Downtown Fort Myers is about a 20-minute drive and has many local restaurants and shops if you want to go out and about. They typically have events on the weekends like Art Walk and Music Walk!
We are a 20-minute drive from Babcock Ranch - a community open to the public that has several walking/biking trails, a beautiful lake for kayaking/fishing, and a small dog park. They also have a restaurant (Lakehouse Kitchen and Bar) that looks out over the water and live entertainment on certain days of the week!
If you are looking for a full farm-to-table experience, Buckingham Farms is 20 minutes from us and is a 85-acre farm with fresh produce grown hydroponically! We are also a one-minute drive to "Blossom & Brie" which is another farm-to-table experience that offers brunch, lunch, and dinner on a 50 acre farm!
With just a 2-minute drive, we have two parks, Nalle Grade Park and Pop Ash Creek Preserve, for those who enjoy nature walks, fishing, or birding. There are also a handful of other nature preserves and parks in the local area that are around a 20 to 25-minute drive!
There are many other restaurants, parks, and local businesses nearby for you to enjoy if you want to get out and explore the local area!

A wooded 1 acre cabin site featuring a cozy modified A-frame cedar cabin. There are several areas around the cabin site for guests to utilize . The area immediately around the cabin is fenced to help keep curious wildlife from getting too curious. A more isolated and remote area is located approximately 125 yards from the cabin area. One of the campfire pits is located here.
Coyotes, Foxes, Bobcats, Raccoons, Armadillos and more have all been spotted and photographed on the property. Birdwatchers will enjoy Florida’s rich avian diversity, including Owls, Ospreys, Hawks, Falcons, and Eagles. Many water birds frequent the property’s small pond, though it is seasonal.
Ideal for "day trippers". Just minutes away in any direction are Southwest Florida’s premier nature preserves, estuaries, sanctuaries, state and national parks. Delnor-Wiggins Pass and boat ramp access to the Gulf are 14 miles away. Audubon’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is 6 miles away. The CREW Wildlife and Environmental Area is 4.5 miles away. Everglades National Park is 10 miles away, and the Florida Panther Wildlife Management Area is 12 miles away.
This is a "dark" location, nice for stargazing.

We had a good experience; the campsite is spacious and has plenty of shade. The bathroom was clean and close to our tent. John was very attentive. We had a problem with our inflatable mattress and had to buy a new one, but luckily, and very conveniently, there's a Walmart only 20 minutes away. The only thing we didn't like is that for us, the camping experience is about connecting with nature, but the constant noise of passing cars disrupted that connection. We would come back, but to a different campsite. Overall, we enjoyed it.

John, his wife Patty, and son John are all so wonderful! Extremely family friendly with lots of activities if you have kids, and REAL dog lovers. If you're looking for the perfect peaceful relaxing getaway for ALL your family members look no further.
Dogs are allowed off leash and our dog felt very much at home and happy to have so many new friends! We were so at peace we extended our stay. We had 2 different sites that I'd strongly recommend.
The Hideaway was stellar and felt like a literal hideaway! Cute and tucked away with a shady spot with a hammock. Shadie Oaks was exactly how it sounds, wonderful and shady and an extra nice big space with plenty of room in the sun! Both spaces have a fire pit, some chairs, and a picnic table.
You're not far from town to get more supplies or ice, but it feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere. Potable water isn’t available, but electric is provided and an amazing outdoor shower! Very nice bathroom as well. Highly recommend getting wood from them too. Got a huge bundles and well worth the price.
It was a very pleasant stay. If peace, quiet, and relaxation is what you're looking for you've found THE place you NEED to stay. It helped going out on the river a few times as well. The kayak rentals are VERY reasonable. We had fun taking our dog out on the tandem kayak! Fixed us right up and we're looking forward to our next trip because we plan on visiting again in the future!

We really enjoyed our campsite! John was an excellent host -- checking in with us but also letting us do our own thing. We brought paddle boards and spent the entire day paddling Shell Creek and taking in the beauty of nature. The campsite was huge and very shady. It mentioned being sloped but that was really very, very tiny. We have a 13' Scamp and easily got it leveled. We will definitely return!

Norman was a fantastic host! Everyone on the farm was super friendly and welcoming — we genuinely enjoyed every part of our stay, and we’re already planning to come back. Even the mosquitoes were friendly (no bites at all 😄).
The setup was beautiful — fire pit, grill, and what felt like an unlimited supply of firewood. The animals made the experience unforgettable: horses, donkeys, cows, and chickens. Feeding Pumpkin and Dirty Girl (the horses) while Izzy was mooing for attention because she was jealous? Absolutely priceless 😂🥰
The lounge area with Wi-Fi access, plus a bathroom with a sink and shower, made camping feel like hotel-level comfort. Our spot was tucked away and peaceful — it felt like we had our own little hideaway in the world, even just for a short time.
