The small cabin is very comfortable & has everything you need in regard to chairs, cookware, etc. My only advice would be to be sure to know your way out because Google maps got me there easily but there’s no cell service so be sure to remember your way back. Beautiful lake & Tim was so helpful!

Staff was friendly and helpful, cabin was basic and comfortable. Good value for the money. The bathrooms were.. fine. Kids loved the pool which was an unexpected amenity. The arcade was filled with of classic arcade games but unfortunately many were out of service because, well, they were 30-40 years old. Lone Duck was comfortable, people were quiet and respectful, and overall completely adequate.

Definitely recommend this place. Tim is very welcoming. Missed him at check-in, but he came by later and we chatted for a good hour or so. Location is also a good spot, there is no signal, but town is about 20 minutes away and Woodland Park is about 30 minutes away. Right next to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, which is one of Colorado's International Dark Sky Places. The hut itself is simple and rustic. Communal fire pit as well as canoes and kayak to use on the pond.

We loved our trip to the Fishermans Cabin! The sun would shine down on the side of the mountains to our south each evening at sunset for a stunning view. We were a ways from the river and thought we would be closer and also found out we couldn't fish the river because the fisherman's club has bought up the land around the river making it inaccessible to others. But we didn't have to go far to find a place to stick our feet in the river. The cabin was cozy and clean and well stocked with essential needs. Toilet shack was clean and not far at all from the cabin. Highly recommend a trip to this place. Lots to do and lots to see in that area! Or, a great place to just lay in the hammock, also provided, and enjoy the smell of pine and enjoy watching wildlife. Thank you Simon for the wonderful experience. We alos got to meet the grounds keeper who lived just down from there ,,Bearcat I believe was his nickname...super sweet man and he brought more supplies and water for us and offered more blankets if we needed. Dan is wonderful, kind and helpful and knowledgeable about hike. He was very responsive too. Cabin was good if u are small as we are, talker or heavier people might find it a bit crowded. Clean quarters. Great mattress, pleasant grounds and wildlife. Hot shower and bathroom as described and good after a day’s hike. We liked the place!

We loved staying at Dan's Cabin - Outlaw Bunks which was exactly as described, cozy, convenient and with the amenities you would look for in a quiet vacation stay. His property is in the middle of an Aspen grove that makes it all the more interesting with plenty of deer around. Dan was a great host, always eager to respond to any questions, provide great recommendations and share some interesting stories. I would definitely recommend his place for anyone looking for a nice experience in the woods and still be accessible to the nearby attractions like Mueller State Park, Florissant, Cripple Creek, Victor etc

The first time I saw this beautiful heavily wooded 12-acre property, I immediately put in an offer. That was 18 years ago. I spent the next 11 years chasing corporate goals which I finally realized were inconsistent with my soul. I started a family and decided to sell this property. I brought my then 2 year old daughter here so she could see it once before I sold it. As we drove up highway 285 through vistas each more stunning than the last, I was moved to tears by the beauty. A-Lodge Boulder is a 30 room lodge just 2 miles above downtown Boulder, Colorado. We are located in a wilderness area of Boulder Canyon, right at the junction with Fourmile Canyon. We have three #vanlife sites and four tentsites for offer on Hipcamp. We have a BRAND NEW barrel sauna, hot tub, grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from your campsite. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion! Walk-in sites are just a short hike, about 100 feet, on an unmanicured trail to our platforms. We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc. A-Lodge has a 7-day non-refundable cancellation policy. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival, 50% of the total is non-refundable. Our guests love us too!
