This location is close to the head springs and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator.
The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs, the dock is not visible from the site you do have to walk down to the dock area. This was a nice, quiet spot very close to lots of interesting shops and restaurants. There was easy access to the Gainesville-Hawthorne trail, which we really enjoyed and made use of. Great host, great stay!

Great Setting, Full Hookup, Beautiful Dock Area. Host sent very detailed message about the location, rules, & amenities they provided which were greatly appreciated. Location is close to activities & restaurants in Homosassa Springs. Lots of nice details set up at the site like the picnic table, fire pit, lighting, seating on the deck, etc. that made it a very nice stay. Weather got very cold so we were not able to enjoy the dock as much as we would have.
Definitely would recommend to others & we would stay here again.

What a pleasant surprise! We loved everything about our stay. Betsy was such a kind and wonderful host. The setting couldn’t be more beautiful. The deer that visited were an added bonus. The location was also perfect, right around the the corner from a fabulous coffee shop (Afternoon Coffee), wood fired pizza, a brewery and more! Couldn’t recommend Betsy’s place enough. We will be back!

Kate’s land was the perfect little peaceful oasis for our weekend away! I loved waking up in the morning to a hike through the woods, the evenings were quiet and relaxing and the spot was secluded but convenient to everything we wanted to do! Private, quiet oasis on dead-end road adjacent to the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail and within walking distance to Depot Park, Cade Museum, and downtown Gainesville. Shared the site with deer frolicking and birds singing each day. Excellent communication with host before arrival. Host is available on site, if necessary, Greeted with six-pack of beer from First Magnitude Brewing Company. Host also offered electric scooters for transportation. Stayed at Downtown Nature Retreat twice in the past month....and would say again whenever in Gainesville! Highly recommend! Check out Paynes Prairie Preserve. Visit Humble Pie, Grand Scheme Brewing, Lynx Bookstore, 4th Street Food Court, and Karma Cream.

We can’t say enough about this beautiful property on 7 acres. You feel enclosed in the woods with lots of privacy. Grounds were perfect. A little tricky backing in, but just take your time and you can manage it. It is priced under market. Making it affordable for most families and a great value. I hope Kate, the owner never sells this gem. It is a property of a lifetime. Springs are bubbling up all around the property. It is located at the end of one of the river’s many private tributaries offering tons of privacy with little boat traffic, I will never forget the experience at this camping site. I would love going back someday and staying longer.
Just a note; there is no dock to tie a boat up. So you have to figure out another way to use your boat if you have one. There are public ramps within 5 miles. Swimming and kayaking is available on site.

Neighbors were all friendly and helpful. Alonda was available for our questions. I’m grateful Alondra gave us the opportunity to enjoy her very special beautiful piece of heaven on the spectacular Homosassa Springs of Florida.

I just stayed at Tyler’s land and it was absolutely wonderful! The property is stunning with so many fun things to do—you can truly relax and enjoy every moment. I was also impressed with how thoughtfully stocked everything was, including free personal hygiene products that made the stay even more comfortable. We recently stayed at the RV Site that offered everything we needed for a relaxing and fun getaway. The highlights for us were definitely the direct access to the canal, which was perfect for launching our kayaks right from the site. The site was spacious, providing ample room not only to park our camper comfortably but also to spread out and enjoy the outdoors without feeling cramped. A standout amenity was the outdoor shower, a refreshing and convenient feature after a day on the water.
Overall, a great spot that we would highly recommend!
