Located on a quiet back road in southern Berkshire county. Dandelion Hill Farm is a sustainable, micro-goat dairy. Friendly goats, gardens galore, goat milk and fresh cheese and eggs are all aspects of this charismatic farm. The tiny comfortable cottage is newly renovated with a kitchenette and full size bed. Overlooks gardens, goat pastures and small barns. Right behind the cottage is a compostable outhouse and a propane heated outdoor shower that delivers warm to hot water. Access a trail head just behind the property that leads to Stockbridge Munsee overlook facing West. 3 miles up the road in New Marlbororough, is Umpachene falls that spills into the konkapot river. This was sacred ground for the Stockbridge Munsee Tribe.

Experience our small biodynamic farm. Volunteer to collect eggs, feed goats, play with the baby goats and harvest fresh produce for your meals. You could also get your hands dirty and help us with the weeding, planting and watering. Witness milking a goat and find comfort knowing that all our food is grown with love. Let us know at time of booking in order for us to meet your needs.Cottage sits up on a hill surrounded by woodland and is fully insulated with a infrared space heater for chilly nights. The cottage shares the land with the farm. You might have goats as neighbors during the warmer months and being led back to the barn. Bed linens and basic dishware provided. Small refrigerator for storing perishable items. Large oversized windows lend plenty of natural light to view the goats in pasture during the summer. Next to the cottage is a private compostable outhouse and a outdoor camping shower. The shower water is heated with propane. The shower has wonderful hot water. Running water inside cottage for lite cooking and cleaning. Electric 2 burner stove. Your car can be parked behind the cottage. Outdoor chairs and table.. The town of Great Barrington is 15 mins away. They have 2 large grocery stores and a food coop. The town of Sheffield has a pizza and pub. The Sheffield farmers market is on Friday. But we sell plenty of vegetable, cheese, eggs and Raw Fresh Goats Milk. Many folks love our goats milk. Clean, fresh and sweet. Our farm store is located in our garage which is just a stone throw from the cottage. Umpachene falls is 2 1/2 miles away. Paved road and dirt road leads to the falls. Lovely rocks to lay on during the summer months.
