Anne was a great host and the whole family enjoyed our stay in 3 cabins and the RV site. Anne was very welcoming and stayed in touch with us throughout our stay. We enjoyed talking with her and getting to know the birds. The entire property is beautifully maintained, and the kitchen area was well stocked with everything we needed to make a few meals on site during our long weekend visit. The cabins were clean and A/C worked great. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone else looking to get away from the crowded big cities.

Canopy over picnic table and an outdoor sofa made our trip so easy when the weather went ugly. There was a big grill and a lot of woods for cooking or just making fire. Bathroom was next to the camping site. Dish soap and sponge were there for us to clean our cooking utensils. Hot water shower is consistent, and good pressure.

Very quiet campground with nice little walking loop. Currently upgrading bathrooms and shower house but the one that was open was very clean. No picnic table but we made due with tailgate for outside cooking. Nice relaxing weekend.

Anne’s place was absolutely perfect! Restaurants, kayak launch, and rainbow Springs all only a few short minutes away! Anne’s outdoor rustic kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need. And her outdoor bathroom/shower was AWESOME! So much better and cleaner than any state park bathroom facilities we’ve visited. Anne was such a pleasure to have awesome conversations with and she is more than accommodating and so friendly! We will absolutely return. I give her little Country Oasis a 10 out of 10!

We were welcomed on arrival, escorted to our site, given an overview of the place, along with a map and other useful info. There’s an abundance of wildlife and beautiful live oaks, pine, and other native vegetation.

I highly recommend Anne’s place. She works extra hard making the guests feel welcome! We just rented the tent camping spot - it was gorgeous. Our pup loved it as much as we did! Full use of the bathhouse available. We will definitely be back!

With tubing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, boating, and fishing available within feet of the campsite, you can stay nearby or venture out to some of the best springs in the world. Boaters – Private boat ramp is 200 yards up the road on the Santa Fe, public boat ramps within 10 miles on the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers. Tubers – Tube the private section of the crystal-clear Ichetucknee river accessible only by the homeowners via our 3 waterfront parks. Both get-out parks are within walking distance to the campsite for your convenience. The primitive backyard campsite rural, secluded and easy accessible, the spot is 20 feet wide so you’ll have enough space for your motorhome to pull in. We, the owners, will be your neighbors (on the same property) so we can assist you with your needs. Right now what we have available is a 20 amp extension cord and a water hose. You can also run your generator. THINGS TO DO The wildlife management area is a one minute walk from the campsite with the buford and eagle nest springs inside. There is also a distillery (NJoy Spirit) on site. Seven Sisters springs are a ten minute car ride away. You can rent a kayak or a canoe to go out and see dolphins, turtles, alligators, manatees, snakes, deer, various birds or even bears. Other springs in the area are Hunters Springs, Rogers Park and Three Sisters springs. Crystal River is a charming, historical town 25 minutes north. You’ll pass Homosassa and their State Park (the oldest Hippo Lu (65) lives here). At the waterfront restaurant ‘Crumps’ you can watch monkeys on an island! Dames Cave in Lecanto is about 17 minutes from here with multiple caves to explore. The famous Weeki Wachee Springs State park is a 15 minute drive south highway 19. Howard’s Flea Market is the largest in Citrus County, 10 minutes north from the camp site. ‚Adventure Flg X’ is a fun Zip Line park in Brooksville. Rainbow River Springs is an hour north from Twin Pines. The park has beautiful scenic trails and a water temperature of 72 degrees year round which invites you to explore the river in a tube or kayak. The Weeki Wachee preserve is another beautiful, close spot worth visiting. Disney World, Legoland and Universal Studios are within two hours. St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Tampa and Tarpon Springs are must-see cities! Beaches: Pine Island, Fort Island, Sunwest Park Beach. Further away: Madeira Beach, Honeymoon Island & Fort DeSoto. Make sure the beaches are open!

The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.
