Monarch Manor Farm is not a stack and pack camper on top of camper place. It is a private organic farm owned by a Homeopathic / Naturopathic doctor and biochemist who is a nature lover, lives there and enjoys sharing the peace and tranquility with others. Pets, kids and even grandparents are welcome. The property has 40 fenced acres, private, secure and a safe place campers can enjoy. Although the property can accommodate more than 50 sites, Rick keeps it at only 3 spacious sites around his organic spring fed pond stocked with Tilapia, Largemouth bass, Red ear and Bluegill. Those who enjoy catch and release or catch and eat are welcome. There is also an abundance of blackberries and elderberries you are welcomed to pick which usually begins mid May. Guests can also enjoy many different types of wildlife, birds, chickens and even Black Angus cows meandering around.
Monarch Manor Farm is also an official Monarch Butterfly weigh station and safe respite for migrating butterflies. These beautiful pollinators have been on Earth about 175 million years from what we can gather from fossils. Beyond the splendor that would be lost from the world if monarch butterflies went extinct, there would be ripple effects in the environment.
Monarchs share their habitat with many other species of insects and birds. The birds would lose a food source, and their decline is the proverbial “canary in the coal mine” for other pollinators. If other pollinators decline like monarchs, it could have impacts on the food that humans rely on. This year (2024) we hope to finally get the Monarch Butterfly put on the endangered species list and see them rebound in numbers. So when you stay here you are also making a contribution that provides a safe chemical free environment for these super pollinators to multiply once again.
All three sites are right around the pond with great views. A combination of large live oaks, shade and sun All sites also have a picnic table, fire ring and grill. Site 1 has your choice of 110 and 30amp power. There is no power at site 2, 2A or 3. The bath house is equipped with 2 showers. One shower is heated by geothermal means and the other by a tankless hot water heater for evening showers. There is a foot pedal hand sink, portable-potty, and seating. All water is filtered and drinkable. There is a fish cleaning station equipped with a garden hose. Only 22 minutes from either Ocala, Fl or Gainesville, Fl. and 5min from Hwy. 75

Hippie Haux – A Quiet Forest Spot Near the Coast
Hippie Haux sits on about five acres of mixed oak forest with a few soft, rolling clearings. It’s tucked right near town but feels quiet and tucked away, and you’re only about 45 minutes from the beach. The land has a relaxed, rustic feel—simple, natural, and easy to settle into.
The camping area isn’t divided into marked sites. Instead, there’s an open clearing where you can choose your own spot. There’s room for roughly 6–8 setups, so it works well for tents, car camping, vans, hammocks, and pop-ups. I also have a small trailer available to rent if you’d like something more comfortable, and there’s a raised platform you can set up on as well.
You’ll find the basic comforts here: a fire pit, picnic tables, drinking water, electricity, a compost toilet, and an outdoor shower. There’s a simple communal kitchen too, plus easy parking. Fires are allowed as long as someone stays with them. Pets and kids are welcome.
The land gets regular visits from deer, owls, hawks, armadillos, squirrels, and the occasional curious bunny. At night, the sky opens up enough for great stargazing. There’s a small herbal garden on site, and a yoga deck tucked under the trees for morning stretches or a quiet sit in nature. I usually have fresh farm eggs available as well.

Our well-maintained campsite is a big, open area with full sun, surrounded by trees which give you plenty of shade if preferred. It is quiet and dark enough for you to hear the wildlife at night!
The primitive backyard campsite rural, secluded and easy accessible, the spot is 20 feet wide so you’ll have enough space for your motorhome to pull in.
We, the owners, will be your neighbors (on the same property) so we can assist you with your needs. Right now what we have available is a 20 amp extension cord and a water hose. You can also run your generator.
THINGS TO DO
The wildlife management area is a one minute walk from the campsite with the buford and eagle nest springs inside. There is also a distillery (NJoy Spirit) on site.
Seven Sisters springs are a ten minute car ride away. You can rent a kayak or a canoe to go out and see dolphins, turtles, alligators, manatees, snakes, deer, various birds or even bears.
Other springs in the area are Hunters Springs, Rogers Park and Three Sisters springs.
Crystal River is a charming, historical town 25 minutes north.
You’ll pass Homosassa and their State Park (the oldest Hippo Lu (65) lives here). At the waterfront restaurant ‘Crumps’ you can watch monkeys on an island!
Dames Cave in Lecanto is about 17 minutes from here with multiple caves to explore.
The famous Weeki Wachee Springs State park is a 15 minute drive south highway 19.
Howard’s Flea Market is the largest in Citrus County, 10 minutes north from the camp site.
‚Adventure Flg X’ is a fun Zip Line park in Brooksville.
Rainbow River Springs is an hour north from Twin Pines. The park has beautiful scenic trails and a water temperature of 72 degrees year round which invites you to explore the river in a tube or kayak.

