We are building a labor of love and would love to have like minded folks joining our community by staying in Red Stripe Rhonda on the creek or our cabin on the cliff- The Little B. The 1950's Bellwood trailer could not be more charming with wood paneling, 1950's styling and positioned right overlooking the bridge on the creek. The outdoor heated shower has a view of the creek and a dry toilet. There are several seating areas capturing quaint vignettes of the farm fields, stunning views and produce. Oh and quite possibly our rooster crowing ;) Hike into the National Forest off the property. Guided hikes can also be arranged for an additional fee. Or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet!
Plenty of other hiking trails nearby, creeks and Slaughterhouse Gulch for those that love a good 4WD adventure.
A propane fire-pit will be provided for you so you can still enjoy a nice campfire. A propane heater is also available for chilly nights or winter camping. The Greenhouse also includes a camp stove, a percolator for making coffee or tea, minimal cookware and silverware. Potable water will be provided along with coffee and tea. Fresh eggs from our chickens can also be made available upon request for a small fee.
Cots and a hammock are available for use in the Greenhouse, but you will have to bring your own sleeping mats, sleeping bags and pillows. Sleeping mats and sleeping bags on the floor are also an option if you choose. Picnic tables are close to the Greenhouse for enjoying time outdoors.
The Glamping in the Aspens Tent has a wood burning stove in it that will be available starting later season 2024. Firewood for the wood stove will be provided for you. Just outside the tent is a picnic table with BBQ grill and propane fire pit. There is a porch area with outdoor kitchen and a queen sized bed inside the tent. A comfy dog bed is also included.
A composting toilet is available for use. No showers currently available (Bath House coming soon).
Well behaved dogs are allowed, however, they must be on a leash or under voice command.
There are 2 dogs that live on the property as well as chickens, turkeys, and a cat. All will be contained so as not to disturb (except for the occasional rooster crow).

The space
The house is located on an acre of land in Black Hawk, CO which is about an hour outside of Denver just past the Golden Gate Canyon State Park. The surrounding area has amazing Mountain Views and you can drive to the town of Black Hawk for dinner/Casinos in about 20 minutes (depending on the weather), to Rollinsville in about 20 minutes in the other direction, or to El Dora in about 30 minutes.
Given that it takes about 20 minutes to get to any neighboring small town, note that the house location is remote. It is located in a residential neighborhood where most houses are on an acre of land. Because of that, sound travels very easily so while it is usually quiet, you can easily hear dogs barking or music.
Guests love that this space is PRIVATE on an entire acre of land without any street noise. Enjoy this beautiful home without worrying about where or when you have to be somewhere.
Black Hawk - have your own private space and hot tub & escape some of the madness of staying at the casinos by opting to stay at Little Gem Lodge!
Small Towns (Rollinsville, Nederland, Black Hawk, Wondervu, Idaho Springs) - there are lots of cute local restaurants and breweries in each of these towns.
Hiking + Cross Country Ski/Rec Areas - You have close access to Golden Gate Canyon State Park, St Mary's Glacier, Rocky Mountain National Park (~1-1.5 hours), 14ers. It's an awesome outdoor enthusiast location in any season because of its proximity to the mountains and state parks.
You will have access to the entire house. It’s two stories with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the main level and one bedroom/one bathroom on the second level.

Hiking + Cross Country Ski/Rec Areas - You have close access to Golden Gate Canyon State Park, St Mary's Glacier, Rocky Mountain National Park (~1-1.5 hours), 14ers. It's an awesome outdoor enthusiast location in any season because of its proximity to the mountains and state parks.
You will have access to the entire house. It’s two stories with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the main level and one bedroom/one bathroom on the second level.

Dirt roads lead to the property that require at a minimum an AWD or 4x4 vehicle.

Weekend Trip to Monument Creek Glamping
My husband and I had a really great night at the sunshine tent! I will say, definitely don’t plan to go when it’s retold like we did. The host provides a lovely propane heater, but it can only do so much. The hot tub was a wonderful sight and was very comfortable and clean. The space has a small, private fence around it which makes it that much nicer. We had a very sweet cat visitor with us all night snuggling up to keep warm. Would absolutely recommend!

What a lovely 2 nights spent among the trees and sky in Evergreen. The space is so comfortable and relaxing. You wake up to pine trees and delicious coffee in the Chemex. We watched movies on the big screen, made pizzas in the Ooni oven and soaked in the hot tub. The beds were just right and the kitchen had what we needed. We even had a deer family visit us in the snow. The hosts were so nice and great communicators. Highly recommend!

We chose to stay at the cabin with the sauna. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and very cozy. Being there when it snowed really added to the experience and made it feel extra peaceful and special. Just be sure to drive carefully in snowy/icy weather. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The host was very responsive and communicative, which we appreciated. Overall, a lovely cabin and a great stay.

Ernest's Tiny House Forest Cabin was the perfect weekend winter getaway! Ernest is extremely responsive, cabin is well equipped/cozy, and everything works flawlessly - heated floors were a bonus!

A gorgeous, private space for those that love nature, but also want luxury. There were heated floors, a loft that was fun for the kids, a projection screen for movie nights, a huge window that made you feel like you were outside, a sauna and everything you need to feel safe and cozy.

This was the perfect cabin for a family getaway. We enjoyed all the amenities: the big screen for movies, wood burning stove and hot tub. The bed was comfy and scenery pretty. I personally would have liked a normal coffee pot, but my son liked the drip pot. It was nice to have laundry onsite to wash towels.

What a magical, well cared for place. It was clear the owners thought of every special touch. We stayed in the big cabin on the property. My partner and I loved our stay at the tiny house! The sauna setup and giant windows were really the selling points for us. Was also fun to hand-grind coffee to be more present. The aspen leaves changing were an added bonus! There were two other sites on the property, but the folks staying there were friendly, and it was overall still a very peaceful place. 10/10 recommend for a little weekend getaway for two.

The neighborhood was cute and quaint. You have a private space with a walking trail in your back yard. The RV is decorated with wood fairies in mind...loved that! We stayed two nights and were happy with having a space that was close to the city because everything was easy to get to. I never met Lauryn, but she was responsive and had an amazing list of recommendations for us to do! Thanks for the stay and Denver is one of my Favorite Cities!!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the A frame cabin. The modern and minimalist design was really comfy- we felt right at home. There are many great places to explore and hike nearby. We enjoyed starting and ending our days appreciating the nature views in the living room. The fall was a beautiful time of year to visit and Ernest was a great host!

We loved spending the weekend on this property. It was exactly as pictured and was clean and comfortable. The amenities (hot tub, projector, fire pit) were also great. Hoping I can come back someday! 10/10 would recommend. We had a wonderful time staying here! It’s so beautiful and peaceful. It’s in a residential neighborhood, but you’d never think it. The cabin is in its own area with an herb / flower garden and we loved hammocking. Beth was very kind and made sure we were well taken care of during our stay and answered any questions we had.
