This property is called relic ranch because we have actually found a ton of old relics. the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest. there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore. also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

If you are having a rough week, load up and relax on our working farm filled with miniature horses and numerous other adorable miniature animals that will be sure to put a smile on your face. Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

We are approximately 12 miles to Port Canaveral (Cruise Ships, restaurants, beaches). Close to Kennedy Space Center. Close the Cocoa Village where there are plenty of restaurants and bars as well as some neat shops. Plenty of areas to swim and fish are near by as well. Jetty Park, Cocoa Beach also about 30 minutes away. If your lucky enough to see a launch from the driveway, its a real treat. Or you can drive over to the edge of the Banana and Indian Rivers and park along the road. PLEASE NOTE: We live on a one way street with no turn around, so its best to pull down the street and turn wide into the driveway and open the gate (If we have not opened it for you). Pull all the way to the end of the driveway (or up to our Montana) and back to the west where the site is located. This will put the utility side of your RV right up with the pedestal. This will put your camp side facing the house. Then when you leave just swing out the driveway and east down the street (Ideal for motorhomes and small to medium trailers)

Such a beautiful piece of property. Well taken care of, clean, and safe for me and my dog. I will definitely be coming back. My hosts were attentive yet I had plenty of privacy. The barn space was beautifully done with a swing bed for napping, huge shower, and useful kitchen. Can’t recommend this place enough. I originally booked it because my usual campgrounds were full and so happy it worked out that way. River junction is less than two miles away so I enjoyed my own private beach on the river after my activities. Do yourself a favor and take a few days to stay here and enjoy nature with some lovely hosts with great energy.

Kenny was a great host. Excellent communication. The reviews i read said it was hard to find, but we had no problem. Trust your gps. It is very secluded. We stayed with our hauler and motorcycles. Worked out great for us. The shower is well water. Definitely NOT drinkable, but it will cool you down on a hot day.

This was our second time at North Shore Relic Ranch, and it’s officially our happy place. There’s something magical about this spot — a mix of country calm, animal chaos, and the kind of hospitality that feels like coming home. James, the host, is the real deal. A solid Army vet, honest as the day is long, and just one of those guys you instantly trust. He takes time to show you around, chat about life, and make sure everything’s perfect — even if Tom the Turkey tries to steal the spotlight (again). Speaking of Tom, that bird is on permanent patrol. We brought him a fresh split cantaloupe, and let me tell you, it was love at first bite. He strutted around like a feathery sheriff making his rounds. And the best part? They’ve got “Butt Nuggets” — yep, farm-fresh chicken eggs with a name that guarantees a smile every breakfast. We fed the animals, watched the sun go down, breathed clean air, and remembered what peace actually feels like. This place is therapy with hooves and feathers. Already planning our third visit — because once you meet Tom and James, you’re basically part of the ranch family.

This was our second time staying at North Shore Relic Ranch, and somehow it just keeps getting better. We love coming back to feed the animals, soak in the peace of the countryside, and just slow down for a bit. James, our host, is an absolute gem — a humble and trustworthy Army vet who goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome. You can tell he genuinely cares about both his guests and his animals. Speaking of animals — Tom the Turkey was on full patrol again, strutting his stuff like he owns the place (which, honestly, he probably does). We brought him some fresh split cantaloupe, and he was very appreciative. Don’t leave without grabbing a few of their “Butt Nuggets” (aka fresh chicken eggs). They’re delicious, and buying them is just part of the fun charm that makes this place feel like home. If you want a stay that’s equal parts relaxing, quirky, and heartwarming — this is it. Already counting down the days till our next visit.

First off If I could rate higher I would ! From the moment we pulled in, James made us feel right at home. He’s friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely cares about every guest’s experience. As an Army vet, he brings this quiet integrity and humility that really sets the tone for the whole place. He took the time to walk us around the farm and introduce us to everything — and the stars of the show are definitely the turkeys. They’ve got huge personalities, guard the place like loyal dogs, and honestly made our whole trip even more memorable. The property itself is peaceful, clean, and perfect for primitive camping. There’s kayaking nearby, nature trails, fresh local eggs, and even farmers markets just down the road. It’s got that authentic, down-to-earth feel you can’t fake — the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer just to breathe it all in. For me I need to put my feet in the earth and swing on a hammock surrounded by trees- this is that place If you’re looking to unplug, reconnect with nature, and camp somewhere that feels like family, North Shore Relic Ranch is it.

We spent three peaceful nights at Lakeside RV and couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing getaway. The site was wonderfully private, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the quiet and lakeview. Our dog had an absolute blast—plenty of space to roam and nearby trails to explore. One of our favorite outings was to a nearby park with scenic walking paths and a beautiful boardwalk stretching over the lake—perfect for morning strolls and sunset views. Laura was fantastic to work with. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating, especially when we had to adjust our arrival due to unexpected weather. Her flexibility and clear communication made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Lakeside RV for anyone looking for a tranquil escape.

This was hands down the BEST Hipcamp I have been to. The area for the camper was nice and flat and large enough to accommodate any sizes. The hookups were perfectly placed. But the winner… the view! Looking out on the lake sipping morning coffee was hands down the best moments. If you are thinking about this one, just go ahead and book it.

Weekend Trip to North Shore Relic Ranch tee pee

This was a first solo camping adventure for me. The property is fascinating. The relics add a beauty to the property that you will have to see to appreciate. As someone who likes to resell items (nothing as interesting) I felt a childlike curiosity as I slowly drove up to the campsite, I couldn't help but loudly"whoa" at the vehicles and It kind of felt like an art gallery- in a rugged way if that makes sense 😂. I'm planning on bringing my 6-year-old next time who I know will love it just as much as me. The teepee site was very private. It had a screen door and electricity from a solar panel, cute decorations/ super cozy. Also included was a gazebo and a very clean porta potty. For what you're getting with the beautiful grounds and very nice hosts, this is an absolute steal and worth every single penny. The fire pit itself was top tier, had a grate and firewood is available. Do yourself a favor and book this site, though part of me doesn't want anyone else to know about it. 😄

Very peaceful and beautiful location! Truly able to relax and unwind as you overlook the lake. Very private and clean. Host was lovely, friendly, and very helpful - we struggled to level our fifth wheel (we did not have our leveling blocks) and she came out to help direct us to the best spot. We felt safe and enjoyed the views and animals. We spent a super rainy week here but it did not "dampen" our time!
