Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven. There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away! Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat! In the off season starting after Thanksgiving through April, there is no water or toilet or shower facilities available. Our 75 acres is a wonderful, diverse mix of habitat, harmoniously integrated with our small farm. This land was the homestead of the very first non native settler of the area, John Wiley, in 1787. Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock. The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you! Your host, Thom, invites you to property to explore 75 acres of meadows, woods and water. Choose one of several sites either in the woods or open areas. You are also free to use our outdoor solar shower or take a dip in the cold pond or artesian spring fed pool. Our location is convenient to the Berkshire Mountains, state parks, hiking and other attractions, including Ramble Wild tree to tree adventures and Jiminy Peak. Weekend Trip to Cherry Plain Sanctuary Farm

I loved spending the night at this property. Tipi camping with views of horses and goats. Very off grid. No electricity or running water and a composting toilet. I just sat most of the day watching the animals and enjoying an outside fire pit. I was traveling alone and felt very safe. Nice to just be out in nature for one night. There was a local restaurant nearby if you didn't want to cook on the fire, that was very reasonable. Jules the host was friendly and welcoming. Would go back again.

If your looking for seclusion with quick river access, surprisingly good reception to listen to tunes on Bluetooth and a site where you barely have to bring anything as everything you’ll need or want is supplied and set up for you then you’ll find it as delightful as I did. Weekend Trip to The Cabin

The most comfortable cabin with a stunning view!!!! Everything is so much more beautiful in person. Being there truly feels magical. I loved being surrounded by the ferns and wildlife. The view from the cabin is stunning. I recommend catching sunrise, even if you have to get up a bit early. At night, the fireflies put on a show that was unreal and left me speechless. The cabin is very clean and well kept, as well as the outhouse. I was impressed. The hosts are very kind and informative. You will not regret this stay.

Weekend Trip to Beavertides Farm

My sisters and I stayed at the camp for the weekend. We all had such a good time. It was restful and relaxing, and Maureen was a great host. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. The outhouse didn't even smell bad, and there were fresh flowers left in it. And in the tent We are already planning our next trip. The horses we're so sweet and we even got to see a gaggle of geese. We saw a million stars and built a campfire for smores. And the accommodations were comfortable. And beautiful. It felt like home away from home. Five out of five stars for this amazing stay.

Weekend Trip to Quentins Treehouse

This was our third visit and we had a great time as always. It’s a beautiful spot in a great area. We went swimming in the lake and hung out at the site most of the trip. Weekend Trip to The Cabin

The views were even more gorgeous than the pictures somehow, which I didn't think was possible. The hosts were so warm and welcoming, genuinely lovely people, and it was the sweetest bonus getting to meet their adorable dog Basil. They pointed us toward some great restaurants and gave us tips on things to do nearby that we never would've found on our own. The cabin felt so private, and I basically lived in the hammock. Slept better than I have in ages too. They have lots of paths and things to do right on the property as well. We even spotted a few deer from our window puttering about in the meadow. We only stayed one night, but we left completely relaxed. Can't recommend it enough.

2 nights at Hucklebuck Railway Campsites

We had such a great stay in the east camp. Paula and Bill really have thought of everything and made our stay stress free. Spacious skies is a cute family friendly campground. They have all the amenities you might need. The property is close to Bash Bish Falls and lots of hiking trails.

2 nights at Woodland’s Edge Campsite & Hot Tubs

Fern Gully is an absolutely accurate description of this woodland escape. Deep in the forest you will find a whimsically painted A-frame. Highly recommended for your journey to self reflection, practicing your bird song recognition, and reprogramming your natural circadian rhythm. There is a lake conveniently located a few miles away to get a break from the heat.

3 nights at Cherry Plain Sanctuary Farm

We loved camping at Cherry Plain! The teepee was spacious and extremely cool and the surrounding area was beautiful: trails leading into a fern-filled forest, horses and goats grazing in big pastures, a state park ten minutes away with a pretty pond to lay by. Jules and Jerome were very gracious and kind to us. Great hosts :) bring more blankets than you think though—the nights get cold! Julie provided us with some extra blankets. The site also had plenty of firewood and water provided.

Weekend Trip to Atland Artist Residency

We loved staying at the tiny cabin. The land is stunning, everything is so well thought out, and as comfortable as camping could be. The outdoor shower was a plus, as well as the clean well maintained compost bathroom. We felt totally comfortable there, and Tori was so kind and welcoming.

🤩 Wow! Next time I’d like to explore these trails because it’s going to take a couple days. The property is huge. If you’re having guest not from the East Coast, I’d come here to have them visit to get the true taste of New England here.

Lovely site, amenities, and access to the river. Paula and Bill were so nice and welcoming! I hope to come back with our friends and family when the weather is warmer and we can swim in the river.

Weekend Trip to Atland Artist Residency

We loved the cabin! there were other tent/glamp sites nearby, and the communal sink with well water was right outside the cabin too. We got to use the wood-heated hot tub - Tori kindly prepared and heated it up in time for our arrival. The tub was a true highlight of the stay, especially with the cool and rainy weather. The trails nearby are worth checking out and we befriended so many newts!

Weekend Trip to Maple Corner Farm

We really enjoyed camping on the farm! So many great experiences in a place that is so obviously well loved and taken care of! Our first stop was the farm store where we stocked up on farm raised steaks, nice big bundles of firewood and they even had a lighter (which we forgot). Even though it rained, the standing tent and the air mattress bunk beds kept us super dry and comfortable. It was like our own perfect country world! 10 out of 10 would recommend. David was great, super responsive and a wonderful host.
