Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando. A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees... The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando. A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees... The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek. Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. We loved staying here. Mike and Rob were very fast with communication, the were very pleasant and so were all their staff. The sites all looked very nice. We stayed in the hobbit hole. Nice secluded flat spot with fire ring, an picnic table. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. They truly go above and beyond here and it’s easy to see why they’re top rated. 5/5 from us and we’d stay here again!

First of all, congrats to Rob and Mike on receiving the Best Hipcamp award for 2025! If anyone deserves it, it is them! My third visit here, and as always...it was amazing! Rob and Mike are the greatest hosts! They are so accommodating, super nice, and keep such great care of the property. Bathrooms and showers are always very clean. I just love the animals there, especially the horses and donkeys! I came this time to do some kayaking. So many awesome places nearby. My 9-year-old granddaughter usually comes with me but unfortunately, she had school. We feel so safe camping at this ranch! This is undoubtedly our favorite place to camp and will be coming back as much as possible!

This was an amazing little gem! The owners were amazing! They greeted us as soon as we arrived and showed us around the property! They checked in on us throughout our stay and provided some extra firewood as we needed it! There were chickens running around and we were able to have fresh eggs in the mornings! We were able to set up a tent to accommodate some extra guests and we brought our pup who loved the property! We made some incredible meals and the camper has all the cookware, dinnerware, and seasonings you need! They also left us stuff to make s’mores! We really enjoyed the outdoor shower and the bathroom was surprisingly clean! We will definitely be back and we would definitely recommend!

We had a great time at the cabin and our dogs did too! We decided to come out for some star gazing and it was fantastic! We worried about canopy coverage being in the forest but there is enough of a clearing around the house from trees for a wonderful view of the sky and caught a bit of the orionids shower. The light pollution is minimal compared to most the rest of the state unless you go into Kissimmee Prairie National Park, but we really appreciated having the private fenced in space for our 2 dogs. The beds are comfortable, the ac works well and the fans in the bedrooms were very appreciated. Having to walk outside to get to the bathroom helps you feel like your still camping but the bathroom was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using the firepit to make dinner and loved to disconnect for a while. The DVD collection was great and we would love to camp here again in the future. Thanks Hope!

This place was so peaceful and just what I needed. I spent a few days recharging on this beautiful property and would stay here again if in the area. The only thing I would mention is that the road into the park has a lot of bumps and places washed out from the rain down here, just as a heads up for larger RVs because it was a bumpy ride in just my van. Everything was super well kept - clean trash cans for each spot, no trash anywhere on site, freshly mowed grass, and one well kept nature trail that I liked walking with my dog. Lots of wildlife and nature sounds; 10/10 for me!

Everything went well it was a very peaceful place. It was clean it was cute my only suggestion is is maybe bring something that pads the pull out bed they have in there but other than that everything else was perfect. Thank you so much for the space Star wars were fine bathroom was fine I had a couple of campfires it was just quiet and peaceful and I had massive alone time and I loved it. Mini fridge worked and AC probably worked but I never had to turn it on I just used the fan because it was cool evenings and it was a great base for me to stay in order to go fishing or out somewhere sleep late lay there or just listen to the sounds of the forest which I don't get to hear very often. Thank you thank you thank you so much. I'm probably going to stay again sometime.

Incredible land and setup! We were the first couple to camp under the mini temple wooden structure and it was a very short walk from the bathroom and outside shower (awesome experience, especially with some hot water) but still tucked away in nature. We would wake up to rooster calls and some movement from the cute chickens nearby and it was a very pleasant experience—let alone getting to know the owners, Lynn and David, who were very welcoming and kind. Would love to come back!

For the price ($15 per night) it was great. It is next to a busy street but has a wood privacy fence on all sides except the entrance gate which you manually open and close. If you have a small dog, then you might want to take the extra boards lying next to the entrance to block the gap at the bottom of the entrance gate so your pooch doesn’t get out. There is electric, water and sewer but you will need 2 people for the sewer- one to hold the line to the drain and another to work the valves. There’s a wonderful swing and a fire pit to warm up to on those cooler nights. Be sure you have RV levelers as the ground isn’t level but most of it has asphalt under the sand so you don’t get stuck. It’s only about 20 minutes from Bucaneer Bay waterpark and the weeki watchi state park with the live mermaid show and river kayaking. And tons of places to eat at. The host, Amanda, is extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend this location especially if you’re on a budget.

We were treated like family by Rob and Mike from the escort to our beautiful well-maintained campsite with plenty of special touches like firewood, a night lantern, and large mat in front of our camper. Just a short walk away was a cute comfort station with a small well stocked kitchen, coffee service, hot showers with fresh towels, and clean flushing toilets. We enjoyed the huge property, hiking trails and animals that visited our campsite and the farm tour. We also explored some local areas like state parks, bike trails, and train museum. We already have reservations for our trip!

We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!).

There are endless places to put a tent including by the lake, or completely private areas, or by the common areas to be close to a bathroom and kitchen and pavilion, water and electric. The amenities include a pavilion with an outside kitchen, dinning and living area. There is also a ( large shed converted to a ) cook shack with a full size fridge, microwave, electric burners and a toaster oven. There is also a bathroom with a full-size shower/tub, hot water and a toilet. It comes with all of the basics to be comfortable while you camp. Also, you have a good chance of being alone. we usually only book 1 party at a time, Just message me to confirm. The property has enough lighting to completely light up the common area. There is also water and electric all over the property. There is a shooting range right outside of the property that is part of the forest. There is Blue Sink several miles away, it is a spring feed swimming hole that is deep enough for SCUBA. There is horse trails and OHV trails as well. This camp was a hunting camp and still has an huge animal cleaning station on the back side of the property, with water, drainage, power, lighting and all stainless steel sinks and counters. Come to play and explore or come to relax. Our camp is always (slowly)being Improved, you might see work in progress so be aware there may be a consolidated area that looks messy. This is a camp, everything gets dusty, and there are bugs. We keep the yard kept up and do what we can to limit bugs in the common area. I recommend a 4x4 although I don’t own one my self. The roads are usually decent, but the weather has a lot to do with roads in the forest.

The birds would lose a food source, and their decline is the proverbial “canary in the coal mine” for other pollinators. If other pollinators decline like monarchs, it could have impacts on the food that humans rely on. This year (2024) we hope to finally get the Monarch Butterfly put on the endangered species list and see them rebound in numbers. So when you stay here you are also making a contribution that provides a safe chemical free environment for these super pollinators to multiply once again. Today, under our ownership since the late 40s, the Ranch has never been developed or timbered in any large measure. Original heart pine forests, oak groves, and wetlands pepper the entire tract. The land has remained largely untouched and natural, which is rare, in a state that is rapidly loosing its natural land to development. Our Ranch is more of a natural preserve than a farm, and it is our aim to share it in limited measure with the public.
