Weekend Trip to Shannon Trails bring your horses

Canopy over picnic table and an outdoor sofa made our trip so easy when the weather went ugly. There was a big grill and a lot of woods for cooking or just making fire. Bathroom was next to the camping site. Dish soap and sponge were there for us to clean our cooking utensils. Hot water shower is consistent, and good pressure.

2 nights at Neal’s Nest

Was a great stay for a few nights! We felt safe in their gated yard and they had TONS of yard for the doggos to play and run around freely. They include a few fun things to do such as a volleyball net, grilling equipment, gas full hookups for RVs and we felt welcome right away so we decided to extend our stay. There is a 31 mile trail to run on and walk the dogs about 20 mins away. The only downfall was there is so many flies all over and maybe it’s just a Florida thing but we didn’t let it ruin our stay ! 9:/10 recommend!

Weekend Trip to Neal’s Nest

It was a cute little setup! AC worked well and neighbors were nice. Only thing is we had to kill some brown widow spiders that were on the porch and close to the chairs under the table. I also paid for two bundles of firewood and never got them.

Weekend Trip to Happy Campers Rescue Ranch

Arcadio was super helpful upon arriving. He helped us switch campsites with such ease to one that would be more suitable for the amount of people we had and gave a timely refund for the one we didn’t use. The land itself is great, too. There are fire pits, chairs, and tables provided in great condition. Plenty of firewood spread around. And a lot of animal noises (farm and wildlife) that made the trip feel like camping. There’s also a great swimming area like 7 minutes away Arcadia told us about.

Loved camping here. The campground was beautiful and magical. We had deer visit us during the night and enjoyed the hoot owls calling to each other. Yvette is a wonderful camp host and made us feel so welcome even with our late arrival. She made sure we had everything we needed and then some. We felt like a wanted guest in her home. Will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Pure Paradise Lebanon station

I loved camping here so peaceful and serene. The waterfall feature was not on but it was really cool anyhow specially at night with it all lit up. Frank the owner is amazing he met us with a happy greeting gave us the Option of 2 different sites and also let us borrow his 50 to 30 amp plug for our camper because we had forgotten ours. There is a really cool Bar with a pool table and lots of seating and a small restaurant for you to eat there on site. It was an amazing place and can't wait to pass through again. Thank you Frank again for letting us stay there.

Great open land with nice clusters of trees for cooling shade. Owner does an excellent job in providing a bin of some essentials along with a very detailed and organized binder that explains everything you need to know to ensure the best experience possible. All the rules are clear so there’s little left but to relax and enjoy the property. They provide all kinds of add ons including access to a very nice gym. Restrooms and showers were some of the nicest hip camp amenities Ive seen, all cooled by brand new air-conditioners. Cold and hot filtered bottle water is provided to refill your camp supply. We saw several gopher turtles and the bird watching was incredible with 11 different varieties in one evening. We would definitely go back and visit again.

I took my dad here for his birthday and we LOVED it! It was so nice!! Frank was friendly and accommodating! As was everyone there! Facilities were well maintained and very clean! There was also a really cool spot to hangout on the weekend which is on site! The food was amazing and the vibes were on point!

Campsite was quiet and peaceful, not crowded. I had water and electrical hookups for my van. Quiet at night even with the biker bar on property. I felt safe staying here. Outdoor showers were great, private, hot water! Bathrooms were clean and blissfully air conditioned!

3 nights at Pure Paradise Lebanon station

Frank the host works hard to keep up his property and is updating it when he can. There are currently about 4 FHU sites available (partially shaded) the others have full-time residents in them. Then there are 10 sites that have water (non-potable) & electric only. These are in a field with little to no shade. They is a ton of primitive campsites and these do provide shade. The restrooms are near the bar barn and the showers are near the FHU sites. The waterfall does not run all the time usually on weekends or for special events. There is NOT a party going on all the time. Some Fridays have a karaoke person in. If you really want to know when there's a big event I suggest you contact the host. Otherwise just enjoy the quiet. If you want to party or be busy Crystal River and Dunnellon are only about 25 minutes away. We happened to be there for a benefit for a local resident who needs a medical procedure. And some good money was raised for him, hope all goes well. Yes there are many motorcycle enthusiasts that make their weekend end trip out to the property.

