Just bring your swimming suits you'll be set. Cape San Blas, FL is one of the most beautiful and laid back places you will visit. This property is located on Cape San Blas and is right on the water (gulf side). The cape bike path you can take all the way to the state park and explore the entire cape and all it has to offer (22 mile round trip bike path). Also, check out kayaking in the bay or horse-back riding on the beach! Salinas Park is just a stone's throw where you can enjoy picnics with the family walk out to the bay or even drive onto the beach (permit required). The sleepy little towns of Port St. Joe and Appalachicola have so many great local restaurants and shops and you will love the laid back chill of these old Florida towns. If you've never taken your crew and camped right on the beach, then this is the place for you. Leila’s spot was great. We loved that it was only a block from the beach. The shed storage and laundry machine was helpful- especially because of the humidity and moisture over night. It was hard to get clothing dry without a dryer. (We used a laundromat in town) The black tank hook up was not threaded to secure a connection but it still worked. Red tide was high while we were there. Overall it was a beautiful spot just steps away from a beautiful dog friendly beach. We loved the location and so did our pets. Would recommend!

I loved camping at this location. First, I travel with my dog. So, the fenced in yard on three sides was nice. It was open and spacious. Plenty of space for larger RVs. Mine is a small teardrop and the lot could have held a much larger RV. The hookups were easy to use. and on the right side of the lot. So, you back your RV into the spot. Then, you have lots of space in front of your RV for set up of tents, TV, grill, etc. Now, let's talk about 'why' you would choose this spot. It is a very short walk to the beach. I made that walk three or four times a day. I went in November. So, the beach was empty and the weather perfect for both football and relaxing. Plus, Shipwreck Raw Bar is close if you want to eat out instead of grilling. I will definitely stay here again!

What a great spot with plenty of room to park and close to everything. 5 min walk to beautiful lake powell for fishing . Best beach in PCB is laguna beach and your 5 minute drive away. Brian the host is very nice and always available for any questions. The site is very nice and safe. Don't hesitate book it... you will love sand between your toes!!

Very well, kept with a beautiful scenery, the fact that there’s only three campsites is really nice as well so you don’t feel overcrowded. The firewood, being chopped and ready for you for $.50 a log was awesome. Beautiful sunrise, and sunset, I highly suggest you try to stay up just for a little bit because we were able to see a ton of shooting stars.

We've been sojourning here for almost five years. We drive our camper from Kansas City to the Everglades for the winter and stop here at the Bay Hideaway to and from to visit our six grandchildren that live in the area. It is a perfect Hideaway, with no 'stranger danger', a huge lawn to play on, a shallow bay for the kids to have fun catching crabs, a very long dock, a tree house, not to mention the quiet and the gorgeous views. I love the porch, and the trees and marsh for the excellent birdwatching. In the four days we were here this visit we saw over 15 types of birds including a Clapper Rail, a Bald Eagle, and lots of shore birds. Crystal and Nathan have been helpful and a pleasure to communicate with... very highly recommend staying here!

We loved camping on site 1 ar sweet tupelo. The hosts were absolutely phenomenal whenever we need anything they were always there to answer any questions and help us. We certainly will be coming back and would recommend this location to anyone wanting some peace and quiet next to the river. If you want to relax sweet tupelo is your place.

We love the beach & being able to stay so close to it in our RV with our pets & with privacy was awesome. Wonderful, spot. Crazily enough, this was our first time using all of the full hookup options, for we have been basically boon docking for a year, so you can imagine just how awesome it was to have all of those things accessible. We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood on our bicycles, pedaling to Shipwreck for a delicious lunch and even exploring the beautiful Veterans Park just a short distance away & best yet, having such close beach access within a short walking distance. At night, we used the fishing cleaning table as our cooking spot & then enjoyed our meals outside under the stars. The only thing we have to complain about has nothing to do with our camp site, it was just so sad to be at the beach during a red tide. We’ve heard about them, but never experienced one first hand. We walked the beach on the days we were there, but did not get to swim or put our feet in the ocean, due to the abundance of dead fish and sea creatures floating and laying dead onshore. The town came by daily to rake them up, and on our last day, sadly there was enough to fill a dump truck. :( We hope to return some day and get that ocean swim & this place would definitely be a repeat place to stay. Thanks for sharing your peace of beach life with us.
