Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven. There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away! Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat! Very nearby, as the Berkshires is a cultural mecca, there are also numerous opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more. This is also an ideal space to relax and work remotely, as it has an independent antenna to provide internet access to the entire unit and all the electronic equipment you need. I will ensure the unit is delivered to you with all its accessories in working order so you won't have any problems. I always suggest guests ask any necessary questions so they can use it without any issues. On the day of arrival, you will receive another message to refresh your knowledge of how to use the campervan. Close to the beach and sand, the city offers activities nearby so you won't have to go far to enjoy them. This campervan has all the qualities of a house, with the only difference being that you're on wheels—something truly delightful. I have two bicycles so you can take a ride along the bike path on the beach and enjoy the majestic scenery. A different way to have fun and experience something new. This is also an ideal space to relax and work remotely, as it has an independent antenna to provide internet access to the entire unit and all the electronic equipment you need. On the day of arrival, you will receive another message to refresh your knowledge of how to use the campervan. Close to the beach and sand, the city offers activities nearby so you won't have to go far to enjoy them. Weekend Trip to Heaven Sent Barn!

We overnighted here for my sons birthday fishing trip. 3x 13 year olds and dad. Jocelyn was an amazing host. Super friendly and approachable. The barn is a great place for cold nights and rain. It’s a great way to plan a camping trip without worrying about rain or weather. If you are into trout/small mouth fishing the Natchaug is right across the street and there are many many walks all around. Great location will definitely be back again!

Weekend Trip to Inlaw Apt @River near Casino, Kayak

Loved staying here! The view is amazing, and the outdoor patio area has a sofa and outdoor fire pit, which was so cozy on a cool fall night. We used the canoe on the river - loved that Gina has kayaks and a canoe for guests to use (and life vests). Inside the apartment was so clean and the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Gina left us a basket of snacks and fruit, coffee and a vase of beautiful fresh flowers welcomed us when we arrived. Gina was great to communicate with and answered all my questions. She lives upstairs, but we felt like we had the place the ourselves. I would highly recommend staying here. Also check out Arrowhead Acres bakery, winery and farm - just 12 minutes from the property. Delicious food and wine. Had dinner at a Peruvian restaurant in Norwich called Canggio Restaurant. Such great food!! Thanks Gina! We would love to come back!

Our night spent at Quentin’s treehouse was beyond phenomenal. Pictures don’t do the treehouse and the view justice and Quentin truly went above and beyond as a host! From helping us start a fire to coffee in the morning, to the thoughtfully available items such as an extra sleeping bag and cookware on site, I can’t recommend this Hipcamp enough. Without a doubt my favorite I’ve ever stayed at!

Weekend Trip to Quentins Treehouse

After reading the reviews and seeing the pictures, I wanted to have a one night getaway here for my birthday. Little did I know it would turn into something beautiful. My boyfriend and I booked this place a few months ago, and as a surprise, my bf had contacted Quentin about setting up a romantic evening for when we got there. Quentin was beyond accommodating! It turned out he would be out of town so he had his friend help out, which was super sweet! When we got there, it was magical! They setup the fire pit, candles everywhere, rose petals, they had a clawfoot tub converted into a hot tub out by the lake, a little table with chairs on the deck, wine, sparkling water - it was beyond. Thank you so much Quentin and Bridget for setting up the most amazing getaway for us! It was our first getaway as a couple and we couldn’t be more grateful for your hospitality and thoughtfulness. Weekend Trip to Quentins Treehouse

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon Quentins Treehouse a couple months back, we knew it was the getaway we desired. She obviously knew about the trip, but what she didnt know, was behind the scenes, Quentin and his friend Birgit assisted me in making the time much more than just a getaway, that made a memory for my girlfriend and I to remember for the rest of our lives. From filling up a tub with flowers and a fire underneath, to a bottle of wine and lighting up the dock. I could have asked for a better experience to celebrate my girlfriend on her birthday. We highly recommend Quentins Treehouse to anyone. He can turn the stay from just a night getaway, to a romantic abode on the lake side. Thank you again. We will return some day.

We had an amazing stay in Quentin’s treehouse. We arrived late but the instructions for arrival were clear and we found ourselves at a beautiful star lit lake. The treehouse was so cozy and we loved the hanging bed. Quentin was so friendly and it was wonderful to chat. We were also so excited about the paddle boards and got to explore the lake. Overall a beautiful experience and we hope to come back.

This was exactly what we needed as an escape from the big city! The cabin was cozy and peaceful, you could hear peepers and see the stars, and the goats were adorable. Melissa was a great host and we had everything we needed. Super close to Great Barrington with adorable shops and good food. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow! We spent a magical 3 nights in this lakeside treehouse. Woke up each morning inhaling the fresh air breeze through the fully screened treehouse and beautiful views of the lake right from bed. We had fun using the stand up paddleboards to explore the lake, jumped off the dock and went for swims and floats, snuggled up on the hammock for an afternoon nap in the sun. To my delightful surprise there was also a wood fired outdoor soaking tub which I was most excited about! We enjoyed hot tub star-gazing at night and even saw shooting stars! Wildlife watching was nice too: spotting a bald eagle perched in a tree on the property and early morning otter swims right in front of the dock! Quentin has thoughtfully stocked the firepit area and we made good used of the provided iron pans, grates, skewers etc to cook full meals and desserts over the campfire coals each night. He had plenty of firewood on site available for purchase. Quentin was also a warm host and greeted us with delicious cappuccinos in the mornings which was a very nice touch. Thanks for sharing your space with us Quentin! We enjoyed a much needed relaxing getaway in this unique treehouse. We hope to return.

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm

This place was so much fun! It was a beautiful, serene, country location. Don't let the farm vibe scare you - it wasn't smelly, "dirty," or muddy at all; just peaceful. The sound of crickets lulled us to sleep and the cool air made for a deep, restful night. With the door and windows closed, there wasn't much ambient (animal) noise and the rooster didn't wake me up like I expected. The "bed" was more comfortable than I expected. (I'm a wicked light sleeper and expected a rough night... It was anything but!) The RV was quaint and vintage, and so cozy and inviting. The bathroom is small but was just enough for us (shower and all.) Not having to sleep on the ground and being able to have my own restroom was precisely why we chose this site but it was leaps and bounds better than I expected. We'd return in a heartbeat. Nice, central location in CT, and if we were there longer, I would've loved to have used the kitchen and enjoyed the farm more. The coffee maker was a godsend first thing in the morning while we packed up. I feel like this would be an excellent place for an artist or a writer to escape and find inspiration. Lastly, the camper was away from the rest of the structures so we felt like the farm was ours. 1 night was not enough.

Accommodations and site were as described. Dominic is very friendly and helpful. It's a few miles off any main roads so it's very quiet and dark at night so the star gazing is excellent and so is the sleeping. I would note that there is no shower available for use but he will let you use the hose! :)
