This is a perfect get away. Fish, paddleboard, kayak or swim right behind the house. Lisa is an awesome host. She is very responsive to questions and has lots small useful accessories for the trip. This is a great 55+ RV community that was so welcoming and friendly!! It was our first trip out in our RV and we hadn’t anticipated the challenge of backing in the RV but a nice couple out walking helped us get the RV backed in properly so we didn’t have any issues. The hosts were very responsive to texts and calls, super helpful and accommodating! There are several lots for sale in this community but we didn’t find any others on Hipcamp. We did not use any of the amenities but it is a great option to have them available so close. The resort is only a short distance from town so you can run to Walmart, Starbucks, or Bob Evans if you need anything. You are also a short distance from several springs as well. We will definitely be back again!!

This spot was so perfect for what we needed. The site is clean and level and the deck provided such a nice spot for morning coffee or relaxing at the end of the day. The pool and hot tub were a nice addition. Laundry was really fairly priced. The cafe had great breakfast and you must get a Whoopie pie from the candy store! This spot is in a park but there are other RVs. Everyone was nice and friendly. Would go back!

J & T Hideaway / Silver Springs, FL was a clean, well appointed site, only a short drive from Silver Springs. The pool was nearby and open until 10pm and the Bath House had AC and clean hot showers. Tina was a welcoming and attentive host and we recommend this site to anyone visiting the area.

We booked the RV spot at Manatee Landing Retreat for Mother’s Day weekend, and even though the weather was mostly rainy and cloudy, it didn’t rain on our parade! In fact, having the place mostly to ourselves made it feel like our own private oasis. The tiki hut was a total game-changer—giving us shelter when the rain did come through, and a cozy place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. When the sun peeked out, we made the most of it with kayaking, bouncing on the trampoline, and exploring the beautiful area with our dogs, who absolutely loved it. Even with the clouds, the peaceful vibe and thoughtful amenities made it a weekend to remember. We can’t wait to come back—hopefully with a little more sunshine next time

2 nights at Old Florida Waterfront Getaway

This is a charming spot complete with all the amenities to enjoy the river. Having use of the kayaks, fire pit and bbq made it feel like home and interacting with the other guests made it even better. Would stay here again. If your vehicle is wide or you are not super confident backing up this space may be intimidating and it is difficult to use the dump so we chose not to at this spot. If you have a van or smaller camper there should be no problem.

Dunnellon Surrounds

Several tubing options sit on the Rainbow River, and a convenient shuttle service runs from Rainbow Springs State Park. Locals tend to caravan their floats the old-fashioned way, launching out of KP Hole and taking out at the Blue Run of Dunnellon Park.

Rainbow Springs State Park

Rainbow Springs State Park is not to be missed. Swimming and snorkeling are allowed at the headsprings, while campers can also rent kayaks and canoes to paddle the Rainbow River or tube down its clear waters with the help of the park’s shuttle service. The Rainbow Springs campground has both RV camping and tent camping sites with picnic tables, fire pits, and water/electric hookups.
