Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location.
But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future.
However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.
As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch.
You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by. We look forward to hosting you!

There are two flowing creeks on property. We have walking trails where wild fruit trees can be found and Chicken of the woods and other mushrooms. Our hosts at Shiloh were wonderful, making sure we were warm and safe during an unusual cold snap and helping us find good things to see and do during our long weekend in Oak Hill. This was a great camping spot within reasonable driving distance of Playa Linda beach, Merritt Island wildlife refuge, Titusville and the Kennedy Space Center. Power is available, but no water or flush toilets, as the listing clearly explains. It is a very reasonably priced, level, well laid out site in a great location and the owners were always available, but never obtrusive - even had a fire made up and ready to light in the fire pit when we arrived.

We had such an amazing experience here. From arriving and seeing the adorable animals and scenery, greeted so friendly, and setting up camp at such a beautiful spot on the water. The place is kept up well and offers so many cool experiences with the trails you can walk on, water and the goats and cows you can feed and interact with. Such a unique experience even just staying for a night was wonderful. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend! So much fun
