Located near I-75 just 20 miles South of Tampa, 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg, 35 miles North of Sarasota, 2 hours West of Orlando. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

Welcome to Smokey Acres! This property has been in my family for decades. My Husband and I were married under the oaks and have had our share of campfires out there. Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando. A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! Whether you'd like a leisurely day on the river or an adventure in the Gulf, there are plenty of boating options nearby. Everything went well it was a very peaceful place. It was clean it was cute my only suggestion is is maybe bring something that pads the pull out bed they have in there but other than that everything else was perfect. Thank you so much for the space Star wars were fine bathroom was fine I had a couple of campfires it was just quiet and peaceful and I had massive alone time and I loved it. Mini fridge worked and AC probably worked but I never had to turn it on I just used the fan because it was cool evenings and it was a great base for me to stay in order to go fishing or out somewhere sleep late lay there or just listen to the sounds of the forest which I don't get to hear very often. Thank you thank you thank you so much. I'm probably going to stay again sometime.

This was our first experience booking a stay with hipcamp, and it's really going to be a tough one to beat! The stay at Rob and Mike's was incredible, and I'm sure we'll be comparing all of our future adventures to this one--it will be difficult to live up to! The RV was great, the grounds were spectacular, and the ranch experience Rob and Mike led us through was something the kids and I won't forget anytime soon. They're already asking when we can go back! I honestly can't think of anything they could have done to make the stay better...they nailed everything from the big-picture stuff to the nitty-gritty details. Truly a wonderful experience. I would (and have!) recommend this to everyone I know--especially those with kids!

We loved every second! The hosts were fantastic. Make sure we were comfortable in our tiny house. We were pleased enough to make sure that they knew that we would be back! We even left them a business card for them to call us. What a great place. Would highly recommend. Much work was put into a communal fire pit, and cooking area. Absolutely wonderful!

Our Family absolutely loved our stay! The campground was beautiful and peaceful, and all the attention to detail was amazing! What was meant to be a mother/daughter weekend getaway has turned into a family tradition thanks to Rob and Mike’s amazing accommodations and property! I live in Florida, in fact not far from this property and yet we felt like we were deep in the woods on a gorgeous property with awesome trails. The donkeys and horses are my daughter’s favorite. Oh and the farm tour, top notch! You can tell how much Rob and Mike love their animals, with 5 star accommodations for all their animals. Every moment at Lucky U Ranch has made precious memories we will cherish forever! Rob and Mike are the bests hosts and just awesome guys! You won’t be disappointed. Cant wait to book our next trip with them!

Absolutely loved it!!!! So so cute and pretty spacious! I felt i was in my own world but there were also many families around me, so I felt very safe as well! If you’re on the taller side, though, definitely bring a mattress or cot haha other then that it was so cute! Will definitely come again!

Camp Champ is a fantastic place in the woods. Super peaceful, the host was just great, and they leave you alone but are instantly available for any queries. Facilities are rustic and basic but all you need from the flush toilet and hot shower, to cooking equipment and ac. Surprisingly few mosquitoes or any other kind of annoying bugs. The river at Camp Champ was a bit high due to recent rains so we had to go to nearby parks to look for shark teeth. Good value for money. Thank you April!

The cabana was clean, modern and comfortable, perfect for a weekend getaway. It was also stocked with all of the essentials. There were two pools, and plenty of hosted activities throughout the day for kids. The live music was also a nice touch. You have everything onsite - basketball court, volleyball, yard games, bars, restaurants, and a store, but also just a short drive to nearby restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a fun, stress-free retreat with a touch of comfort!
