Weekend Trip to Find Out Farms

We LOVED this location. Remote and yet close enough to friends that we were able to enjoy a night after our festivities to relax. ****IMPORTANT**** Unless you have stayed here before, I would advise arriving before the sun goes down. With its remote location, and technically “rural Florida”, you want to be sure you don’t find yourself on someone else’s private property. Thankfully, Brian has A-MAZING neighbors who happened to come by just when we were going back to our instructions on how to get to his property. He was so kind and said “follow me” and even proceeded to call Brian for us to let him know we were coming so he could meet us at the sites. We knew we would be coming in late (which we don’t prefer) but we had never been to this part of Florida before to understand its rural location. Rural is what we prefer, hence why I booked it, and we do know what to expect…but thank God for Brian and his neighbor. Brian is living a dream I have for us one day. Waking up to the quiet and trees surrounding us, only able to see what we assume is the helpful neighbor’s adjacent property. We WILL be back. For more than one night next time. The kindness we were shown was amazing and it’s a blessing to know those people still exist in our crazy world. In the morning, seeing the kids have fun outdoors was joyful. Making their own “slip n slide” and enjoying the sunshine and outdoors with each other. Love it! Thank you Brian and family…and neighbor…for a great experience. ❤️

4 nights at Cotee River Bend

We had the most wonderful stay at this private property campsite! We felt completely at home. The campsite itself is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and offers plenty of space and privacy. The bathrooms and showers were very clean seriously some of the cleanest we’ve ever encountered while camping! It’s such a relief to have access to fresh, well-kept facilities after a long day out exploring. The location is also a major highlight. It’s tucked away just enough to feel like a relaxing escape, but still super convenient—close to shops, restaurants, and anything you might need. And best of all, it’s not far from the beaches! We were able to enjoy quiet mornings at camp and then head out for afternoon swims and sunsets by the coast. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better spot to stay. Whether you’re a seasoned camper or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is a total winner. We’ll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Community of Consciousness

Peaceful, beautiful land with all the amenities needed for a back-to-basics time away. There are farms nearby so be prepared for some animal serenades - earplugs recommended for light sleepers. I love this place as well as the people who care for it. A great place to reconnect with nature and friends. Wildlife on property include fox squirrels, foxes, gopher tortoise, Sandhill cranes and all manner of birds. If you camp here, please respect the land and leave no trace of your stay.

This place is amazing, it’s such a hidden gem. I wanted a quiet place to erase my mind since I have been working a lot lately, for three days I could connect my self with nature, have a quality time with my boyfriend with no screens. Just us, god and the little animals in the woods.

Dennis is very kind and did an amazing job building the cabins. The surrounding is so beautiful and quiet. We saw a lot of animals, even a big alligator in the pont near our house! The campfire place was awesome and we saw the most beautiful sunset. Definitely would recommend to spend a night in this wonderful place!

I would definitely use again. I did not meet the owner but the setup is nice. Unfortunately, the summer weather switch turned on so it was very hot so I did not put out awning and enjoy the outside lol. Would be a great place when cooler - lots of space between the 3 sites. If you have children they have some nice play items for the kids to climb on.

This is my 3rd time at this hidden gem of a camp site. The hosts, Laura and JR are incredibly nice and accommodating. Laura communicates quickly and unless you have questions while you're staying, you are left alone in a beautifully peaceful environment. Its Very close to all the big stores and conveniences one might need (2-3 miles) but once you drive on to the property you could be 50 miles from civilization. The property is very well kept! The toilet and shower facility is the best I've found at any campsite, in fact it's better than my home I have to admit. Highly recommend!

5 nights at Cedarkirk Camp & Conf. Center

If you love peace and quiet, Cedarkirk campground is the place. Set back in the forest are 6 sites. Bathrooms and showers are kept very clean. You can take hikes throughout the property and down to the river. As professional photographers the area has a lot to offer. If you mountain bike, Alafia and Balm Boyette are close by.

Weekend Trip to Rasayana Cove

We had a fantastic time staying in Dennis’s “treehouse”. It’s a wonderful, rustic cabin. Very comfortable and clean. The property is beautiful, secluded and well maintained. We saw deer, turkey, gators, and many birds. We loved listening to the owls at night, and were lucky enough to get a late night rainstorm. We will definitely be back!

Third time staying here, and it was perfect yet again! Loved being down by the river. Very peaceful and relaxing! I will definitely be back again!

Great spot. Was a little hard to find at night, but Mike was very helpful. I wish I could have stayed 1 more night, but had work come up.

