Fire Safety (County Burn Ban): Elbert County has a strict wood burning ban. No open wood fires permitted. This includes a strict ban on burning sticks or wood in the propane fireplace. Use only the provided propane/grill setups.
Dog Policy: Well-behaved dogs are welcome for $10 per dog, per night. Dogs must be leashed at all times—no off-leash roaming allowed for the safety of your dog and our animals. Add this fee as an "EXTRA" during booking.
Arrival by 7:00 PM Required: Standard check-in is 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Arriving before dark makes navigation easier and minimizes disruption to animals.

Treehouse Magic sits on an 80-acre horse ranch 6476 feet above Sea level (+ 20 feet for the treehouse!!) Built by hand, with love, and a little help from our friends over a 4-year period. Treehouse Magic is built around PAL an over 80+-year-old Ponderosa Pine.
This wonderful space is magical in every way! Only 300 sq. feet with an almost 1100 sq. foot deck, including the covered gnome room. The upstairs bedroom is a full mattress (14" gel mattress). There is also a fold-out couch to sleep 1. The main level couch will fold down and become another bed platform. We provide a CordaRoys transformable chair, that unzips and becomes the bed topper (plus extra sheets, blankets and pillows). Some of the kid guests like to sleep in the Gnome room in the "pop-up" tent and cots (during the Summer months). We provide a "smart movie projector" with built-in ROKU, for a movie night...The outdoor kitchen includes a PitBoss pellet smoker/grill, and propane griddle. The kitchen has a 2-burner gas stove and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a Nature's Head composting toilet... (a little tutorial is needed) a sink and a trough step-in tub/shower with rain head. Wifi- Roku on inside TV as well or just the calm of beautiful nature!
Please note: This is a real treehouse!! Running water will be turned off from Nov-April (except for warm days and we can turn on for a short time). We will be sure you have plenty of potable water for drinking and using.

We began this venture in 2012 by purchasing 35 acres overlooking a 7000 acre homestead that was sold to a developer who is selling acreage from 35 - 500 acre parcels. We are located on the beautiful eastern plains of Colorado southeast of Denver. Rolling hills dotted with Ponderosa pines that encourage wildlife to settle in. Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans are all visible on clear days. We have 35 acres and raised alpaca’s until recently, chickens, cats and dogs as well as a large garden. We are totally off grid and enjoy life in the home my husband built using trees he cut down and milled on his sawmill. We lived on the property in a 400sq ft cottage while building the house. We have numerous camping spots available in a small grove of Ponderosa Pines or on the plains if you want a clear view of the stars at night! A rustic outhouse is available close by as is a water hydrant. Parking is available close by.
We added the Bijou Tree House to our options a couple years ago! It is a one room cabin (sleeps 2on a queen size built in bed) with an incredible picture window that frames Pikes Peak beautifully. It is nestle among some old Ponderosa Pines; sports a cute but tiny wood burning stove; bar table in front of the window; deck with seating and a propane camp chef 2 burner stove. A hammock is available for use and private outhouse just a few feet away.
We love sharing our story, our home and the beautiful place God has gifted us with people from all over the world and hope to host you as well. Come Camp and relax. Watch and listen to the birds; the deer and antelope really do play here. Just this morning two little fawns were chasing each other through the gully. We are blessed with beautiful sunrises and sunsets; stars at night and an added bonus is our Farm Store where we showcase products made from our alpaca's, and trees my husband has cut down... !

Oh and quite possibly our rooster crowing ;) Hike into the National Forest off the property. Guided hikes can also be arranged for an additional fee. Or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet!
Plenty of other hiking trails nearby, creeks and Slaughterhouse Gulch for those that love a good 4WD adventure.
A propane fire-pit will be provided for you so you can still enjoy a nice campfire. A propane heater is also available for chilly nights or winter camping. The Greenhouse also includes a camp stove, a percolator for making coffee or tea, minimal cookware and silverware. Potable water will be provided along with coffee and tea. Fresh eggs from our chickens can also be made available upon request for a small fee.
Cots and a hammock are available for use in the Greenhouse, but you will have to bring your own sleeping mats, sleeping bags and pillows. Sleeping mats and sleeping bags on the floor are also an option if you choose. Picnic tables are close to the Greenhouse for enjoying time outdoors.
The Glamping in the Aspens Tent has a wood burning stove in it that will be available starting later season 2024. Firewood for the wood stove will be provided for you. Just outside the tent is a picnic table with BBQ grill and propane fire pit. There is a porch area with outdoor kitchen and a queen sized bed inside the tent. A comfy dog bed is also included.
A composting toilet is available for use. No showers currently available (Bath House coming soon).
Well behaved dogs are allowed, however, they must be on a leash or under voice command.
There are 2 dogs that live on the property as well as chickens, turkeys, and a cat. All will be contained so as not to disturb (except for the occasional rooster crow).

