Guest access Large open deck with ladder access to the floating dock which is perfect for mooring your boat or launching kayaks. Kayaks are available for guest use. Provided are (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest. We offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico trip. This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability. We encourage guest to enjoy the common areas porches at back of main house. We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. Weekend Trip to Friendly's River Retreat RV

This is a great property and opportunity to visit old Florida. It’s a perfect rural setting with little to no ambient noise while also within 30 minutes of all you could need and also a general store within 15. This a place to bring your family. Visit any of the amazing natural springs in the immediate area and don’t forget all desirable state parks along the Suwannee River Valley. Of most importance, Mr Stacey is an excellent host. He’s very flexible and can make just about anything work. He’ll make himself available as much or as little as you might need. He’s very crafty as well. Some of the projects he has going in for upcoming lodging is very impressive. Would like to give a special shout out to the shower house and toilet facilities—makes camping a ton better as my crew gets pretty dirty. We just live a few hours away hoping to return multiple times!! We live the river life!

Weekend Trip to The Outside Inn

What a lovely place to unwind! We stayed two nights and pretty much had the run of the place. We opted for full hook ups as we have been on the road for several days. We loved the proximity to the welcoming pole barn which had a gathering spot, FREE washer and dryer (tips encouraged), grill for use, and bath house with a spacious shower. Our dogs loved being off leash and we enjoyed the trails around the property. Be aware, if you have dogs with high prey drives or poor recall-be wary about being off leash as there are free roaming chickens. We appreciated Andrew's hospitality and he even offered us some free fresh eggs which we graciously accepted. The owner William was not on-site, but was very communicative over the app. Only points to mention-if using the washer, you must set it to cold as it does not have hot water. Many of the presets will automatically choose a higher heat and it will seem like its working but then it will glitch and say "balancing." Just manually change to cold and you are all set! Also, the map indicates two water features, a creek and a spring. These paths were not as clear as we thought they might have been. We only found one of the two, and had to pass under a fallen tree to reach it. Hope that helps any other explorers!

Lots of open space for the kids to play. Nice trails to walk and hike. There were baby chicks and the kids got to hold them and they thought that was the greatest thing. Andrew, the cohost was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was clean. We definitely would go back. Had a great time.

What a beautiful, peaceful welcoming place & Host. We were greated by Sasha, Max a little princess. William came out and chatted with us and showed us all around his beautiful property. Full hookups, a beautiful Bathroom & Shower and washer and dryer area along with table. We had a nice picnic table and a big fire ring which we did use. William has beautiful fruit trees and a garden with chickens.. so cute. The fruit was delicious. We enjoyed cheese & crackers and drinks with William around the campfire and wonderful conversation. Very quiet and the pine trees were so pretty. We wish we could have stayed longer and in the future we will. This was one of our favorite places to stay. A must visit place. :)

This site is very clean & well maintained. Good signage, easy to find, great hookups. Will was very welcoming. We were in a bind because we had generator issues that slowed our trip down & the Hipcamp we had reserved said they would not accept us. Will had no problem with a late check in & had the light on for us upon arrival at 11:30pm! Also great communication with host. Spot was very peaceful & quiet. We were only passing through but definitely a place to come back and just hang out because it's easy to get to & so nice. Will definitely go back! Thanks Will!

Excellent place to spend the night when visiting your kid at FSU. All other options in Tallahassee are ridiculously expensive. I have a campervan, which made it easy to park, plug into electricity (although I did not need it), and get fresh water (I used to make coffee). The host is welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

Her helpful advice on placement of our tent, lending her electric cord when we needed and just being a good hostess and accommodating to any request we had, opened our minds to new foods, simply put we loved it so much! she talked us out of even going to Golden Corral🤪 Totally Worth it and will definitely be coming back! Grateful to of had bug spray but as long as you’ve got the right kind you shouldn’t have too much of a problem with the bugs. Enjoyed the engagement throughout and had fun taking a cool dip in her pool, felt even better with it being no chemicals. We had a blast even with our time was mostly spent literally inside our tent 🏕️. Just close enough to town to give you your own mini adventure to grab a bite to eat. Love what is becoming of her Sanctuary and we’re already excited for her future transformation of this lovely and safe place. The cemetery was even kind enough to just be a loop hole for a bucket list, a quiet next door neighbor not to haunt or bother us at all so bonus for that also 🥳
