We began this venture in 2012 by purchasing 35 acres overlooking a 7000 acre homestead. We are located on the beautiful eastern plains of Colorado southeast of Denver. Rolling hills dotted with Ponderosa pines that encourage wildlife to settle in. Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans all visible on clear days. We have 35 acres and raise alpaca’s, chickens, cats and dogs as well as a large garden. We are totally off grid and enjoy life in the home my husband built using trees he cut down and milled on his sawmill. We lived on the property in a 400sq ft cottage while building the house and this cottage is now available to rent. Water is available outside and the outhouse is just a few steps away. It comes equipped with a woodturning stove you can use to cook on.
We added the Bijou Tree House to our options a couple years ago! It is a one room cabin (sleeps 2) with an incredible picture window that frames Pikes Peak beautifully. It is nestle among some old Ponderosa Pines; sports a cute but tiny wood burning stove; bar table in front of the window; deck with seating and a propane camp chef 2 burner stove. A hammock is available for use and private outhouse just a few feet away. Across the gulley is the new Sawmill Cabin built under the canopy of Jim's sawmill. It is small, and can sleep 3 with a unique bunk over a queen sized platform bed. A small deck, fire pit all under a covered open space. More kids? Bring a tent! there’s room!
Numerous tent sites are available all within easy walking to your car. An outhouse is close by.
We love sharing our story and our home and the beautiful place God has gifted us with people from all over the world and hope to host you as well. Come Camp; and relax. Watch and listen to the birds, deer and antelope really do play here two little fawns were chasing each other through the gully just this morning. We are blessed beautiful sunrises and sunsets; stars at night and an added bonus is our Farm Store where we showcase products made from our alpaca's, and trees my husband has cut down... !

All of our campsites are tucked in the trees to give you privacy and shelter from the Colorado breeze. Bring your bikes and ride to the paint mines or explore the property on our trails and stay close. Diane is so sweet and showed us all of their beautiful friendly animals and plants when we arrived and even offered fresh goat milk and a plant starter! The land was gorgeous and we got to watch adorable goats from our tent. One of my favorite camping experiences ever!"

The camping space is a 1/3 acre field adjacent to a barn and barn-yard with goats and chickens who love to interact with people. It is near (walking distance) the communities of Edgewater, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood and Denver. You can also walk less than 1 minute to a bus stop which will take you to East to downtown Denver, West to Golden, connects with the Light rail, airport and points in between. Just 5 blocks away is a great neighborhood bar and grill, a beer garden and a bakery. Many other dining, pub and brewery options just 10 blocks away. Popular Sloans Lake park is 12 blocks away and quieter Crown Hill Lake/Park is about 20 blocks away. We have free WiFi, basic 15 amp electric service and fresh water on a fill-your-tank basis. Secluded! Cool view on the distant horizon that was about a five minute walk away, and at night looking East over the blinking lights of hundreds (thousands?) of windmills. Not many places you will see this! Dark sky was also good as the Milky Way was directly overhead. Antelope also were around.

My family and I loved camping at Stephanie's Sunrise Campsite. We chose Site 1 from the reviews and it didn't disappoint. It was private and had spectacular views. The bathroom facility was clean and was thoughtfully stocked. We even had a surprise visitor in the morning, a majestic buck exploring. We would love to come back again in the spring.

Jamie and her young son showed us the way, he did bike wheelies and double checked to make sure we we’re good while they showed us to our campsite. Couldnt ask for a better or sweeter welcome :)

EXACTLY what we were looking for. So peaceful, quiet, and absolutely beautiful and clean. Weather was a little iffy while we were there. We were at campsite #4 - highly recommend. You can’t see any other campsites, there’s a trail with some beautiful scenery at the end, and you have soooo much space for all of your stuff! Read the instructions on how to get there three times over. It’s a little confusing, and the terrain is rough so I would make sure to bring some type of 4 wheel drive. We took my husbands truck, but my sedan wouldn’t have made it.

Great host and some pretty killer views! Andy has worked hard at providing a lot for his guests. Outdoor furniture and shade canopies for tent campers and RVers too. We were headed west and wanted a one night stay near Denver. Worked out perfectly for us. Will stay here again if ever passing through.
FYI, there is a great grocery store in Bennett, King Soopers, where we could restock everything for our trip.