This place was amazing! Mike stopped by and introduced himself and is very passionate about his farm. He allowed us to choose any site as we were the only campers there! Had the entire area to walk around the lake with the dogs off leash and was able to see some of the exotic fruit trees( they sadly weren’t in season) but was a GREAT stay. The only thing I will say is the pictures are a little outdated. The lake is pretty overgrown and there is a few broken down campers on the property but that did not dock off any points at all! Would stay here again !

Vincent’s is a magical spot to camp! Great location to set up the Rv (or tent), very private, very safe location with nice open areas and beautiful large live oak trees. Close to everything you may need concerning grocery stores, etc., yet at the camp spot you are surrounded by woods and cool wildlife (so many owls, was awesome!). The host was super responsive, gave great directions and was very helpful. I would definitely recommend Vincents place!

What a great quiet place to relax for the weekend plenty of room between the three sites. There was one other camper there that had a generator, and from our campsite, you could barely hear it. So the three sites are set up in such a way that you hardly know anyone else is there we stayed in otter Cove, but next time we will try owl landing.. the host Vincent was very friendly but yet did not bother us all weekend.

Our property is six acres, and the central feature is our natural spring-fed pond with gorgeous waterfront views. The camping designated area is a one-acre pasture across the pond from the farm house we live in. If you like privacy, you will be happy to know that we have very few designated RV and glamping sites. The property sits at the end of a private road in a quiet country-like setting with mature oak trees decorated with Spanish moss. The current inhabitants of our farm include our three mini-cows, Stormy, Lila, and Boots, two donkeys, Pancho, a standard, and Cindy Lou, a mini. Another two friendly faces you will see are Liza and Louise, two Kune-Kune sows. Other animals you will see everywhere are our chickens, ducks, and other wild birds. The chickens and ducks don't have names but are also filled with personality. Our farm is strategically located. We call it 'one-hour and ten-minutes to anything'. Here's why: We are an hour away from Disney World, Downtown Tampa, the downtown St. Petersburg and Clearwater beach. Most of Tampa Bay suburban areas are also under an hour away. We are also a little over an hour away from some of the most breathtaking springs in Florida. Alderman's Ford, a Hillsborough County conservation park with over seven miles of hiking trails, is within walking or biking distance. The park's most famous attraction is a 1.9-mile paved and one of the state's most popular canoe spots. The loop, which is hiker, dog-walker, and bicycle-friendly, links with a boardwalk and footbridges leading into shaded woods of gigantic cypress and oak trees. There is also a designated horse trail. About 10 minutes down the road, the Alafaia River State Park offers some of the most radical elevation changes in the state. This topography is uncommon for most of Florida, making the park a hot spot for mountain bikers, equestrians, and hikers. The hilly trails at Alafaia River total about 20 miles and run through forests, flatwoods, and lakes. Lithia Springs is also a 10 minute drive and is well-known for its natural spring which flows year-round, cool, and clean water. Great for swimming on a hot day. Located near I-75 just 20 miles South of Tampa, 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg, 35 miles North of Sarasota, 2 hours West of Orlando. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

Cotee River Bend

Our RV Campsites are located in a grassy field next to dense woods. Electric and water hookups are included in the RV/Camper sites, but not the Tent Site. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Our newly renovated restrooms on the property have toilets and one shower. A boardwalk takes you along the Cotee River to our open air pavilions with several places to sit and enjoy nature. Cell phone service is not a problem, as we are not that remote (although it sort of feels like we are when you are here) - we are 5 min from downtown New Port Richey, 2 minutes from groceries, gas, restaurants. This beautiful slice of Old Florida is named for the Pithlachascotee River that bends along the back side of the property. Pithlo is the Creek word meaning canoe, and chaskita means to dig or chop out, together signifying "place where canoes are chopped or dug out". Seminoles of this area used canoes dug out from the great cypress trees found along Florida rivers. From the 1980s until 2014, this property was owned by the Cotee River Lions Club. They held a popular monthly pancake breakfast fundraiser in the large pavilion along the river. We purchased this 4.9 acres of land in late 2019. It is now where we live and have a woodworking shop. It has been a magical place for us, with no shortage of wildlife, rich jungle forest, a lazy winding narrow river, and even the occasion river otter sighting. We are grateful to all the humans who have occupied this place over the centuries before us for keeping it as nature intended it. It is our intention to do our part to conserve and protect its natural beauty as long as possible. We hope you find it to be as restful and rejuvenating as we do.

Resting on just 1/10th of an acre, this 1957 mid-century modern home hosts over 80 different species of fruiting tree and shrub. During your stay, we invite you to enjoy an open-air yet tastefully private shower under the bananas, or relax back into the big enough for two garden tub. A large outdoor kitchen area with a gas burner and grill will also be available for your use. An 8' x 7' yoga deck is a great place to stretch out, and doubles as your tent's platform when it's time to set up camp. If you're bringing your own tent (standard), please ensure it will fit on the available deck.
