I am offering short-term rentals of my houseboat this season. It is located on the Apalachicola River, about 1 mile upstream of Neal Landing near Blountstown, and is only accessible by motorboat or paddle vessel. The houseboat is in a fixed location and does not move. It is furnished with two beds, a futon, and a loft for extra sleeping space, and there is a generator for power. This is a primitive camp, not a luxury resort stay. You must bring gasoline for the generator if you want power. The beds have hygienic mattress covers, but you should bring your own sleeping bag and pillow cover. You can relieve yourself at the boat ramp porta-potty (~1 mile away) or in the composting camp toilet out back. You must bring bottled drinking water or a Sawyer filter for river water. There is a propane stove/oven, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit out front if you bring wood or collect it. An outside propane instant hot water heater with a shower head and privacy screen is available if you need to get clean and don’t want to hop in the river. My goal is to offer a unique experience and provide a code to the door for the agreed time frame, not to provide every convenience. I would charge more for each stay if that were the case because it would be a real challenge for me to get to the houseboat and keep it stocked. If you come prepared for a camping trip, you will have a great time; if you come with nothing, you probably will not. This is my first time renting it out, so all the logistics are not fully sorted yet. I’m willing to talk with potential guests to see if we can work something out if additional amenities or comforts are required. This is an awesome camp for a hunting or fishing weekend, with enough room for a few friends to relax and enjoy some beers in the evening. This is not a random cash-grab rental property. This is my personal camp retreat, and I only want to share it with people who will be respectful of it and the river. More photos coming soon.

BBQ grille located on outside deck and propane is provided. There is a gas fire pit on the north river deck and a wood burning fire pit along the riverbank, wood provided. The space River Rise Cottage is set up to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience to make lasting memories. The cottage has large windows with outstanding river views and a walk around deck that you can fish from. Should it rain, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Several feet from the cottage is a screened porch overlooking the scenic river, with plenty of comfortable seating and a daybed... should you want to nap. From this location It's not uncommon to see wildlife. A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening bug free. Take a swing on the open porch, sit riverside at either our propane fire pit or have a campfire (firewood provided) which is also along the river nestled in the woods. We encourage guests to use the outdoor seating areas for the ultimate relaxation experience and to find your favorite spot! Bar-B-Q with our easy-to-use propane grill (utensils and grill pans provided). Our fish station makes cleaning your catch a breeze! Also available a full-size fridge located on the screened porch in addition to the mini fridge in the cottage. Guest access Large open deck with ladder access to the floating dock which is perfect for mooring your boat or launching kayaks. Kayaks are available for guest use. Provided are (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest. We offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico trip. This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability. We encourage guest to enjoy the common areas porches at back of main house. Camp chairs are provided and can be used at the fire pit and along the riverbank. A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards north of the property and we have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay. Other things to note: House rules for children staying at the cottage. We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at the River Rise Cottage. We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. There is a $50 non-refundable pet deposit fee for 1 -2 pets. A guest’s animal must not be: Out of control Unhouse broken. Left alone at the listing without prior approval. I am offering short-term rentals of my houseboat this season. It is located on the Apalachicola River, about 1 mile upstream of Neal Landing near Blountstown, and is only accessible by motorboat or paddle vessel. The houseboat is in a fixed location and does not move. It is furnished with two beds, a futon, and a loft for extra sleeping space, and there is a generator for power. This is a primitive camp, not a luxury resort stay. You must bring gasoline for the generator if you want power. The beds have hygienic mattress covers, but you should bring your own sleeping bag and pillow cover. You can relieve yourself at the boat ramp porta-potty (~1 mile away) or in the composting camp toilet out back. You must bring bottled drinking water or a Sawyer filter for river water. There is a propane stove/oven, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit out front if you bring wood or collect it. An outside propane instant hot water heater with a shower head and privacy screen is available if you need to get clean and don’t want to hop in the river. My goal is to offer a unique experience and provide a code to the door for the agreed time frame, not to provide every convenience. I would charge more for each stay if that were the case because it would be a real challenge for me to get to the houseboat and keep it stocked. If you come prepared for a camping trip, you will have a great time; if you come with nothing, you probably will not. This is my first time renting it out, so all the logistics are not fully sorted yet. I’m willing to talk with potential guests to see if we can work something out if additional amenities or comforts are required. This is an awesome camp for a hunting or fishing weekend, with enough room for a few friends to relax and enjoy some beers in the evening. This is not a random cash-grab rental property. This is my personal camp retreat, and I only want to share it with people who will be respectful of it and the river. More photos coming soon.

We stayed in cottage, it was very sweet and cozy. The hosts live onsite and were very kind and welcoming to us and our pup. Very dog friendly! We were provided with all the small comforts and amenities you’d find at any fine hotel, plus some sweet personal touches like a fire pit and access to an outdoor shower and fresh eggs from the chickens. We really enjoyed our stay here!

What a beautiful place to relax and let the noise of the world fade away. The property is spacious, with plenty of shade and room to run and play, plus a lovely walking trail that leads down to the creek. Though the creek is narrow, it was perfect for walking the full creek bed with our dog as he learns the river. Along the way, we found several swimming holes that were just deep enough to cool off, but never too deep to be safe. The fire pit is beautifully laid out and makes the perfect spot for morning coffee in the shade. The house itself is neat, clean, and tidy, with everything thoughtfully put together — it truly feels like a cozy cabin in the woods. We especially appreciated how private and dog-friendly the property is. Our pittie boy had the best time exploring, swimming, and enjoying the simple pleasures of the private beach and creek walks. It’s exactly the kind of secluded getaway we’re always searching for, and we’ve already added it to our trip planner for future visits. Mary was so very pleasant, patient and accommodating. I felt very welcomed and at home. Thank you Mary :)

I had such a great time on this cozy little cottage with my bf and dog Apollo! Cassandra and husband came right out to greet us when we arrived and were so welcoming (they even brought Apollo a bone!). The cottage is so warm and just felt like home, the land was so peaceful (we had the whole thing to ourselves actually that was awesome! Haha). It was a much needed vacation and I’d definitely love to come back :)

It was absolutely beautiful out there. Quiet and in the heart of natural florida and Seminole lands on the Santa fe river. Easy check in and clean cabin. Perfect little spot to stay for a nite or a few! Comfort station with coffee was the best. Also had games and a cook station with grills and smokers for use! Will definitely stay here again. And also just a quick 10 minute trip to the springs for tubing swimming ect.
