Our RV Campsites are located in a grassy field next to dense woods. Electric and water hookups are included in the RV/Camper sites, but not the Tent Site. All sites have a picnic table. Cell phone service is not a problem, as we are not that remote (although it sort of feels like we are when you are here) - we are 5 min from downtown New Port Richey, 2 minutes from groceries, gas, restaurants. This beautiful slice of Old Florida is named for the Pithlachascotee River that bends along the back side of the property. Pithlo is the Creek word meaning canoe, and chaskita means to dig or chop out, together signifying "place where canoes are chopped or dug out". Seminoles of this area used canoes dug out from the great cypress trees found along Florida rivers. From the 1980s until 2014, this property was owned by the Cotee River Lions Club. They held a popular monthly pancake breakfast fundraiser in the large pavilion along the river. We purchased this 4.9 acres of land in late 2019. It is now where we live and have a woodworking shop. It has been a magical place for us, with no shortage of wildlife, rich jungle forest, a lazy winding narrow river, and even the occasion river otter sighting. We are grateful to all the humans who have occupied this place over the centuries before us for keeping it as nature intended it. It is our intention to do our part to conserve and protect its natural beauty as long as possible. We hope you find it to be as restful and rejuvenating as we do.

RV Camper Site 1
The property was awesome! We stayed for two nights just to enjoy a weekend away. The site itself was nice, with a picnic table and fire pit. Even though there were other campers set up next to us, we had enough privacy and space! The bathrooms were really clean and close by. The property/land was lovely too - we enjoyed sitting under a nice pavilion set up with string lights and fans and there was a boardwalk and trails near the river! Would highly recommend!

RV Camper Site 1
Family friendly
I loved site 1 on this property. I stayed the holiday weekend and we enjoyed every minute of it.. there was a 30 amp hook up and water. It had no sewer, but that was fine. I also staged my camper facing the woods. It was such a great view. It was such a different feeling than being in a campground with multiple RVs. There were trails that brought you to the end of the river. Beautiful views. There was a little bit of road noise but nothing that bothered me. Add a little music, and you couldn’t even hear it. Site 1 has its own fire pit. We definitely took advantage of that and cooked food over it. I give two thumbs up for this place

Cotee River Bend Corner Tent Site
Not quiet
The tent site is steps to RV site and absolutely no amenities. You have to walk through the two RV sites that do have electricity and water. Why not connect for tent? Anyway it was pretty and communication with owner was good. Interesting little bit of history that goes with it. Not to buggy or secluded. It is noisy being by a main road. So on top of constantly hearing airplanes, which is anywhere near Tampa or Orlando, the noise from cars was not relaxing. I think it's suited for a group camp out because the spaces are super close to each other. Good location to everything. I wouldn't stay there again because it was just to loud for me. I give 3 out of 5 stars. Jmo.

Cotee River Bend Corner Tent Site
The tent spot was great! Hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating. The grounds were kept clean and so were the bathrooms. Also the boardwalk path is very relaxing. 45 minutes from the Capitol Theater, where we were going. Beats an expensive hotel room any day!

Cotee River Bend Corner Tent Site
The campsite was clean, easy to access, and the bathrooms were super nice! The hosts were friendly and helpful! You might need to bring a grate or something to cook over the campfire since it’s just a big circle, but we did that and it was great! The hosts allowed us to fish and sold us firewood as well. The site is not quite as private as shown in the pictures, there was another group maybe 20 feet away from us, but the tent site curved around a bend so you at least have some visual privacy. Definitely don’t forget your rain coverings (it opened up and poured on us in the middle of the night) and be sure to put all food away in the car because there were some raccoon raiders that enjoyed making a mess of our trash! Would definitely camp there again and it was very affordable!