This was EXACTLY the weekend getaway I was hoping for with my 2 kiddos. The setup was simple yet had all the little amenities you'd need to make it a super easy packing trip. The yurt tent itself was perfect for the 3 of us. There was a cot and mattress pad for my boys, we just brought their sleeping bags, pillow, and blanket. The queen mattress was comfortable and even had a heated feature which was lovely! There was a small fridge/cooler, charge station, hot water pot, Keurig coffee, and a large water pitcher that lasted us all weekend. Outside the tent there were chairs, a table, a propane gas fit pit for roasting marshmallows, and a tree hammock which my boys loved. Right next to the tent was a dry bathroom that was interesting to use but worked fine for our needs. Nice to have something close. Waking up to the sounds of birds was so relaxing. We took a walk around the property and got to say hello to all the different animals. 10mins away is Elizabeth with a Safeway and some restaurants and 20mins away is Parker with a larger plethora of food options. George and Candice were gracious and responsive hosts who do great work for these animals. I cannot recommend their glamping site enough for anyone who wants a stress free experience out in nature!

We loved RV camping on Dans land. He is very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. He is super friendly and my kids loved helping him collect sticks and exploring the property!

This stay couldn’t have been any better! We definitely plan on coming back! (Possibly with our friends!)
The cabin its self was great, it had lots of stuff needed for your basic camping activities. We realized there were lots of extra items/tools that were available that we didn’t think about ahead of time.
The area around was so neat and definitely a nice quiet place to stay! It was even a more convenient area to stay, we were within distance to see the Florissant fossil beds, Cheyenne zoo, garden of the gods & more!
Dan was awesome & super attentive. He knew a lot of cool history about the area, had lots of recommendations of things to do, and went the extra mile so we could see the wildlife!
We appreciate the hospitality and highly recommend staying here!

We loooved the A-frame on Ernest’s property! Everything was well-appointed and very clean. Ernest was prompt to reply. We explored the land on a hike and had a great time. Highly recommend!
Note: the weather can be colder/snowier than in Evergreen. Consider when packing :)

I would say the place is spectacularly beautiful- the dry toilet (bag of sawdust on a bucket with a seat) was in a children’s wooden playhouse out back so not ideal for those who are tall or prone to head injury!

Weekend Trip to Yeti Sanctuary
Peaceful and quiet. There is WiFi if you need it. I didn’t want any and there is a little electricity if you need it. Tim was friendly. Unfortunately could not start a fire because of weather conditions, but he had a grill available. Definitely a place I want to go back too.

2 nights at Harmony Ridge Farm: Cabin/Camping
What a charming comfortable cabin! Set in a nestle of old ponderosa pines with a nice patio to let the breeze and the birdsong wash away the stresses of the city. We were greeted with a gift bag of bottled water and homemade cookies upon arrival and later the hosts had a six pack of farm fresh eggs for us. Beautiful views of Pikes Peak, Mount Evans, and Longs Peak were interrupted only by Western Meadowlarks, Sparrows and Broad Tailed Hawks. Definitely a place to return to!

We had such a cozy stay here. The cabin is adorable and the views are seriously unreal, outside and inside through those big windows. Everything was clean (even the bathroom) and we loved all the little extras like cooking gear, games, and portable heater. Only thing to note is there aren't linens or pillows, but overall it was such a special, beautiful and peaceful spot.

This place is magic. It really is. We rented it for my Son's 12th birthday, the boys enjoyed it. My Daughter fell in love with it! She counted the gnomes, the ants, she enjoyed lounging in the hammocks, the peacefulness of the place is stunning. The stars at night were so good. Horses, goats, great hosts. I had an incredible stay at this cabin! The view alone is absolutely breathtaking—perfect for relaxing mornings and peaceful evenings. Inside, everything felt thoughtfully designed and had a cozy yet luxurious touch, adding to the overall high-end feel of the space. The cabin was also very well stocked with camping essentials, which made our stay easy and stress-free. On top of that, the drive from Denver was simple and convenient, making it a perfect getaway without being too far out.