The monarch farm was everything that Rick described it to be and so much more! The sites are huge. We easily fit three tents and had plenty of room left over. The large pond is absolutely beautiful. We fished every day and finally caught some elusive large mouth bass and one huge tilapia. My grandchildren fished from Sun up till sundown. The bath facilities were exactly as described and very comfortable to use. The property was very quiet with only an occasional sound of a truck and of course, our early morning wake up with the rooster. Our two dogs loved, running around and being free. I don’t know if there can be a better host than Rick! He checked on us every day and made sure we had everything we needed. We loved talking to him. This location is only 25 minutes from Gainesville yet very secluded. I think my only recommendation would be to put a different lock on the front gate, perhaps one with a combination but that’s it. I wouldn’t change a single thing. I truly loved being with my family in this location. This is definitely a five star location.

The site was right next to the pond. Peaceful only hearing the sounds of nature. Lots of trees for shade. Ricki was a very attentive and kind host making sure I was able to find the property and site without issues. Will definitely goo back when I have more time to enjoy.

Rick’s land was great to camp on! The site is directly in front of a small pond. It has beautiful shade trees and is so quiet. It is across the pond from the bathroom/shower, but not a long walk. Rick himself was a pleasure to work with. He is very helpful (especially with lost phones in weird places 😬😅) and communicates in a timely manner. I would highly recommend his land for camping!

We thoroughly enjoyed Rick’s camp. It is some of the easiest camping we’ve done and the property is beautiful. The bathhouse is glorious and sites were perfectly positioned for our group. Plenty of room to spread out. The fishing and view of the pond was relaxing and fun. Nice shade, breeze, and sunny spots perfect for hanging out and napping. We will be coming back. Rick is a great and knowledgeable host who was very helpful, friendly, and clearly takes pride in caring for this super nice property.

This was all around an AMAZING EXPERIENCE!
Rick, the host, is a great human being. He was waiting for us at the site, willing and available to help out in whatever thing we could need. He went the extra 2 miles for us to feel at home, and we did. The site is beautiful, clean, peaceful, quiet and full of nature everywhere, including a pond where you can fish and then cook your own caught meal (and a boat to ride too). The bathroom, the showers, and the place in general is fantastic. The kids had an amazing time all around. You have stores 5-10 minutes away and you can get whatever you need. The place felt very safe and the experience was way more than we expected. We made a friend for life and found our camping spot for years to come! We are already planning our next trip. You will not regret coming to Monarch Manor Farm. 10 out of 5 stars!

This is a great 55+ RV community that was so welcoming and friendly!! It was our first trip out in our RV and we hadn’t anticipated the challenge of backing in the RV but a nice couple out walking helped us get the RV backed in properly so we didn’t have any issues. The hosts were very responsive to texts and calls, super helpful and accommodating! There are several lots for sale in this community but we didn’t find any others on Hipcamp. We did not use any of the amenities but it is a great option to have them available so close. The resort is only a short distance from town so you can run to Walmart, Starbucks, or Bob Evans if you need anything. You are also a short distance from several springs as well. We will definitely be back again!!

This spot was so perfect for what we needed. The site is clean and level and the deck provided such a nice spot for morning coffee or relaxing at the end of the day. The pool and hot tub were a nice addition. Laundry was really fairly priced. The cafe had great breakfast and you must get a Whoopie pie from the candy store! This spot is in a park but there are other RVs. Everyone was nice and friendly. Would go back!
