We began this venture in 2012 by purchasing 35 acres overlooking a 7000 acre homestead. We are located on the beautiful eastern plains of Colorado southeast of Denver. Rolling hills dotted with Ponderosa pines that encourage wildlife to settle in. Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans all visible on clear days. We have 35 acres and raise alpaca’s, chickens, cats and dogs as well as a large garden. We are totally off grid and enjoy life in the home my husband built using trees he cut down and milled on his sawmill. We lived on the property in a 400sq ft cottage while building the house and this cottage is now available to rent. Water is available outside and the outhouse is just a few steps away. It comes equipped with a woodturning stove you can use to cook on. We added the Bijou Tree House to our options a couple years ago! It is a one room cabin (sleeps 2) with an incredible picture window that frames Pikes Peak beautifully. It is nestle among some old Ponderosa Pines; sports a cute but tiny wood burning stove; bar table in front of the window; deck with seating and a propane camp chef 2 burner stove. A hammock is available for use and private outhouse just a few feet away. Across the gulley is the new Sawmill Cabin built under the canopy of Jim's sawmill. It is small, and can sleep 3 with a unique bunk over a queen sized platform bed. A small deck, fire pit all under a covered open space. More kids? Bring a tent! there’s room! Numerous tent sites are available all within easy walking to your car. An outhouse is close by. We love sharing our story and our home and the beautiful place God has gifted us with people from all over the world and hope to host you as well. Come Camp; and relax. Watch and listen to the birds, deer and antelope really do play here two little fawns were chasing each other through the gully just this morning. We are blessed beautiful sunrises and sunsets; stars at night and an added bonus is our Farm Store where we showcase products made from our alpaca's, and trees my husband has cut down... !

The main level couch will fold down and become another bed platform. We provide a CordaRoys transformable chair, that unzips and becomes the bed topper (plus extra sheets, blankets and pillows). Some of the kid guests like to sleep in the Cabana room in the "pop-up" tent and cots! We provide a "smart movie projector" with built-in ROKU, for a movie night...The outdoor kitchen includes a PitBoss pellet smoker/grill, and propane griddle. The kitchen has a 2-burner gas stove and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a Nature's Head composting toilet... (a little tutorial is needed) a sink and a trough step-in tub/shower with rain head. Wifi- Roku on inside TV as well or just the calm of beautiful nature! Every detail was thought of. A MUST-TRY EXPERIENCE! *Absolutely NO candles or open fires, please!! There is a propane firepit. Maximum of 2 dogs. $40 per dog. Additional rules apply for dog guests and must be cleared with the host prior. Please pick up after your dogs, there are poo-poo bags provided in Treehouse. Please do not leave the dogs unattended EVER in the treehouse, on the deck. Please use dog kennel if needed. We have a BRAND NEW barrel sauna, hot tub, grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from your campsite. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion! Walk-in sites are just a short hike, about 100 feet, on an unmanicured trail to our platforms. We began this venture in 2012 by purchasing 35 acres overlooking a 7000 acre homestead. We are located on the beautiful eastern plains of Colorado southeast of Denver. It is a one room cabin (sleeps 2) with an incredible picture window that frames Pikes Peak beautifully. It is nestle among some old Ponderosa Pines; sports a cute but tiny wood burning stove; bar table in front of the window; deck with seating and a propane camp chef 2 burner stove. A hammock is available for use and private outhouse just a few feet away. Across the gulley is the new Sawmill Cabin built under the canopy of Jim's sawmill. It is small, and can sleep 3 with a unique bunk over a queen sized platform bed. A small deck, fire pit all under a covered open space. More kids? Bring a tent! there’s room! Numerous tent sites are available all within easy walking to your car. An outhouse is close by. We love sharing our story and our home and the beautiful place God has gifted us with people from all over the world and hope to host you as well. Come Camp; and relax. Just got back from an incredible stay at this A-Frame, and I can’t say enough good things about it. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The cabin itself is cozy, beautifully designed, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway, which is exactly what you want when you escape into the outdoors. But what truly made the trip stand out was the host, Stephanie. She was absolutely amazing. Her communication was quick and friendly, she gave clear directions, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests’ experience. The location was perfect for a quiet weekend of camping vibes mixed with cabin comfort. Whether we were relaxing on the deck, enjoying the view, or winding down inside after a day of exploring, it all felt like the ideal getaway. Highly recommend staying here! We’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing time staying at the cabin. The cabin was well stocked with propane and water, and the power station looked very nice too! The cabin itself is very cute, comfortable, has a fantastic view, and definitely feels private and secluded from the rest of the grounds. Stephanie was extremely responsive and eager to help, and was able to secure a sturdy ladder for us to get to the bed mere minutes after the request. The cabin definitely still has some construction items remaining, but is more than finished enough to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Overall my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time and will most definitely be coming back next year!!