The location was easy to find. Arcadia and his wife were absolutely welcoming and accommodating. The lots are spacious, easily accessible as well as comfortable. All and all a very charming experience I would definitely recommend! 10 out of 10! Don’t forget to ask Arcadia where to catch raddest sunset! 🌅

I really enjoyed camping with my family here. The people that run the campground even went out and hit a whole bunch of eggs around the campsite so all the little children can do an Easter egg hunt when they woke up in the morning. The Host that runs the camp is an awesome person and treats the campers with the utmost respect. I will definitely be coming here in the future with my family for future camping trips.

Anne’s place was absolutely perfect! Restaurants, kayak launch, and rainbow Springs all only a few short minutes away! Anne’s outdoor rustic kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need. And her outdoor bathroom/shower was AWESOME! So much better and cleaner than any state park bathroom facilities we’ve visited. Anne was such a pleasure to have awesome conversations with and she is more than accommodating and so friendly! We will absolutely return. I give her little Country Oasis a 10 out of 10!

Inshore and offshore fishing is year-round. Scallop season is June to September. More than 20 springs are located within 45 minutes of Steinhatchee. Too numerous to count are the Florida Wildlife Management areas that are accessible by car and allow for bird watching and animal siting of deer and wild boar. Steinhatchee River is a kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding experience. The local restaurants/Marinas are within five minutes of the campground. Live music is available at the restaurants.

If traveling with adult groups a 5th wheel or bus has more suitable larger space for those groups. This is great for an adult couple or adult couple with children.

If other pollinators decline like monarchs, it could have impacts on the food that humans rely on. This year (2024) we hope to finally get the Monarch Butterfly put on the endangered species list and see them rebound in numbers. Water, Sewer, 30amp; Electric. Not on the water but walking distance. This property is shared with the owner. campsite is separated from owner's house with a pole barn. This is not a waterfront site. You are not camping on the water, however, Rainbow River Peek is named because you can get a peek of the river from the site. You can bike to the river in about two minutes. This is a small, narrow (14ft wide) but quiet area, a few hundred feet from The Rainbow River. Located on a dead-end street. It is partially surrounded by Florida foliage next to a pole barn. 30 amp plug, Sewer, Water and 110 electric outlet and outdoor sink is on the site. The Rainbow River is a gorgeous river that is walking distance from the site. There is a beach, free boat launch, free kayak launch, tiki bars with live entertainment, antique shops, restaurants and a Publix/Aldi/Discount Grocery all within biking and walking distance. EXTRAS: Just like most campgrounds, check-in is after 3 and checkout, before 1 for cleanup between reservations. However, those times are negotiable if no arrival or departures those days. I am not a campground with multiple sites. When you cancel last minute you're hurting my biz as well as those that could've booked. No last minute cancellations! Hunter Springs is a great little park with a beach area for swimming and kayak rentals too. There are also several Diving with the Manatee tours available. One we suggest in town is Fun2Dive. These are all only a short drive away. You can enjoy swimming, fishing, scalloping, snorkeling, kayaking, pontooning just five minutes away, or just relaxing back at camp fireside. Heritage Village is in town filled with many hometown eateries and shoppes. It's a great way to spend the afternoon and explore downtown Crystal River. We have a variety of great one-of-a-kind eateries with many special events and festivals throughout the year. Conveniently located at the end of the street is a Publix, DG, a Mexican restaurant, and Beef O'Brady's. Homosassa is only an hour away where you can enjoy the Manatee tours or even book a swim with the Manatees. The cute little town of Cedar Key (25 minutes away) is on the Gulf with lots of shops, restaurants, a boat ramp, fishing pier and even golf cart rentals to cruise around town on. The Tiki Bar at Low-Key Hideaway is right on the water and has live music every weekend. We also have the beautiful and scenic Chiefland Golf and Country Club about 15 minutes away where you can golf and dine. Our small town of Chiefland is only a 12-mile drive and has shops, dining options, a Super Walmart for your groceries/supplies, and a flea market that is open on the weekends.
