate legends and creative off grid living.

This Camp Site is on a 1/2 acre, owner occupied property and located in a beautiful, open, quiet neighborhood setting. It offers a natural walking path (with some exposed tree roots) and several beautiful foot bridges around the lake. Our property has very easy accessibility to all major roads including interstate 95. This camp sites provide a peaceful stay while still being close to all you seek. This location makes for a great stop over or destination spot.
Guests will wake in the morning to the lovely site and peaceful sounds of the mostly year round residents including pileated and red-bellied woodpeckers, vultures, raccoons, egrets, ibis, hawks, quaker parrots, herons, bluejays, grackles, crows, lizards, mourning doves, otters, squirrels, owls, hawks, and occasional sightings of iguanas and turtles. Loved camping here! We had the mango tree spot and loved how spacious it felt. We brought our 3 dogs and they really enjoyed the gated dog park area, I thought that was a really nice touch for camper with their furry friends! The property is lovely and quaint. My 4 year old enjoyed roaming around playing in dirt and visiting the horses. We liked sitting in our chairs outside and just watching the horses every morning, it was so peaceful. Everything went smoothly and Julia is very helpful and responsive. I would recommend this property!!

Nice semi rural setting in a driveway, away from town. 30 amp electric and water are provided and the property is very pretty. The only issue is that four-wheel trucks and motorcycles really like to rev their engines while riding on this road, especially on the weekends. The Internet, though available is not always reliable, but that is not unusual for a rural setting. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating. It was a nice stay if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of West Palm Beach.

We really enjoyed the weekend on the property. We had one of the biggest part of the camping site. That it was number seven. We managed to have 2 cars. the
Bathroom portable potty was okay. Shower was provided next to the stables.It was an open one.So the first night, it was like super cold.But the water was super hot and it was the best thing. The tiny horses were so cool and cute.We parked got out of the car and they came towards us.It was like super cool. We were under fire ban, but we managed to have a nice weekend.And our host answered us right off regarding if we could have a little small gas stove, perfect. Nice property.I would definitely invite somebody to go there to just shut off from the whole world.

West Palm Beach Surrounds
For a family-friendly beach day near West Palm Beach, check out Municipal Beach or Phipps Ocean Park. The city’s best snorkeling is at Phil Foster Park’s artificial reef in the Intercostal, a site loaded with tropical fish, while manatee lovers should not skip the Manatee Lagoon. Because of its location on Florida’s arterial I-95, West Palm Beach has a variety of RV resorts and RV parks with full hookups and free wifi that can accommodate big rigs and campers.
John D. MacArthur Beach State Park
This beach park in North Palm Beach has 1.6 miles of immaculate beach backed by mangrove forests, hammocks, and the Intercoastal waterway. Loggerhead, leatherback, and green turtles nest on this beach from May to August, and paddlers may spot manatee, dolphins, and water birds in the area. Kayak and SUP rentals are available on-site.
Jonathan Dickinson State Park
One of the most dynamic parks near West Palm Beach is Jonathan Dickinson State Park, home to an extensive network of hiking trails through 16 natural communities and nine miles of dedicated mountain biking trails. You can also paddle on the Loxahatchee River. The park’s two campgrounds have tent sites and RV sites with full hookups, picnic tables, grills, and restrooms.
Lake Okeechobee
Just west of West Palm Beach, the enormous Lake Okeechobee has excellent bass fishing. The 109-mile Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail circles the lake and makes for a scenic hiking and biking route.
When to go
West Palm Beach’s busy camping season is winter, when its mild tropical weather gives visitors a warm reprieve from freezing temperatures in the Northeast. Fall and spring are both pleasant as well, but beware of spring break crowds. Summers in South Florida are hot and humid with heavy rain, making tent camping a struggle. Summer and fall are also hurricane season here, when monitoring weather and storm forecasts is a necessity.