We had an awesome time at the Laughing Valley Ranch! Bill showed us around and we loved looking at the animals, he’s a very knowledgeable and kind man. The campsite was an a gorgeous outlook that made for fantastic views. We are birders, so loved all of the cool birds around. Joe also made our stay super easy and comfortable! He gave us rides to the site, made sure we had wood and water, and showed us some cool spots around the land. Big shoutout to Joe! Overall we really enjoyed our time here, great place to get away and take in the mountain view’s for a couple of days, while not being super far from Denver and the cute town of Idaho Springs. Recommend this spot for any hiking, camping, or overall nature lovers.

This Magical Treehouse and land were everything my family needed and more!! We could not have asked for a more pleasant and peaceful retreat! Marni gave us a rundown of the facilities, and we couldn't have imagined a better stay. From the whimsical hand-crafted beauty of the actual treehouse around "Pal", to the amenities (including games/fun, cooking utilities/supplies, Wi-Fi/TV accommodations and plenty of warmth and cozy blankets and pillows, even full working bathroom facilities), down to the quiet starlit nights including a fire pit on the patio to keep warm while star-gazing! My son especially loved visiting and interacting with the extremely affectionate and friendly free roaming animals we got to interact with and became especially fond of, even giving our own little names to each, as they greeted us kindly several times each day. Only complaint was that we couldn't afford a longer stay!.. as each of us were sad to leave and say goodbye to the relaxing and intimate natured feel of the place, and our very welcoming and accommodating hosts. We felt secure even in the peaceful darkness around us knowing the host's dogs were looking out for us into the night. We will definitely be returning next season for a longer stay if welcomed, as Marni/Frank were on call for any questions or needs, we had throughout the stay, and were exceptionally kind to us as well. Thank you for such a pleasant experience to get us "away from it all" and the delight of bringing nature closer! XOX

The neighborhood was cute and quaint. You have a private space with a walking trail in your back yard. The RV is decorated with wood fairies in mind...loved that! We stayed two nights and were happy with having a space that was close to the city because everything was easy to get to. I never met Lauryn, but she was responsive and had an amazing list of recommendations for us to do! Thanks for the stay and Denver is one of my Favorite Cities!!

The Stargazer A frame cabin we stayed in was incredible. The sites are relatively close together but are extremely well placed so you still get privacy and good views. We made a fire in the firepit and lounged in the hammock before going to bed. The weather got gloomy but it was so cozy inside that it wasn't a problem, even without heat/electricity. After the storm had passed we went outside in the dark and the sky was absolutely gorgeous and starry. Very peaceful and much needed.

