Homosassa is an old Florida fishing town that is a hidden gem along the gulf coast, this site is nestled quietly at the head of the river on our shared residential property. This location is close to the head springs and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator.
The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs, the dock is not visible from the site you do have to walk down to the dock area. This is a residential area and is very quiet. You can see the layout of the property in the photos from an aerial view as well as other photos of the setup.
This listing is for the SITE ONLY. Setup your own RV under the shade then enjoy our shared dock with direct access into the Homosassa springs for a refreshing dip or paddle. We provide full hookups (water, sewer, 50amp electric) for your RV as well as WIFI service and access to the docks for your boat or swimming. We have kayaks and paddleboards INCLUDED with our site or bring your own to paddle the springs and take a chance at seeing a manatee up close and personal or catching some fish. We love to share our space with like minded outdoorsy people who respect nature and like to relax in the outdoors. This is not a party place, loud music or late nights aren't acceptable.

We had the best time tent camping at Jewel’s Sink. There was a drought causing low water levels and we had overcast skies during our stay, but despite having subpar weather conditions the sink was still turquoise blue and stunning! The surrounding land the sink sits on is open and gorgeous as well. We woke up to deer in the field which was an extra treat! The owner was very kind and responsive. Already planning my next trip back!!

Very nice setup. Close to the springs, restaurants and shopping if needed. Dock area is very nice. Comfy chairs and a table. The water is crystal clear so you can see all of the varieties of fish. Didn’t see any manatees at this spot as the weather is warming up. Kayaks and paddle boards are available and in good shape. The site itself is large with a nice table setup, solo fireplace and hookups. Site is level which is nice. Only met Alonda once as we pulled in but we had no issues so there was no need to bother her. The resident dog Jazzie, was friendly with my dog and she was very sweet. Excellent experience overall.

Loved every thing about this spot- serenity quiet & peaceful neighborhood, only a few steps to great paddling on the springs with a dock for our use, Homosassa River and manatees galore! Easy bike ride to Old Homasassa, close to grocery store, Walmart and great seafood market! Our host, Alonda was accessible and polite!

The, area was very quiet. We really enjoyed it. Felt very much like the Florida that you don’t see when you’re a tourist. Large trees, hanging moss lots of foliage. The lot was level, had everything for hookups. Remember to bring your 50 to 30 amp reducer. The water was clear, we used the kayak and went for a beautiful day on the water.

The hosts created a peaceful HipCamp experience. The site was level and fairly secluded. We had access to the dock where I was able to have my morning coffee and just chill. The site is just minutes away from the State Park with Manatee viewings and a nice walking trail. There are also several bike trails all within 30 minutes (would recommend the Withlacoochee Trail just north of Crystal Springs - paved with areas to stop and picnic).

I could only go up for 1 day this time to see the new Baby Goats. But, it really is a Touch of Heaven. I purchased a HUGH fresh Breakfast of two Sausage Biscuits and Gravy, two farm fresh Eggs, large Coffee, fresh Goat Milk, and Goat Milk Cheese. Crystal even delivered it on a tray because I was under the weather. This HipCamp deserves a 10 out of 5!

Great Setting, Full Hookup, Beautiful Dock Area. Host sent very detailed message about the location, rules, & amenities they provided which were greatly appreciated. Location is close to activities & restaurants in Homosassa Springs. Lots of nice details set up at the site like the picnic table, fire pit, lighting, seating on the deck, etc. that made it a very nice stay. Weather got very cold so we were not able to enjoy the dock as much as we would have.
Definitely would recommend to others & we would stay here again.

Simple setup, got in late, didn't have to worry about disrupting other campers. Some ruts in short road, Pacifica did alright though. Good communication with host💮 kinda odd being in opening but was a last minute accommodation I was grateful for, quiet there too.

10/10 experience! My husband and I got married on Friday and headed straight to John’s campsite that very night - it was the perfect way to begin our new chapter together. We’re so grateful and appreciative to have spent such a special weekend in such a beautiful place. The campsite is wonderfully remote, private, and peaceful, making the entire experience truly exceptional. The weather was perfect, the skies were clear, and the night sky was absolutely stunning, filled with stars and even shooting stars stretching across the horizon. It felt like camping inside a planetarium! An unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever.
