We recently stayed at the RV Site that offered everything we needed for a relaxing and fun getaway. The highlights for us were definitely the direct access to the canal, which was perfect for launching our kayaks right from the site. The site was spacious, providing ample room not only to park our camper comfortably but also to spread out and enjoy the outdoors without feeling cramped. A standout amenity was the outdoor shower, a refreshing and convenient feature after a day on the water. Overall, a great spot that we would highly recommend!

We had an amazing time staying at Grazing Oaks, we didn’t want to leave! We were a party of 3 adults, two kids under 10, and two dogs traveling in a 30ft trailer. The RV sites are well spread apart, making the experience more exclusive to the travelers. We stayed right across from the horse stables, and got to meet the amazing staff that tends to the horses, as well as learn about them. We were in the area to scuba dive at Blue Grotto and Devils Den (just minutes away) and will absolutely be reservation again for our future dives. Although both dive locations have full RV hook ups, the laid back feel and exclusivity offered at Grazing Oaks Ranch will keep us as repeat customers.

The RV space was perfect. It is on the river. It is private. There is a fire pit with a couple of tables and chairs, firewood, trash bins. The space is beautiful. It is easy to pull in and out. There is a floating dock. The area is a perfect spot to visit many springs in the area on the Suwannee and Santa Fe Rivers. The host was responsive and non-obtrusive. Highly recommend and hope to return.

What a great location! The site was super clean and very level. We brought our boat and launched just down the road and left it at the dock for the weekend. Easy access to springs in both directions by boat. If you are looking for a bite on the river we tied up downtown and walked across the bike trail to burgers. Headed south if you turn down the Sante Fe there are a couple of restaurants in that direction too. Very quiet, decent service with Verizon, a place we will keep on our list for sure!

We had a great trip to this Hipcamp! There were lots of animals there, you could make a new animal friend! My girls loved petting the horses and feeding the cows and ruby treats. We even learned a lot from the trainer on the property. Also, there’s a zip line and a swing! The trees were breathtaking and the property was beautiful! Oh and even some fruit trees on the property. It’s always a pleasure being in the middle of nowhere. Frank was helpful when we arrived and we even met others who were staying to enjoy s’mores with. The weather was magnificent too. Would def return!

You’ll pass Homosassa and their State Park (the oldest Hippo Lu (65) lives here). At the waterfront restaurant ‘Crumps’ you can watch monkeys on an island! Dames Cave in Lecanto is about 17 minutes from here with multiple caves to explore. The famous Weeki Wachee Springs State park is a 15 minute drive south highway 19. The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.