The Tiny House: The tiny house is a luxurious stay for hipcampers. It boasts a loft with queen size bed, and secondary loft with an additional mattress upon request. There is a full kitchen with fridge, gas stove/oven and sink. Enjoy a bath in the soaking tub or a quick shower in the bathroom, which also has a composting toilet (don't worry, it doesn't smell!) and sink. Relax on the couch or outside in your private sitting area that looks into the national forest. Electricity, wi-fi, and heat included. The tiny house can sleep 4, although may be better suited to 2 if you don't want to be rubbing elbows. The Property: The tiny house is parked nearby the main house on the property where we live. We are at the dead end of the road, and the property abuts National Forest with trails for miles and incredible views of nearby peaks. We have three dogs who you may hear occasionally, but who live in their own fenced yard attached to the main house. Though we live on the property, the tiny house is your own private space and we'll respect your privacy during your stay. Neighboring houses are visible from the property in one direction. The other direction all that can be seen is trees, mountains and sky. There is space to pitch a tent next to the tiny house for additional hipcampers. Please note, we sit at about 8600' elevation which means in the summer you can enjoy a good 10-15 degree temperature drop from the flatlands. Ahhh. In the winter, it will also typically be colder and snowier. Be prepared for the altitude and be sure to hydrate (and consider drinking less alcohol than you normally tolerate) so you can remain healthy and enjoy your stay.

Our family has resided on this magnificent property for over 20 years. In the 1950s, before the home was built, our land was known as "the point." Lovers used to drive onto the property, park at the end of the lot which overlooks the eastern plains, and... you know... We live on 6.5 acres of stunning forested land located 1000 feet above downtown Boulder. Our property rests on a peninsula with views of the white-capped peaks to the west and the city lights to the east. The property feels far away from the bustle of city life, yet it is only an EIGHT-MINUTE drive to the heart of downtown Boulder's historic shopping district and ten minutes from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Vista Tranquila, the name given to our property by its previous owners, has trails to meander, picnic tables, horseshoes, swings hanging from the trees, a competitive-level trampoline, benches with views, and hammocks. The communal food prep area has a gas grill, a table for food prep, and a seating area. We request that guests pack out all trash. Since we do not provide stoves, pans, utensils, or cleanup facilities, please bring paper towels to wipe off your stoves, pans, dishes, and utensils. A well-maintained portable flush toilet is provided in a tall tent near the main residence. A spigot can be found with fresh well water on the back side of the main residence. We do not offer showers. However, the Boulder Recreation Center (a 10-minute drive) offers showers and other facilities for a small fee. You can enjoy a historic mining town experience with fine dining and live bluegrass/ folk music at the town of Gold Hill which is less than 20 minutes up our canyon. Kayakers, climbers, hikers, and cyclists (mountain, road, and gravel) will have an outdoor playground within a very short drive or right outside our door. World-class climbing located at Eldorado Canyon State Park is only a 25-minute drive. If you seek bigger peaks beyond Boulder Mountain Parks, the Indian Peaks Wilderness and Rocky Mountain National Park are a gorgeous 45-minute drive.

A propane fire-pit will be provided for you so you can still enjoy a nice campfire.  A propane heater is also available for chilly nights or winter camping.  The Greenhouse also includes a camp stove, a percolator for making coffee or tea, minimal cookware and silverware. Potable water will be provided along with coffee and tea. Fresh eggs from our chickens can also be made available upon request for a small fee. Cots and a hammock are available for use in the Greenhouse, but you will have to bring your own sleeping mats, sleeping bags and pillows. Sleeping mats and sleeping bags on the floor are also an option if you choose. Picnic tables are close to the Greenhouse for enjoying time outdoors. The Glamping in the Aspens Tent has a wood burning stove in it that will be available starting later season 2024. Firewood for the wood stove will be provided for you. Just outside the tent is a picnic table with BBQ grill and propane fire pit. There is a porch area with outdoor kitchen and a queen sized bed inside the tent. A comfy dog bed is also included. A composting toilet is available for use. No showers currently available (Bath House coming soon). Well behaved dogs are allowed, however, they must be on a leash or under voice command. There are 2 dogs that live on the property as well as chickens, turkeys, and a cat. All will be contained so as not to disturb (except for the occasional rooster crow). Feel free to message us with any questions you may have! **4WD or higher clearance AWD vehicles can make it up to the property.  We can also provide shuttle service in one of our 4WD vehicles at no additional charge.  Either way, we will meet and greet you at the entrance to Deer Creek Campground :)**
