We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!). Privacy and country comforts, yet 3 miles from the I-75 exit. Grocery and restaurants nearby as well. There is a stable and 2 cross-fenced paddocks for grazing. An RV site with 30A power and water hookup, but no restroom available fo the RV site. A one room cabin with a queen bed is available with a separate full bathroom. Come visit our friendly donkey (Henry) and Scottish Highland cow (Wallace). You will hear roosters, braying and some mooing early in the morning. The Withlacoochee Trail is a mile east at the end of the road. This is a biking, hiking and equestrian trail. Florida Classic Park is roughly 2 miles north on Lockhart. The Croom Recreational Area is also 3 miles away. If you are traveling with farm animals, we do have (2) 2-acre cross-fenced paddocks available for an additional fee. We also have a stable available, but that does have a concrete floor with mats. Please reach out to us directly in this regard.

Everything was wonderful during our stay. I loved watching the horses as I cooked out on the grill and we had a colorful sunset the first night. The bathroom facility with washer/dryer is a plus! They are kind people. We would stay again if we’re back in the area!

If you're looking for a quiet space to relax and spread out, away from the cramped and noisy campgrounds, then this is the place. Lee was very nice, helping me get settled in, and equally respectful of space and privacy. There were three other guests, and they were all quiet and respectful. After being on the road for the past 8 months and often in cramped campgrounds, this was a very pleasant change. Lee's property was clean and easy to find. We would definitely return if ever in the area again.

The layout consisted of a communal firepit at the center of the camp sites. The camp sites are basically where ever you want to make them. They have a neat gypsy wagon and cabin for those who prefer more comforts. We've always been tent campers so we enjoyed the flexibility. Some treed areas some more open.

We had such a wonderful weekend camping at this farm in DeLand, Florida. It was exactly the kind of getaway we were hoping for. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up. The bathrooms and amenities were in great shape and clearly cared for. The farm animals were easily the highlight for our kids. They loved seeing the goats and even got to hold a baby goat with the owners, which made their weekend. They also befriended a turkey who hung around our campsite and the sweetest dog named Jacksonville. The kids even gave the turkey a nickname. Getting that kind of hands on experience with the animals made it feel really special. The location was great as well. We spent time at Blue Springs Park and appreciated all the local recommendations the hosts shared, including other parks and the Historical Village nearby. They suggested Big Rig for breakfast, which was exactly the casual, relaxed spot we were looking for. There were other campers on the property, but everyone was respectful and kept to themselves, so it still felt peaceful and private. One especially fun surprise was the bowling ball scavenger hunt on the property, which kept the kids entertained for quite a while. Overall, we would absolutely recommend staying here. It was a memorable family weekend and a place we would gladly return to.

We had such a great experience at the Spotted Dance Ranch. The owners we so friendly and helpful. John even helped my camper backing challenged hubs into our space. We got a tour of the horse barn and great suggestions for the area. Clean bathhouse. Everything was perfect! Will return yearly for sure. Check out the nearby Withlachookie Trail, 46 places miles. We brought our e-bikes!

Wonderful stay! We wish we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed the fire pit. Plenty of space for a private campsite. Outdoor shower and bathroom is a plus and clean. It was a little chilly for the pool but everything felt like home. Steve and Rachel are great host. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. Close to everything in NSB.

The land is perfect for country cottage vibes. Collecting fresh eggs from the Hens every morning was a bonus. The cottage my husband and I rented was adorable, quaint, immaculate, had All kinds of appliances fully equipped and decorated kitchen necessities, toiletries, nick nacks, firewood and the s’mores kit was awesome! I especially enjoyed the birthday welcome note /card and tokens for our stay! Cassandra and Walt came by to greet us for our stay and we’re wonderful hosts. We plan on renting each unit until we make it around the property! What I enjoyed about our stay is it’s close to our home but far enough to feel like a hidden gem . We had a little glamping, camping and rustic tranquil vibes. The outdoor shower was so peaceful after going for a walk /run near the wood trails. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.
